Ruffgers Dog University Naples, Florida

My Pom Oreo loves it here. Clean, easy drop off & pick up, feels safe & secure. He’s doing daycare & soon boarding sometime. He’s well taken care of, leading a lot, working on being more social, & a friend recommended Ruffgers so we’re very happy how he’s doing there each time. I love the report cards & knowing he’s happy & safe with people who love animals. He loves ‘going to school!’

I LOVE Ruffgers. My dog Snoopy loves Ruffgers even more! The staff is friendly and kind. When I pick up my dog from either day care or if he is staying overnight, he comes back to me healthy and happy. I cannot say enough good things about Ruffgers!

Ruffgers is the absolute best. I’m so so happy we found this place when we did! Draco is always so happy to be there which is clear sign he loves it just as much as we do. The staff are so sweet and always so excited to see him (minus his jumping on them, LOL). They take such amazing care of him which makes this fur mama happy. Not to mention, it smells so clean in there - compared to Pet Paradise. We take him every Saturday and board maybe once a month. I never had any issues with boarding, and they are so quick to respond through email when I need to book him for daycare or boarding. The one time Draco got scratched on his ear, they were quick to call me to let me know he’s fine and they took care of it :) We’ve been taking him there since he was 4 months old!

They took great care of my puppy while I was in vacation. She was happy and clean when I picked her up. Now we are taking training classes!

This is the cleanest, most professional dog care facility I have experienced. All the employees are dog lovers and treat your dog as their own. This place is awesome and my dog absolutely loves it here!

Best place to leave your dog and have peace of mind that she will receive the best care possible. I have been going there for almost one year and have never met a grumpy employee. You can tell they truly love dogs! The facility is immaculate, never a smell of any kind. I will continue the daycare for my dog and have no reservation at all if I have to board her should I go out of town. She truly loves going there to play and learn.

Ruffgers University has been instrumental in the successful care, training and development of our 18 month old Miniature Australian Labradoodle, Yo-Yo. Yo-Yo started daily day care and training with Ruffgers when she was 8 months old and just celebrated her one year anniversary as a regular student at Ruffgers. After watching her participation over the past year, Yo-Yo quickly became a member of the Ruffgers Family. Words can't express enough just how much she is loved and extraordinarily SOCIALIZED as a result of attending Ruffgers. Yo-Yo has made forever friends at Ruffgers, of both the canine and human varieties! Without hesitation, we board Yo-Yo as needed and take advantage of the individual training opportunities in agility and good manners. If Yo-Yo is acting off, or a bit under the weather, the staff at Ruffgers is quick to call and alert us. They are responsive, flexible and the epitomize the highest standards in dog care and training. I am usually not an enthusiastic participant in surveys, but felt compelled to share these thoughts due to my family's overwhelming sense of gratitude. Ruffgers Dog University is an amazing place for my furry family member and yours! My boy has such a great time with his canine friends and, my oh my, does he ever love his agility training. Everyone on staff is so professional and they all totally love their jobs and all the furry clients! You can tell from the moment you meet them. The facility is just grand, and I do mean “grand”. Whether it be day care, training, or boarding you could not find a more perfect place than Ruffgers Dog University in Naples, FL.

Savannah thoroughly enjoyed her stay at Ruffgers. I was her first overnight stay away from home and we were a bit apprehensive. There was no need for worry. They did a great job.

Much like other reviewers have stated, they refuse to show you their facilities in person, don't have live webcams of any of the facilities, and don't make a point of personalizing the experience for you or your dog (via periodic updates or a puppy report card or anything). That all was enough to turn me off after the first visit but I decided to give it a second try because Bruce seemed to do fine on day one. However, picking him up from his second half day he was distraught, shaking and whining the entire way home. When we got home I noticed he had dried blood all over his snout and remained in distress. He then had the worst 9 hours of diarrhea in his life and 2 visits to the hospital. After calling Ruffgers seeking any explanation as to what might have happened to him and what he could have eaten I was told "there's some mulch he might have eaten or maybe another dog's feces but we don't monitor them that closely, there's a lot of dogs". It goes without saying, Bruce will never be returning.

Updating my experience at Ruffgers. They continue to take good care of my Bear who is now 6-1/2. He loves his visits and the staff is always so responsive to his needs. Socializing is important and Bear loves People , Ruffgers and Puppies. Oh, I never mentioned how clean the facility is, never any smells here! My Bear, English Black Lab, is very important to me so when my boarding kennel closed I was panicked he had been there since 7 months old, he is 4 years now. I immediately checked to find another to match but interviewing the first few I thought I would never find another. Ruffgers is everything you want when trusting your Bear to a stranger. The staff there is hands on; they love dogs and have a total understanding of them. A very important factor is that they are clean, no smells! This is a business, not someone's hobby! Thank you Ruffgers!

Love this place. They always take such great care of my Rottweiler.

My English Cream Retriever loves it.

The staff was dishonest. The owner didn’t care about anything but getting a good review. The dogs are left alone with out supervision. This is dangerous. In fact the new dogs were left in a closed room. They were all clamoring to get out. Scared. I would not take my dog there.

They do a great job. Ginger loves it here!

Super nice, trains dogs well, and the dogs are so excited to come there and play!!

Have done both a training class and daycare here with my dog. Both experiences have been great and my dog loves going to Ruffgers.

Our dog, BOO loves the care she recieves at "school". We love that now matter what employee is at the front desk, she wags her tail as soon as she walks through the door.

When our pup Max hears the word Ruffgers he gets so excited! We’ve been bringing Max here since he was 5 months old. He did the puppy class, obedience class, day care 2/3 days a week with training, and now he’s trying agility which he loves. Max is a barker when he gets excited and Gigi has such patience with him. Gigi has taught me some great techniques for at home training, which has been super helpful. Ruffgers is a great place for Max- it’s his happy place for sure!

We have been bringing our dog Winston to Ruffgers since he was a puppy. He does the enrichment program/daycare twice A week and he has learned so much! He loves the agility! Aschley, Gigi and the rest of the ruffgers staff are extremely knowledgeable and experienced and treat Winston as if he were their own. Ruffgers is the best!

I took my dog there about three years ago for a trial. I walk in and I wasn’t even welcome or given any type of tour like other dog care places the lady just takes my dog and tells me to go on my way I’m about to walk out when I hear my dog make the most horrendous yell that till this day I have never heard again. The lady just shoved her in a room with dogs that didn’t even know her so they attacked her I run back and tell the lady to give me my dog I take my dog and I walk out I would never recommend this place they don’t have adults in the rooms with the dogs and they don’t do a gentle introduction like they should

Our puppy attends the day care and does some enrichment training as well and she seems to really like it! The staff here is kind and very knowledgeable! I would highly recommend this place!

My Puggles, Bailey and Ducky have so much fun training at Ruffgers. They love Gigi, Courtney and Ashley. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. They also have a healthy selection of food and treats.

I have been bringing my puppy Stormy here for Reactivity training with Gigi and now daycare! She has improved so much and the staff is so patient, kind and hard working. I have used a few other trainers and no other place has felt this comfortable or actually worked for my dog. They treat you and your pup like family. I look forward to bringing Stormy here for years to come.
