Safe Animal Shelter Middleburg, Florida

I hate this place now this place broke piece of me today . I was accused of kicking a cage I'm heart is breaking so bad right now. Only peace of mind I had left to myself to escape my reality in life and be around loving animal's. I'm going to talk and find a lawyer for Discrimination and mental illness. Any who who is a mom with understand sometimes u get random moves that arent real or some people have pain and other like me get lil Spasms and very bad back pain . And me having one I got accused of something so traumatizing that now I a can do right now is cry so bad this hurts so much I love animals

Horrible place would not recommend plenty of other better animal shelters. Super rude and disrespectful accused of some stuff that didn't happen so I told them I'd give them a bad review and here it is garbage place I feel bad for the animals there what a shame.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They really care about the animals in their care. Adapt a loving pet. If you can't adopt donate. Highly recommend this location.

This place is not a good place to adopt. The day I adopted the lady said to come back after 2 months to get my cat spayed. I called about 3 times to see if I can schedule an appointment but there was no answer. I showed up with my cat since they weren’t answering, and they said “she’s way past due for her surgery date.” No one’s has called me or even answered the phone. Definitely not a good experience.

3 stars only because we got a GEM from them (they had nothing to do with this). Our dog is doing very well, and she has adapted to our home very easily. That being said, their "medical" staff leaves a lot to be desired, and they could use a little sharpening up on customer service as well. The facility is "rough", but they are a no-kill facility so I will not trash it too much. I like what they do, I like the mission - they could be KINDER, more compassionate and empathetic. I agree with the poster who stated that you want to double-check your pet's health immediately with a vet. And do not take their "advice" on how much to feed your pet as gospel either. Do your due diligence. I would have liked to have gotten my new "best friend" from a place that provided a better "customer feel", but if this is what I had to tolerate to get her: I'm all in.

The volunteers here are so loving and caring to all the animals here. Would definitely come here to adopt rescues. So many need forever homes.

Safe Animal Shelter has sweet souls waiting for a home.

They helped me bring home two sweet girls that keep me on my toes. They answered all my questions and the adoption process was fairly quick and easy. Love having Rosalie and Giovanna as part of our family.

Very sa,but happy experience. A lot of dogs and cats without a home. Very dog had heart worms.

I volunteered at the safe animal shelter for a little while and the staff is extremely friendly and takes a lot of pride in caring for their fur babies. They will go above and beyond the call of duty to help any way they can, believe me I know firsthand what they did for my daughter. Sherry runs a tight ship at the shelter in Clay county, very professional, shelter is always very clean. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you all for caring so much and for all you do, your service is much appreciated

I took two puppies I found in a ditch to them and they were amazing! Sweet, caring people who love animals and the place is awesome!

It's a nice shelter. You can tell they care for their boarders. Very friendly staff. Lots of large dogs the day we went.

We've gotten several cats from SAFE animal shelter. The staff is super knowledgeable about the temperament of every animal, they're just really good with them.

I've adopted 2 babies from here . Sweet cat and sweet kitten.

I love this place. Everyone is so sweet. The love those babies so much and take such good care of them. They do everything they can to do what they can for them. It literally breaks their heart when things can't be done. I have adopted from them a couple times before and have always had a great experience! Highly recommend. Please help them as much as you can and adopt!!!!!

My experience with safe animal shelter has been amazing. I have adopted before, and currently fostering a kitten from them. To say the staff is absolutely stellar, is an understatement. Tiffany and Jessica are two of the most dedicated professionals I have ever met. They always make the time to make sure the questions and concerns I have are addressed promptly. It shows that they truly care about what's most important, which is the health and safety of the animals. 10/10 the best shelter in North East Florida.

Blu Bird, having to use a fictitious name on your review gives it no credibility. The shelter has a dedicated, caring and committed staff. They work seven days a week to care for the animals to make them feel comfortable and loved. Your review is a disservice to our community and speaks loudly to the kind of person you are…not there for the animals, but for yourself.

Best shelter I’ve ever been to and I gave these babies a forever home

This is the cleanest shelter I have ever been too. They take great care of the animals. The staff same to know each one like they are their own. I will only go here from now on.

Highly disappointed in the direction Safe is going in. I used to volunteer and donate and foster but I'll be doing all elsewhere. The new manager "Kelly" has been rude to her workers and I've noticed quite a few of my favorite employees that work with both the dogs and the cats gone. Safe is not an animal control facility and doesn't need to be run like one. Lately it seems like the rescue work doesn't matter as much to a supposed rescue shelter. Extremely disappointing. I will not longer be donating my money nor my time and it's honestly a shame to see what Safe is turning into. I have to use a separate account in fear of being harassed - don't even feel safe to leave a review under my own name!

Friendly and helpful staff. The animals are all very well cared for. And the staff know each animal fairly well. We adopted 2 cats here ????

I've been to many shelters through Clay and Duval but This shelter is where I always end up going back to. The staff there is great! Our Family was finally able to find a dog and bring it home! I want to personally thank Ms. Tiffany for All the Help and Going Above &Beyond but as well to the other staff members too! We love our new family member!!
