Nail cutting for my dog was supposed to be a walk-in service. Time is money. If I knew it was going to take an hour I'd rather go to petco. WHT a wast of time. Not only that because of her size price goes up.

I found a week old kitten and he is very sick. Animal services didn't want to take him because they said it's considered a free roaming animal. So I should just leave it outside. Didn't want to do that so I took him to this vet and they helped me with what I needed to keep him alive and they told me they will try to call a few places to see if they can find a place to take him and let me know. They did more than animal services.westwood is compassionate caring and great at there job I recommend it here

I left my dog Oliver to go on vacation for a few days. When I returned my dog was in good health, didn't lose a pound or gain a pound, happy like always unlike other places.

It was my first experience with my pet Drako . All staff is excellent at this place and professional. Me and my puppy were there last Saturday for the first exam and all they were very nice and responsible. They answered all my questions and worries about my pet . I am very satisfied with the attention that we received and we will comeback soon for the vaccines .Drako loves them !!!!!!!!

Okay, so this is the first negative review I have ever left, but it's important that I share my real experience with those looking for a review. First thing I would like to mention is that the reviews on Yelp are much more accurate than the ones posted here when describing this vet's reviews. This vet is not the one I would ever trust with my dog. My two experiences while bringing my dog here have be terrible. The quality and knowledge of Dr. Eduardo Garcia are flat out embarrassing for a licensed professional. On both visits the doctor made a mistake, which luckily I picked up on. Aside from that, there will be things on your invoice in which your dog doesn't need and the vet never mentioned to you, which will higher the price of your visit substantially (side: they will try and sell you a yearly subscription before you ever walk in to see the doctor). Please do your research and good luck.

This clinic is amazing! Not the clinic itself but majority of the staff. My first time there I brought in my very sick cat, her diagnosis was no where near good but Dr. Garcia assured me he would do everything he can to help. So far, she’s been doing a lot better and with treatment we’re hoping for a full recovery. The vet technician Shania was phenomenal. 10/10 experience. Dr. Garcia genuinely cares for his animal patients and does so in a generous and informative way. I will be back & would highly recommend!

I took my beloved dog for a second opinion after my dog was rushed to a hospital and was not properly diagnosed. The previous hospital made it seem that my dog wasn’t going to get better because they determined he was in the final stages of chronic kidney disease (he wasn’t). I brought him to Dr. Garcia and he started treating him properly and told me he believed it was acute from the dehydration/infection he had. Mind you, the previous hospital didn’t even mention nor did they focus on his infection. Dr. Garcia made no promises because my dog was critical but he did everything he could the best way he could. Unfortunately, he is not a 24 hour clinic, but he told me that my dog was a fighter and truly believed he could get better but he needed to have 24 hour supportive care. Therefore, he referred me to a different animal hospital and my dog is on the road to recovery. Dr. Garcia never gave up on my dog and I am truly grateful for everything he did. Always remember you are your pets advocate. Most vets don’t care but Dr. Garcia does and he will do whatever he can and if it’s out of his hands he will then refer you to a good hospital.

I am very grateful for the care my dog ​​received at this clinic. She arrived in very bad shape due to an intrauterine infection. Fortunately, she was able to undergo emergency surgery. Dr Garcia saved her life! Now she is the same as before! Many thanks to the Westwood team!

I have been coming to this vet for years and just found out this is under a new doctor and management. We pay for an annual insurance plan with them for our dogs. Recently my dog needed her food refilled I order through Chewy as it’s convenient to have her food delivered to my doorstep. The vet always emailed me her prescription so I can upload to the chewy website. When I called the vet they advised because I don’t buy the food from Them they have to charge for the prescription. I just paid a whopping $380 last week to have an annual checkup for my dog with shots. Needless to say the amount of things keep adding up under this new management and I will be taking our pups else where.

They used to be good a couple of years ago. Now they don’t. When I called they left me on the phone for a long time. When my pet arrived for grooming, the groomer started yelling in Spanish that he wouldn’t get any more dogs (so unprofessional) They split the shots in two loads to charge you twice Insurance is a joke There is no parking Since I have to give at least 1 STAR, Id give it to Paco. He is at least, a person who likes dogs.

Everyone was very knowledgeable. The vet was great and the patients were very happy dogs.

I was there with my little chihuahua for a final day. Unfortunately they did it but no body approach to me to say sorry for your loos We r here to help you in case if need something else. Now I'm calling them to make an appointment for my second one and the guy who answered is very rude but he never give me the appointment. Without Paco the clinic is not not good.

Anybody knows where is Dr Paco ? There are a lot of bad reviews about the new ver and I don’t trust anybody else to attend my dog and I was informed that he is no longer in Westwood ... please help

Amazing treatment from staff and doctors...

So today I took my stray cat to the this vet to get fixed thinking she was a female. They call me after surgery to tell me that he had already been fixed. It took them to open the cat up to be able to detect that. I can only imagine no exam was done prior to cutting him open. Not an apology. They took my money with no problem. BEWARE Poor cat now has to suffer for no apparent reason. BEWARE - this doesn’t happen to a solid responsibly professional. No accountability in their part. Never again will I go there. Very disappointed with how it all went down.

I went today because my dog had a skin allergy same as one she had 2 years ago. Without even examining her properly the new vet came out with an $824 estimate for the first time in 7 years I felt unwelcomed when I asked where Dr. Paco was I was told he was no longer there. If anyone knows where he is working please inform me. He loves the animals and the owners. Took her somewhere else they gave her a shot and a shampoo $56 what a difference from $824.

If I had the option to give them 10 stars... I would. I have been taking my dog for the past 7 years and they have been absolutely fantastic!! My dog loves going there because of all the love they give him. I trust them 1000%, they are professional and honest. I would never go anywhere else but here. They are very responsive, reliable and I feel like they are an extension of my family because they take good care of my fur baby. Paco is simply the best!

The Doctor's are great and always have the best interest of my dog. The staff is also very caring and make sure my pet is doing well after his visit. Oh there prices are also very reasonable.

I've always loved this place but this time the doctor and assistants that usually work with us were not there. Not sure if changes in ownership have taken place. Was not comfortable with the veterinarian's attitude and extremely critical ways. Very pushy and insistent with treatments. I was very disappointed. Am looking for a more considerate practice, especially in these difficult times.

Out of all the veterinary clinics I have gone to with my 3 dogs over the last 15 years, West Wood has been the best and most reliable clinic! I wouldn’t trust another other vet than Paco with my pets. Without a doubt, I recommend west wood to anyone trying to find a veterinary clinic for their fur babies!
