Very rude unprofessional staff!!! Took my dog for a small rash and because it had vomited a couple of times, they suggested we do over 500usd in tests on the dog. When I tried inquiring a bit more detail on what the 500usd worth of tests where, they got really defensive and rude. I ended up declining to make all the tests (as I didn't know if it was serious enough to spend 500usd on tests), but they had already put two injections on my dog. When I tried getting an itemized bill with detail description of what the injections where, they didn't want to give that to me, and claim they only give that information to the insurance company. Now I am scrambling between the insurance who requires ME to submit itemized bill, and they, who simply don't want to provide an itemized bill on detail of the medicine that was put on my dog. Other problems: did the heartworm test and requested for the heartworm prescription. They didn't want to give me a prescription unless I bought the medicine from them. I ended up buying the medicine from them, but was impossible to get the prescription so I could by it on my own next round. I will never take my dog again and recommend you not to!!! Specially if you have insurance. They will not help you get details on the diagnosis or the treatment, and you will be on back and forth between them and the insurance.

I took my puppy here and each time was attended by a different doctor. they really try to sell you heart worm medicine to give to your dog for the rest of their lives and try to belittle you when you kindly decline. none of my dogs Ive had for years have ever taken that. they are rude over the phone and tell you to call back during lunch because they’re too busy to schedule an appointment. according to the doctor my dog having a cough is normal and should last for about a month or two. that is incorrect. I over heard the vet talking to other patients and it really seems like she does not have a good bedside manner. this vet office is old, outdated and does not seem hygienic imo. I will not be returning here and would not recommend it.

Dr Mendez and Dr Diaz are amazing with great knowledge. Been going for years and extremely happy with staff and both Doctors

Do not take your dog here!!! Poor quality of service!! They do not like to answer your questions. They rush you in and out as fast as possible and they messed my dog up! YES I Definitely was a customer! Nice try though!

Dr Diaz and staff are amazing.

Took my cat there for deworming, my previous vet in Texas would be able to strap her down as she can be difficult but the vet techs here held her so hard they wounded her, she now has a hole in her side from where nails went into her skin. I had to shave her myself to help the wound as it had created a horrible knot in her fur that was painful.

Briarwood is my only vet I would take my dog to very caring and professional

It is a true testament when the staff of employees has also been there for over 10 years they know you and your animals every time you walk in the door. Briarwood Animal Hospital is fantastic! Everyone there is kind and compassionate. I have a geriatric dachshund who's main vet is in Broward (where we previously lived). I have been taking him there for his toenail clippings as he has dark nails and I prefer a vet to trim them. I recently had an emergency with him on a Friday and they were able to see him. Dr. Mendez was wonderful!They also called the following day to be sure he was doing better.I highly recommend Briarwood Animal Hospital.

The veterinarians and staff at Briarwood Animal Hospital are beyond anything you could wish for when it comes to giving your animal top notch veterinarian care. The years of knowledge, expertise and experience they hold is second to none. My family and I have had all of our animals cared for here since 1997. Just recently, we thought our dog (truly, our fur baby) possibly ate something that upset her stomach as she was vomiting for over 9 hours. We called as soon as they opened, explained her symptoms and they said to bring her in as soon as possible. It turned out that she needed emergency surgery. Prior to the surgery, immediately following the surgery and for the days after while she was recovering at Briarwood Animal Hospital, the Doctors keep in constant contact with us including Thanksgiving Day, giving us the peace of mind, that they were doing all they could. She’s home now and recovering well and they still continue to follow-up with us on a daily basis. They saved her life with their quick thinking, correct diagnoses and precision point surgery and we will forever be grateful and indebted to them all.

Briarwood Animal Hospital is absolutely wonderful. From vet visits to boarding they accommodate well and treat each patient like it’s their only one. I, along with my family, have brought our animals here for over twenty years.

We had to put our 13 year old dog down. Dr. Gerardo J. Diaz couldn't have been any colder. I understand this is his job and doctors do this regularly. However, a good doctor shows some compassion torwards their patients. He lacked all of that. We came in with our dog after the clinic told us to come in at a certain time and we wouldn't wait. We waited an hour and 20 minutes to put our beloved dog down. He gave her a sedative and in no less than 3 seconds later injected her with the final shot, forcefully grabbing her back legs and making her fall to the table. He didn't lay her down. I've put a dog down before and this was very experienced was different. I can not get over the image of her last few seconds of life. I'm very saddened of this memory I have of her and regret taking her to this clinic. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Gerardo J. Diaz to anyone with pets. The clinic it's self is ok. The rest of the staff is wonderful. When the moment is right and I've decided it's time to add a new furry friend to the family, I will make sure to stay away from Dr. Gerardo J. Diaz.
