We moved to Marco Nov 2021 - we have two geriatric dogs who require a lot of care - monthly. This group is amazing! We couldnt be happier with the treatment given to our babies and the love that is shown. Professional, kind and they take their time with you - I have never felt rushed. I have a favorite doctor, but everyone that has provided care is 100% awesome!

Within the last 2 1/2 days my senior cat started to show signs of having problems eating. We had just moved to Marco and I didn’t have a chance to set up a new vet. Even though I was a new client they were able to give me an appointment in a few days. I started to call around looking for an emergency vet to take her to and was having a hard time finding one. I called them back to see if they could recommend one. They did but also mentioned that they could see her the next morning. ( they might have had a cancellation or something but I was happy) Dr Brent Garrison and the whole staff where absolutely the best! They all showed nothing but compassion and love and sympathy. I unfortunately learned my baby had a large fast growing tumor under her tongue and I ended up having her put to sleep. I highly recommend this place! When I’m ready for my new baby I will be taking it here.

I highly recommend Dr. Garrison at Marco Veterinary Hospital. Once our house was complete I needed to find a good vet for our ailing cat, Chloe. Chloe has seen 3 different vets in the last 3 years. Dr. Garrison is the only veterinarian to come up with a different approach and willing to take the time to find different treatments to stabilize her. Under Dr. Garrison’s care, we see the most improvement and stabilization. I speak to Dr. Garrison every month and he remembers each conversation from the previous month. He knows exactly what we have tried that month, what worked and what needs to change. I’m thankful for my experience here! I will not go anywhere else.

I waited all day for the report for sent my pug dog and he sick. It’s 4:55pm and no paper’s. It’s Not the Vets as they were watching for them. They took specific orders as my pug was urinating all the over The vets had he was catheter in place. I don’t A CATHETER and I was down on my knees removed until my My Vets call me. Now it is after 5:00. I will get a call tomorrow.

My family has been bringing our pets here for over 30 years. Dr. G and his staff are the best around. They are compassionate and thorough. I won’t bring my animals anywhere else!

Simply the Best I have been using the Marco Veterinary Hospital for 7 years, for both of my Australian Labradoodles. They each had serious, preexisting medical conditions when we moved down to FL. When I first arrived, I interviewed Dr Brent Garrison. I liked him and decided to try his practice. In short order, I met the three other doctors who worked for him – Dr Carrie Portu, Dr Megan Stewart and Dr Beth Steward (now retired). All of them proved to be kind, compassionate, well-schooled vets. There is a mix of experience in the practice, ranging from 45 years to about 15 years bringing old and new thinking together. The doctors work cooperatively, and I have had the benefit of many multi-doctor analyses. Before I moved down, my male dog was diagnosed with a heart tumor at age 7 and was told “maybe 2-14 months.” After 5 years of MVH care, he finally ran out of time. My female dog (the male’s sister) had Addison’s, a thyroid problem, and severe arthritis, but, again, with the fine care of MVH, lived until 16. I can’t imagine the outcome if I hadn’t had access to the wonderful doctors and staff over the last 7 years. They are people who care about the animals, and care about the owners. I couldn’t ask for more. The coronavirus pandemic has made veterinary care more difficult - the pet owner cannot be in the exam room. But thru telephone calls before and during the exam, and discussion with the staff after the exam, I never felt uninformed. And when real big problems arose, as is often the case with an aging animal, the doctors and I met on the front porch, with appropriate distancing. These face-to-face meetings allowed a maximum information exchange and produced the best courses of action, while protecting everyone from the coronavirus. Using these methods, I feel our dog received the best possible care. It has been a tough year, but I know the doctors and staff at MVH are there for my family. Thank you, Dr Garrison and thank you Marco Veterinary Hospital, for making my dogs’ lives comfortable, happy, and long. You are the best.

Been going here since the day after I brought Jazzy home. While I think its expensive, especially getting her spayed. I really like Dr Megan. Very friendly and personable.

I had previously wrote a negative review, but would like to retract that review.. Dr Garrison displayed a quick response by calling me directly and handling the situation. This proves to me Dr Garrison really cares. I been taking my pets to Marco island Vet since 2013 and will continue as i know first handed that my pets are in good hands with Dr Garrison. Thank you for taking the time to call me.

Dr. Garrison (and all of the doctors and excellent staff) have seen us through 24 years and 2 dogs from puppy to old age. I cannot imagine a better place or people to work with.

We have been clients since 2005. Doctors Garrison, Stewart & Portu are the most caring and knowledgeable veterinarians who go above and beyond for you and your pets. In the past two of our Yorkies were diagnosed with cancer and given a grim life expectancy from a specialized vet. Thanks to Dr. Garrison’s treatment they both lived much longer than expected. I highly recommend Marco Veterinary Hospital!

Great service and nice to deal with. Horses, dogs, cats they are very knowledgeable.

Terrible customer service. They missed a few vaccines my dog was due to receive at her annual visit and then made me pay for a full vet exam again to come back and get the shots. The doctor told me I should remind them when my dog needs vaccines. I thought that's what they are trained to do. Will never be back.

Marco Vet Hospital needs to get their act together. The lady answering the phone most of the time was incredibly rude and unhelpful. --- We took our Golden Retriever in for a UTI. I filled out all the New Patient Paperwork and Emailed it over the night before. Upon arrival I was told they did not receive it. So I resent it. The next person I spoke with said, "Oh i see the files that you send over last night." Which makes me wonder if the 1st person even looked for it... On countless occasions following up with them via phone they put me on hold.... and then proceeded to hang up on me. Got to love that... Then call back and get put on hold again. Once we dropped off our pup and they determined that our golden had a UTI they told us to come back and pick her up. At this time I asked for them to send me over a copy of the invoice via Email so I could review before giving them my card # over the phone (due to COVID-19 social distancing.) Needless to say I never received an email. Once we arrived I called them to tell them that we were here to pick up our dog and they put me on hold. Then someone called me from the other line asking me questions. Did they not know that the person next to them just put me on hold... It just seems like the Left hand does not know what the Right is doing at this office. The icing on the cake for this already epic customer service experience was being handed a copy of the invoice for just shy of $350. This is a bit excessive in my opinion for a simple course of meds and visit for a UTI. If this course of meds does not clear up our pups infection I'll definitely be looking for another vet down here. Or I'll be recording my next experience just so i can collect training material for my clients on how to improve your customer's experience.

We've been using Marco Veterinary Hospital for over 30 years and sincerely appreciate how caring they have been whether it's been routine exams, small illnesses or serious emergencies. They have always been there for us and we feel fortunate to have them so close to our home.

I would like to give a thumbs up to the Marco Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Garrison. On December 31 my 16 year old dog became very ill. I was fearful that I was going to lose her. I called the Marco Veterinary Hospital and although they were extremely busy on the 31st they said if I could bring her in right away they would do their best to work her in as an emergency. They did just that and after blood tests and shots and medicine my little dog came around and four days later she is doing just great. I tend to be emotional about my pets and the staff was very positive and supportive. Dr. Garrison came out and told me everything he had done and went over all the blood tests and the care she would need. Our pets are part of our families and I could not be happier about the care my dog received and the professionalism and compassion of the staff.

They are ALL Super pros. They love Kodi and are just awesome?

We brought our aging (and cranky) Chocolate lab here today with hot spots due to allergies. Coming from Michigan she never had this problem before. We were fortunate to get her in to see Dr. Stewart while vacationing on the island and she received great care. 1/2 hour later we were out the door with the medication she needed and she is on the mend. So nice to find a place like this while traveling!! Thanks to the entire friendly staff.

I had a great first visit with my Basset Hound pup and Dr. Stewart. She was attentive, compassionate, knowledgeable and we mapped out a great strategy for my dog going forward. Highly recommended!

We are from out of town on vacation when we noticed our puppy was keeping one of his eyes shut. They took me at 8 in the morning with no appointment and ran a stain test. Luckily there were no scratches and they gave us some ointment to put in his eye. A few days later he is back to normal! Total cost $118. Thanks for your help and peace of mind!!!
