This doctor prescribed medicine for my 15 yr old cat that has a side effect of causing kidney damage when he was notofied she had kidnet disease. After returning face go face he tried to grab the medicine from me after admitting his imcompetance. Avoid at all costs.

My wife and I took our cat to check on a loss of fur issue that hasn't gone away. The reception and nurse was top notch! Very caring and friendly staff that made us feel at home. However, when the doctor came in the room our opinion quickly changed. He seemed in a hurry and didn't treat our cat in a gentle fashion. Until then, okay. I'm sure he sees tons of animals on a regular basis. Then he did not have the patience to explain to us what we needed to know. He prescribed half a dozen different meds. And when I politely asked about the antibiotics he became very annoyed to have to explain his opinion and was very rude. After I told him "if you don't have the time right now we can come back another time". He calmed down and gave us the info we needed. He finally agreed that we should start with the anti-fungal meds and hold off the antibiotics and not just "throw everything at it and see what sticks". In the end we got what we needed but we shouldn't have to go through such a tense and awkward moment because we needed more than 5minutes of his time. And being rude to paying customers by saying "you are confusing yourself" is just unacceptable. All we wanted was to understand the reason for the antibiotics and the potential cause of the hair loss. I don't think that is too much to ask.

Thank you so much for being compassionate and doing as we requested when we had to put our dog Juno down they went up above and beyond their duty - Juno was never comfortable in the vets office so I asked the vet to please put Juno to sleep in the back of my Jeep because he loves his rides and he would be more comfortable there and I got to lay with him the whole time so he would be at ease during the whole process I give them an A+ and I will continue to bring my others dogs to them.

They took my animal at the end of business hours in an emergency where he was attacked. They were very diligent in the care of my pet and also relayed information to us. Dr. Abed was able to also recommend us to a reconstruction surgeon whom performed a great reconstructive surgery on my dog.

The vets at acreage animal hospital treated my dog with the upmost quality and professionalism. Dr. Abed was attentive and answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns with patience and the the kind of compassion that lets me know he truly loves what he does. Thank you guys so much!!

I always knew that they were more expensive than vets in surrounding areas, but I was willing to pay that price to have a vet close to home. However, I will never visit that “vet” again and urge other residents to look elsewhere for proper care for their animals. I took my dog here 5+ months ago because he had a small mass the size of a pea on his groin area. He had other skin issues at this time, and Dr. Abed attributed the mass to those skin issues. Over the next several months, he prescribed medications, creams, sprays, and a bunch of other garbage that just made it worse. A few weeks ago, Dr. Abed said the only course of action left was to see a dog dermatologist. Off we went to the recommended dermatologist, who literally spent under four minutes with our dog; he looked at the mass, said it looked like cancer, and said to have the general vet remove it. WHAT? Another $200 just for this specialist to tell us that the general vet could and should have removed it months ago? By this point, it had grown to the size of a grape. I called Dr. Abed's office very frustrated and upset about all of this, and they basically had nothing to say. Obviously, I went to a different vet (something I should have done months ago) who was able to quickly schedule a surgery to remove the mass. The vet at Mid County had it biopsied, and said that the chances of it spreading elsewhere depends on how long it was able to grow for. We are now looking into options as to where to go from here. At best, Dr. Abed was negligent in my dog’s care and as a result may have contributed to the spread of his cancer. At worst, this “vet” is maliciously negligent and is simply only in this business to rack up people’s bills and take advantage of their trust in him to take care of their animals. My dog is my best friend and I just wanted to warn other local residents of this situation. If you have had a different experience here, that’s great, but be cautious when dealing with this crook.

Thank you so much for resolving an issue for Hermione that another vet wasted 3 months trying to fix. One visit to this doctor and my fur baby is finally back to her healthy self!

Every time we have used this vet the experience was horrible. He has only made the problems worse. The last time allowing cancer to grow on my dog, the time before that he charged hundreds to prescribe medicine that made him vomit blood, then charged hundreds to prescribe medicine to stop him from vomiting the blood which was caused by his previous prescription. I truly believe this vet is only trying to sell medications and prescription food. If you care about your animals, take them elsewhere.

I knew my first vet visit with my puppies was going to be a challenge. They haven't had a chance to socialize much, they are large and one has some serious anxiety to people she doesn't know. Everyone was so friendly to both puppies and helped make the process so much easier than I thought it would be, for both me and the dogs. Very clean and professional, personalized care and I will absolutely be coming back to Dr. Abed for my dogs' care. He even had a nice conversation with my young son. We felt welcome and not rushed and I look forward to coming back for future visits as they grow.

Extremely happy with Acreage Animal Clinic. Very knowledgeable, friendly and laid back. I've had many recommendations in the past, some good, some not so good. I'm glad to find a vet I can trust. Prices are reasonable as well.
