We are from out of town and needed our dog to have the gift of euthanasia. The lovely people at this facility fit us in and made us feel welcome and unrushed. We felt our dog Goku received an honorable and painless death. The staff were wonderful and the doctor was great

They are AMAZING!! My girl was very sick and they jumped in and seen her right away. The entire staff took such good care of her and called to communicate everything that was going on and being done for her. The Dr. took time to personally talk to me at least 3 times. This is where you want to take your fur babies. The entire staff there CARES, and that is hard to find nowadays!! I have found my forever Vet! Molly says thank you for all the love and care while she was with you!!

The technicians employed are friendly, polite and professional. This rating is in regards to Dr Farr only. I took my precious dog of 15 yrs to Land O’Lakes Animal Hospital because she had been coughing for about 24 hours and I knew that meant heart problems. I had researched it enough to know that it was a precursor to my dog dying, however, many canine live a year, two or more (without treatment), depending on the dog. Although she walked in on her own accord, after Dr Farr had “treated” her (I was NOT ALLOWED in the room while he took care of her which I thought strange because I had always been with her during treatment in the past 15 years) she was unable to walk out and I had to carry her out with Dr Farr’s advice to call him if she got worse. I had just pulled onto Hwy 41 (a few hundred feet from Farr’s office) when she started panting and acting like she couldn’t get a breath. I pulled over and called Dr Farr immediately, only to have him tell me to take her to the animal Emergency Room located a few miles away to obtain the oxygen she needed to continue to breath. I inquired about the Land O’Lakes Animal Hospital having oxygen and Dr Farr’s response was heartless. He told me his office was closing in half an hour and his office wouldn’t stay after 5:00 to administer oxygen. I asked if she could stay hooked up until 5:00 while I called the ER Hospital to let them know we would be there a little after 5:00. After charging almost $500 for giving me my sweet dog to me on the verge of death (within the hour) he charged me again (different receipt) for the few minutes she was on Farr’s oxygen. Thank goodness the ER Hospital was a lot more understanding! I was very emotional and personnel explained that an Emergency technician would be waiting for my car to pull up to the emergency entrance and would take my dog as soon as they saw me. How very sad that those last few minutes couldn’t have been spent holding my precious partner in life (for 15 years) assuring her there was nothing to fear! Instead, I was racing around town, trying my hardest to get any time at all with my little girl. IT DIDN’T HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS! When I reached the ER entrance, the employee was there to take her only to inform me that she was already gone. LAST THOUGHTS AND MY OPINION: This doctor (Farr) needs elementary training on how to express empathy for others (if that is something that can even be taught) because he is clueless! He is, definitely, in my opinion, completely heartless. I don’t think he should be a practicing veterinarian because he has lost his heart for animals (his patients) and for the owners of those animals who consider them “family members.” I hope all his customers see this and realize that as long as everything is going smooth, Farr is fine but under pressure, he passes the buck—which is a failure in my book - - (twenty years of honorable military service to my country has shown me plenty of men and women at their best under pressure). Farr is a failure. He failed my sweet innocent baby girl and he failed me...a repeat customer of over 25 years!

Would give 3.5 if I could. The staff are friendly, easy to get an appointment and prices are comparable to other vets. My dog has a food allergy to chicken. We were suggested a different prescription food for him. His skin allergies were getting worse and even allergy shots were not working. We noticed the third ingredient in the food they prescribed was chicken liver. We found a different food for skin allergies through a friend whose dog has similar issues and he is so much better now.

I went there for my first time with one of my cats that has lymphoma. The staff and Dr Farr were outstanding and extremely caring. They called a few days later to check on my boy and said to let them know if we need anything, not to hesitate to contact them. I am so happy to have found a vet close by that is genuine...

We take both our cat and dog here. Great and I mean great, caring people there. Haven't had any issues with anyone. Great recommendations on money saving tips. Not a "sales" pitch every time you go. Take great care of our animals on our time. Very flexible with scheduling and weekends.

Unfortunately, the reason for our visit this time was because we lost my long time companion of 20 years. However, the doctor and staff at Land O'Lakes Animal Hospital provided us with the most perfect experience and showed so much respect for our little one as he took his last few breaths. Could not have done it without the compassion of them all.

Can't trust anything these this company does....Today we took in our cat because she was limping and they said that she was bit by our other cat most likely, and they gave her an antibiotic. When we got the bill, it was $230 for three shots and an examination. Before we paid, we asked about all of the shots and wondered why it was so expensive. They then literally said "Well, one of the shots wasn't really necessary, so we took it off the bill for you." :( And they only charged us $150. Soooo weird.

This placed is overpriced and my dog had all kinds of diseases they failed to diagnose. And they sent him home with no heart gaurd. This is the worst care you could give

Dr Mahlman gave my new 2 lb puppy anti-worming medication without telling me she was going to do it or asking my consent. I had to ask her "what did you just shoot into my puppy's mouth?" There was no history of worms but I understand preventative measures if properly explained. I find this practice questionable, and more of a cash grab if you're just trying to sneak it by me. Front desk and phone staff were very nice. I had to wait 30 minutes longer than my scheduled visit because of an emergency vet visit with another animal, I understand that and was glad they explained the reasoning. I was charged $20 for this extra medication without my approval. Who knows what else they'll do without my consent?

They add unnecessary charges & procedures. Their prices are much higher than other vets & their staff is inexperienced & unaccommodating.
