Our bearded dragon is contributing to this review.. . He says the food options for live buggos is delicious and fresh... the supplies like decor and lights is top notch and he likes that they have a variety of shelf stable foods for his hurricane supply bucket. As the human owners we can also say, the staff and in house pups are friendly and Informative. We are planning on purchasing our first snake here and are excited for when that time come. If you need live or frozen foods for your scaly babies please head to family reptiles, they are the best!

We drove almost an hour to get there to let our son pick out his first ball python and even though the snake room was already closed they understood how far we had come and had an excited kid, So they happily took us back to the snake room and was super nice and patient in helping him pick out the perfect one and asking 100 questions. I even had to call today for a few questions as being new snake owners and they were again super nice and helpful definitely 10 out of 10 recommend!!!

I drive from Riverview to Lakeland to get my supplies and bugs. They have much better options than the big box stores and it's usually priced better too. Love seeing their reptiles.

I was able to get both the bedding and food for my rats in the same place so happy that I don’t have to travel to two stores anymore thank you so much for stocking what you stock!

Excellent well stocked store with everything you may need for your Reptile. I picked up supplies for my Sulcata Tortoise at a competitive price. Enjoyed looking at the beautiful reptiles for sale. Super nice folks.

I am a regular customer with u guys since I bought my first snake at repticon with Liz Today (Friday) and a young man by the name of Hyatt or wyatt( please forgive me if I have the spelling wrong:() for so long I have tried to u sweats d the genes in ball pythons(there are SO many) and I came in for 2 hopper rats and Hyatt , something about his manurizims with the snakes while cleaning the cages brought me to that room and he was absolutely great so informative and literally in 1 sentence explained to me what the “het” means in the pythons I swear it was like a lightbulb went off in my head so much time spent online trying to find videos and bam just like that I come into ur store and I learn something new every time so much that I left buying a new adult snake :) I love coming here I travel an hour each way just to come to family reptiles and not to mention ALL there reptiles are beautiful and healthy thank u staff for always welcoming us not only w Hyatt but the other 4 girls that were there I don’t k ow there names but they ARE ALWAYS THERE LOL thanks ladies

It's called family reptile for good ready...always make you feel welcome, comfortable and appreciated. We get our feeder rats here. Have to drive from Plant City, but kids always love to go. The people are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

You can tell that they take care of their animals. Love this place.

Family Reptiles is my favorite pet store in Florida. The staff are all incredibly friendly and will answer any questions you might have regarding enclosure sizes and setups for any animal available at the store. If anyone needs help with picky eaters, just ask the staff for potential solutions. I switched my newest hognose off of live just by letting her settle into her new home. I use hairdryers to dry thawed mice, which also helps keep them free of substrate given that hognoses push against their prey while chewing on them. Again, this store is the best in Florida. Their policies and standards are ideal, especially for deterring irresponsible impulse buyers from causing harm to an animal they are unable to provide for properly. Thank you guys for being so cool and amazing to talk to about reptiles!

Words can not express how thankful I am to have come across Family Reptiles. I am a 6th/7th grade Science teacher and purchased a juvenile crested gecko for my classroom after seeing their selection at Repticon in Lakeland. Since then, I have been to their store every weekend to help supply my new OBSESSION with cresties. The amazing folks at Family Reptiles are so passionate and knowledgeable I will never go ANYWHERE else for my cresties’ needs. Since first purchasing Lando (pictured), I have added 4 more cresties! Thank you, Family Reptiles for igniting a new passion within me and always treating me like FAMILY! If you are questioning whether or not to check them out, PLEASE do yourself a favor and GO!!!

Always friendly, clean, and worth the 2hour drive. We purchase all of our enclosures and accessories here. Previously at expos, strictly from Family Reptiles. While most of our creatures are rescues, we have purchased several here as well.
