Just moved, the ladies at front desk made you feel welcome and wasn't rude at all. They asked questions about my cat before being seen such as Color, age, spayed/neutered,ect mostly the generic questions all in all didn't mind letting them know so the main vet knew what animal was coming back ahead of time. After being put in room, the vet was very knowledgeable about my cat issue it was having. I was worried my cat had a uti but, she eased my thoughts with letting me know more prior knowledge about cats getting uti. I truly appreciate them giving me a small packet of paper to read about what might be going on with her. All the ladies here were so kind hearted you can see they do truly care about all the animals being seen there. One of the employees even helped me carry my belongings to my vehicle. So thankful! Also, the vets were very cautious about knowing my cat is very fearful of new people and didn't stress here out during her 1st visit.

Grateful that they offer boarding. Confident that our dog is well cared for. Friendly staff. Our dog was happy too.

My dog was in distress when I brought her in, after 1 X-ray the problem was found (giant obstructive bladder stone) and no time was wasted in getting her in surgery. They kept her overnight and by morning I got to bring her home. About a week later she is recovered, happy and back to her joyful self. The staff was very helpful and understanding and Dr.Pratt is an amazing surgeon. Couldn’t ask for better care. Thanks to all who helped!

I won't say anything negative but I will say when they tell you something heartbreaking about your dog and send you home with a 1600$ quote; get a second opinion from somewhere else.

I got an appointment quickly, which was important because my puppy needed his vaccinations. All of the staff and Dr. Shaeffer were caring and made my puppy feel safe rather than scared.

My first time at lake city animal hospital was very positive . Everyone was so friendly. The receptionist that handled my phone call (Amber) was very polite, professional and caring on the phone. She took the time to email me information and brochure about dr Pratt and lake city animal hospital. All of the staff were so great. Tried to take my dog in to get seen for unusual behavior and the lady who got back on the phone said to take him to the emergency room , did not even try to see my dog or help .

We were heading to Pensacola to visit our Sailor which is 8 hours from our house. We brought 3 of our furkids with us. We stopped on I-10 at a rest stop for a bathroom break. My husband was getting our Grandpup out of the backseat, she jumped out of his arms and hit the ground. She wouldn't stand up, I checked her leg and immediately knew she broke it. We googled vets and Lake City Animal Hospital came up. I called them explained what happened. Took us about 20 minutes to get their. Upon arrival the staff was amazing , they got Everlee in immediately for a xray. It confirmed what we knew, they took her back right then for surgery. She had a rod put in her leg as well as plates and pins. She had to stay through the weekend so we continued on to see our Sailor. They updated us twice a day as well as sent pictures. Dr. Pratt, Dr. Shaeffer and staff are beyond incredible. We will hold them close to our hearts forever. They assured us she was in great hands. They cared for her like there own. I would absolutely recommend every pet to them.

The number one Animal Hospital, Vets and Staff in Lake City. That is why I have been with them for over 13 years with three dogs. They are always there when I have needed them always given the best for my fur babies. There prices are always reasonable and in comparison with other Vet,s in the area.

I've been putting this review off for months. But I have found out that my Chihuahua could have been saved. This vet is very cold to the care of my dog. He charged me almost $400 to tell me she had diabetes and there was nothing he could do for her to just put her down. Very uncaring. She could of had an insulin shot every 12 hours that would of saved her. So sad that these so called vets anymore just don't seem to care for the animal and just there income. If you go here be cautious because I wasn't and it cost me my dogs life.

My cat, Sherbert, couldnt walk and him being a 12 year old cat, I thought this could be bad. The Doc and staff were great. Sherbert was diagnosed with Feline Diabetes. They changed his food and he has to have insulin shots every 12 hours. 3 days after the first shot Sherbie is walking and even playing with his brother. I want to thank the Doc and whole staff for their compassion and professionalism. Sherbie goes back for a check up 2 weeks from now. He is going to blow the Doc away!

Great, friendly staff, got into the exam room quickly. Perfect, all around. Knowledgeable as well. This will be our Florida vet as we travel the country in our RV with our girl.

started talking hundreds of dollars for care even before vet had seen my dog. total waste of time to bring the dog there. took the dog there for skin disorder but said that they could not wash ore treat the skin disorder without rabies shot but could not give the shot because the dog was weak from the skin disorder. catch 22 will never go there again and will tell everyone i knownot to go there eather

Everyone was knowledgeable and courteous. They were able to get my Bingo in quickly, as he was sick and couldn't wait. Bingo will definitely continue with all his health care needs here. Thank you so much!

I love this vet clinic. I brought my new puppy here because for 13 years this clinic took excellent care of my previous dog. I will always recommend this place.

Our 10yr old Boxer had been attacked and not on her ear in a few places. I couldn’t stop the bleeding and was directed to BluePearl in Gainesville. They wanted to keep Penny over night, give her anesthesia and stitch up the wounds in the middle of the night. We opted to take the medications and checked with LCAH and we was in at 9:00am and they glued the wounds shut. Unfortunately that didn’t hold. The next day at 8:45am they determined to stitch the ear wounds and around 10:15 they called to tell me she was ready for pick-up. Let’s just say both of those visits cost (including nails clipped and ears cleaned) about ⅓ of what the emergency vet was asking for.

My usual vet was closed, and I experienced an emergency requiring immediate attention. Brought my dog to Lake City Animal Hospital and received outstanding care. Vet explained what needed to be done in as much detail as I needed - the staff was supportive. Highly recommend.

The Drs and staff have always been there for our fur family. Always quick to help. Even during the loss of our families beloved dog. They were there for us. Highly recommend
