These guys misdiagnosed our standard poodle with gastroenteritis. Our dog ended up dying the very next day after being in their care and misdiagnoses and releasing her. In the process of trying to diagnose our poodle, they did several testing on her to the tune of almost $1000.We've had to call and ask for all of our testing results to come back. At no point did they ever reach out and call us. Poor communication and would not recommend. We were of course warned by our neighbors having the same bad experience with these guys. Go somewhere else. Update - See owners response below.... You first would have had to have called us to get permission. You guys are horrible, just ask your own staff......

I can’t say enough amazing things about Switzerland Animal Hospital. The staff and doctors are truly amazing. We got our first dog at 5 weeks old and from day one they were very caring, responsive, and genuine. My dog gets excited when we pull into the parking lot. I’ve gotten calls in the evenings from the doctors to check on Buddy after treatments. I absolutely love this place. They are the best!!!

We have been bringing our furry family members to SAH since 2019. We have been treated with respect and dignity during each visit and have been impressed with the extraordinary level of knowledge, acumen and compassion that the *entire* staff displays. Not only are the vets top notch, but previous conversations with other staff members made me wonder if they were vets too. We unexpectedly lost our 5-year-old GSD last month to liver cancer and it’s been hard. We walked around in shock for a few days and then began trying to process what happened. Receiving a highly personalized condolence card from BOTH vets and many staff members made a positive impact in our healing and grief process. Speaking of which- Ms. Tiffany- here’s a photo of Juno “walking herself” just like she used to as you took her back for nail trims. In this photo, she was leading me away from a neighbor’s porch to which I’d just returned an item. She smelled their dog’s scent on the porch and immediately led me away from the “danger.”

Was able to Sadie and Abbie in on short notice and have been very accommodating.

This was our first visit since moving to the area and I was very happy with my experience and how quickly they could see my dogs. My dogs are cute, sweet and neurotic in public so I appreciated their patience and understanding during our visit. The front office staff, assistant and doctor were all very friendly and the visit was quick. We will be back.

I cannot say enough good things about Switzerland Animal Hospital. The staff and the doctors are so compassionate and responsive. They saved my 12 year old Pomeranian by getting her right in and on fluids and antibiotics. When she needed emergency care over the weekend, they helped to get her into an emergency vet for her care. Turned out she needed gallbladder surgery. She would have died without the care and surgery. Our old vet was too busy to even talk to over the phone. My 3 dogs and 2 cats will never go anywhere else. They are the best and I highly recommend them!

Switzerland Animal Hospital is by far the best! We are fairly new to Switzerland Animal Hospital. Our first experience was a few months back Dr. Victoria Nihls and her staff helped save our 9 year old, Olde English Bulldogge, Dagg's Life. He had heat stroke and we called them as they are the closest to our home and they said bring him in NOW. They opened their arms and hearts to our family of dogs ever since. We have 3 Olde English Bulldogge's and a toy poodle. Since then we have had to bring our pups into the office, and each time Dr. Michael Bredehoeft and his wonderful staff took care of us and explained everything in detail and made us feel completely comfortable. Especially, Lisamarie Maselli! She is BEYOND wonderful. Anytime I have had to call, she greeted us with love, compassion and made sure to go above and beyond each and every single time! Friendly, knowledgeable, and good location for me

I take my two cats, AJ & Sharpie here. The Vets and staff are very caring and knowledgeable. Nice, comfortable office, that is now open and I didn’t have to sit in the car. Dr. Nihls was our Vet today and Jade was our nurse. They were excellent!

My most recent visit to Switzerland Animal Hospital, wasn't a pleasant one. I had to put my dog of 16 years to rest. The doctor and the staff treated my dog Spike with the best of care at that particular time, they were very comforting to my husband, because I wasn't able to go because it was a too difficult for me. Switzerland Animal Hospital had taken care of Spike through health care and boarding for 15 years of his life. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone who's looking for a place of love and care of their pet. A few days after my Spike's cremation, we received an amazing sympathy card from the Doctors and staff, that was so beautiful and heartwarming. ❤️❤️ If I ever get another dog, I will certainly be using Switzerland for my pet care.

I took my senior dog here for approximately 4 visits. They prices were extremely high and after each visit the staff would take nearly a week to respond to me with questions I had about lab results. I felt like I had to chase them to get basic questions answered.

Amazing, they have this drive up and drop off down to a science. I just took my dogs to get up to date on all shots since they hadn't been to a vet pre covid. I recently moved here and Switzerland Animal Hospital had great reviews so I decided to try them. I am so glad I chose them, they were great. Everyone from setting appt, to vet, to check in, check out and payment was extremely nice.

We just moved back to the area and decided to bring our fur babies here. The entire staff has been amazing! The front desk staff was super sweet and the doctor took the time to talk with us and did not make us feel rushed. Super happy we decided to bring our animals here!

Have been the veterinarian pet care for all our dogs. Staff is friendly and caring. The veterinarians are knowledgable and compassionate providers that have the best interest in your pets health.

Dr.B and staff are warm compassionate caring people. I had an emergency with my Dog and they took me immediately. They make everyone feel like family. I am blessed to have found this new family ❣️

Our baby girl (age 7-8) had to have her teeth cleaned. This meant that she had to go under and spend the day at the vet. I didn't sleep at all the night before! She is my angel. With that said, Dr. Mike kept us updated every step of the way. Ms. Lisa and all of the other staff members were so kind and promised to take good care of her. She had surgery yesterday, and Dr. Mike has personally called to check on her 3 times. I can't say enough about how impressed we are with the compassion and love everyone at Switzerland Animal Hospital shows to their clients' fur babies. Highly, highly recommend.

My puppy had excellent care for her first wellness check. Staff was friendly, patient, and informative. Veterinarian was professional, and kind.

This is the best animal hospital in St. John’s county. Very professional and really care about your pets. The staff is wonderful and take the time that is needed for each fur baby. Pets are treated like family.

Switzerland has always taken care of our dogs. They are always wonderful with the dogs and us too! Our experiences over the years have been nothing but terrific.

good let my cat die with dignity

This place is amazing. Service was fast, thorough and staff was very friendly. They treated my pup with love and used proper Covid safety measures. The Dr went above and beyond to help my puppy's situation. I would give them 10 stars if I could!! Thank you guys for all your help????

Ppl are very nice! Prices seemed higher, and ppwk had a mistake. Would be happy to use as alternate to my usual vet.

Dr. Mike is awesome. I brought Emmitt here in conjunction with seeing an oncologist from another hospital. We need a reliable primary doctor for Emmitt who we can reach when there is general issues from chemo side effects arise. I have never seen any vet in my life who could get back to me as quickly as he could. This criteria is the best customer service that I have never received from anywhere else before. Also he took times to explain and answered all of my questions.

I only spoke with them over the phone but they were beyond helpful and answered all of thr questions that I asked with the upmost certainty. Very professional and helpful!
