Lap of Love helped us say goodbye to our sweet Buddy today and they made a difficult event as easy as they possibly could. Everyone I dealt with was so kind, soothing, and helpful and they were so compassionate. Their response time for emails and phone calls is exceedingly fast and, though I know they have other clients, they made us feel like their number one priority. I am so grateful for Lap of Love. Our old boy's final moments were peaceful and painless and he was able to cross the rainbow bridge in his favorite spot while surrounded by love and family. Buddy's final moments were full of comfort and dignity. Thank you, Lap of Love.

Dr. Rhett and the Lap of Love team were so very gentle, patient, and compassionate towards us during our time of saying our goodbyes to our special dog companion. She was soft spoken and moved at our pace, and as she carried our precious pet away I even saw her shed a few tears in response to our own tears; my husband and I were very comforted by the empathy and compassion from this team. It was our first experience with at home euthanasia and we had no idea what to do, how to prepare, or how to navigate through the final moments of our pet’s life. They were there every step of the way and even offered some follow up care in the days afterwards to help give us some resources and group materials on grieving the loss of a pet. We are extremely grateful for this team and the special care of Dr. Rhett during such a vulnerable and emotional time for us.

From the employees taking calls at the office to the vet that assisted us, these are some of the most conspicuously compassionate people I've ever encountered. Our pup was as comfy as ever in his own home when we had to say goodbye to him, and Lap of Love seems like they've perfected doing so in the most caring and unobtrusive way possible. Thank you Dr. Rhett and everyone I spoke to along the way. I can't recommend these people enough.

It's not easy to acknowledge the time has come to say goodbye to your other family member, your pet. But doing it at home versus a vet office made a world of difference for our dog who normally gets very anxious at the vet. He ate all of her snacks and was super calm and almost happy to see Dr. Callie. It was our first time and I knew it wouldn't be easy. But knowing our dog was happy and calm in the process gave us peace of mind that we made the right decision to keep him at home. I would 100% choose lap of love if I ever had to do this again. They went above and beyond to schedule the time that was most convenient for us and I am so grateful they did.

I’ve had a few dogs throughout my life. I always found that my dogs were really stressed about the vet. Maybe I never did a good job desensitizing them, but as soon as they walked though the doors they were a complete mess of nerves. We had to put our 200 lb Neapolitan mastiff down late last month and it was our first time exploring the option of home euthanization. The mastiffs, like our other dogs, had a strong aversion to the vet office. During each visit, he would have to be sedated in order to minimize risk to the vet. Due to him not being mobile on his last day, putting him in the car to drive to the vet was not an option. When the vet from Lap of Love came to our house last month, she brought plenty of McDonalds goodies and Twinkies for our boy. We weren’t expecting that. She injected a liquid sedative into the food, which we then brought inside without the vet and fed to our dog. It was an extravagant last meal. After the sedative kicked in, the vet entered the house and gave him a stronger injection of sedative before finishing the rest of her job. During the entire process, we were the only people that our dog saw. He had no idea the vet was even there. I really can’t recommend them enough. In my opinion a dog’s peaceful departure from this world is priceless. They did a fantastic job without any stress to the dog. I’m not knocking physical vets. It was just really nice to have him spend his last moments in the comfort of his own home.

I cannot recommend this company enough. Their staff is unbelievably kind and helpful. My cat ended up passing before our appointment, but even though we didn’t use their service, Lap of Love sent us a sympathy card and gift. They truly care about people.

Dr. Kali Jimenez helped us through the unimaginable. We said goodby to our sweet Chief and honestly couldn’t have gone through it without her kind words and support. He passed away surrounded by love and with dignity and we will be forever grateful for her and this experience.

It was a peaceful way to say goodbye to my sister's fur baby. She was so afraid and they were so gentle with both my sister and her baby.

Thank you Dr Katie for your compassion and willingness to come from the Beaches to Middleburg to help my Son and his Wife through a very difficult time. Our Sweet Mocha was able to cross the Rainbow Bridge while laying in the sunshine in her favorite place in the yard. Words aren't enough.

Lap of Love came to our home during the Corona Virus and let us have the final moments with our 14 year old family dog at our home. We were able to say good bye on the front porch rather than in a vet office (our dog did not like the vet). This was low stress on our pup and Worth every penny!! The Vet was so loving and comforting, she explained each step and ensured we were ready. I would select this option every-time.

I wouldn't be able to recommend these people enough. Our pup Candy was 15 and we had been expecting this for awhile but thought we had a few more months with her and Sunday sadly she started to get very sick and we knew this was probably going to be it. Monday morning we called our vet to see what the protocol would be and sadly with covid there was a chance that we wouldn't really be able to talk with them to properly explain everything that's been going on with her and we just couldn't get comfortable with the idea that someone who didn't know her well enough in these past few months (as we haven't been able to really talk with them outside of curb pickup for appointments, completely understandable but just made us feel uneasy) would be making the call of whether or not it was time through just a physical exam and not possibly getting a full understanding of where she was at. As we tried our hardest to make sure she was doing okay while we tried to plan for a trip over. Wednesday night I stumpled upon this place through google and suddenly everything just felt right. The nervousness that we were feeling about having to take her to the vet where they'd take her in first without us (understandable of course for the times but since she'd gone deaf she'd get so much more stressed now around strangers) went away. I waited till the morning to call in and they were instantly understanding and even gave me a minute from the first "hello" to an unstanding pause before we continued the conversation. Dr. Rhett was amazing and Candy was so calm with her it was so nice to see. She was instantly very understanding of where we thought she might be and agreed that it was probably time. She was so gentle with her and us and let us take the time we thought we needed. She was just so reassuring with us about everything that was happening and that the crossing over had been so relaxed with consideration to Candy and it was just so much more than what we needed at the moment that it was more than worth it. If you do have the option to be able to call them for the final moment I think you'll be super happy despite the hardship of this all. Candy thankfully had a really nice morning and passed on very peacefully in her bed and I really can't thank everyone here enough.

My dog Lola passed away in April. Lap of Love was my first choice because i was thinking that home would be the most comfortable place for Lola. However my mother had a hard time deciding and in the end she couldn’t bare to have it done at home. I ended up taking Lola to a Vet. I called Lap of Love on the way home from Vet to cancel appointment. I spoke with a employee who was extremely kind & understanding. (I’ll never forget his kind words) but what truly touched my heart was receiving a sympathy card from Lap of Love (even after canceling services with them). I highly recommend Lap of Love, they offer exceptional service. They put the animal & their family needs first. they take their time explaining details of service. Each call i made (i made several) staff were friendly and dedicated in providing great service and support. Thank You Lap of Love.

I used Laps of Love today. Dr. Jessica was the most caring doctor. She explained the entire procedure step by step, took unlimited time, making sure my pet and I were calm. Talking in a soft spoken tone, she helped Blakely transition over the bridge to puppy heaven. I wouldn't trust anyone but Laps of Love to calmly help you through a most difficult time in you and your pet's final time together, God bless you!!

Dr. Katie helped our Farina transition to cross the Rainbow Bridge. With so much sadness it was time. Farina is now free to play with her siblings. I can't thank Dr. Katie enough for her compassion and overall greatness. She is a angel.

Dr. Kali Jimenez showed the utmost kindness and compassion. I am so grateful that she is willing to do this job, because it was a far better experience for us, having our elderly fur baby helped so gently out of a life that he could no longer enjoy. RIP, sweet Taz.
