Wonderful staff, great Veterinarian that care about our animals, doctor was able to address my pet's concern and give me feedback on care...

I’ve been bringing our animals (and parents animals) here for 20+years, started with Dr Chambers way back. The doctors here are so caring and I don’t think they overcharge or order unnecessary testing. I only have one problem with the practice. The aesthetics! I almost wish I could take up a collection to help them out, new paint and lighting would go a long way. The rotten egg smell is sulfur water (I think) and can’t be helped but it is pretty bad. Any way…does any of this matter? No. What matters is that your pet is well cared for and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed here.

Took my dog here and saw the newest vet. He had poison oak. I did not figure that out by the vets knowledge. She told me it was a flea issue. He did not have fleas. I told her he had been checked to see if he had an allergic reaction from fleas back when we adopted him. She ignored what I said. She just kept on trying to get me to buy more stuff from her. I felt uncomfortable being there. I had called multiple times trying to find a solution to his issues after the meds they prescribed did not work. I had zero help from staff. Probably after the 5th time I called one staff member helped out and let me speak to another vet. She was somewhat helpful. I ultimately figured out the issue myself. My baby suffered for 4 months. I went to chewy to order the flea and tick meds. They called me to tell me they needed to charge me a $5 charge to send the script to chewy. This is absolutely ridiculous! I have called around and I took my other babies to another vet, no one has heard of a charge to send the script. I will not be taking my pets there ever again. The vet has no business trying to sale product without actually helping. It's crazy that this place has 4.9 stars.

I'm so happy with the care and service I received at companion animal hospital! I scheduled an appointment for my cat Oliver, since he was having sneezing fits and eye drainage. Companion was able to book me just 2 days out for Oliver's new patient appointment, whereas other hospitals around the area were at least 5 days out. The appointment was fast, easy, and affordable, and the vet was very clear with her instructions.

I wish we hadn’t waited over 30 minutes in the exam room before someone came in to start asking questions. All was positive after the wait. Staff and doctor were very pleasant and helpful.

New to the area so it was hit or miss. Maxie loves his new vet and they are just what I was looking for.

They treat our family member as their own.

Actually nothing. I am very thankful that the office fit us in, even though we have never been there before. The staff was more than thoughtful and kind. Faith was VERY comfortable with everyone that dealt with her ❤️. I can not express how much this warmed this Mom’s heart❣️She is healing quickly. Will see y’all in about 1 2/2 weeks. Grateful❣️

We have been clients with CAH for many years and the care my animals receive is top-notch. On several occasions they have literally saved my pet’s life - epilepsy episodes, puppy eating Advil, and other mishaps that come from owning many animals. Their care is unsurpassed and while I could drive to a closer office, I choose to use Companion as our vets for all our fuzzy and furry babies. Dr. A and Dr. Z are truly kind as well as professional.

The doctors and nurses at this animal shelter hospital are excellent they take care of your animals they love your animals they're very nice people and the pricing is very reasonable and I appreciate everything they do

After relocating from South Florida, we were looking for a new vet. After making a few calls, we decided to go with Companion Animal Hospital. The best decision made for our pets! Our first call was very pleasant. They were extremely friendly and professional. They even took it upon themselves to reach out to our previous vet to retrieve the records, even though we said we had copies. On the day of the appointment, due to covid, we called to let them know we were there and they came out to us to get information and take our pup in for his visit. The tech’s and doctor were simply wonderful. They were informative, nice and treated our little guy with love and care. This animal hospital is also very progressive. Everything is digital and they also provide you with an app that allows you to set up and cancel appointments, see your pets medical and prescription information. You can even order refills. You can set up medicine reminders and keep all of your pets information in one place. The following day, they called to check up on our little guy. Not only did we have a great experience but our pup is feeling a lot better. Thank you and keep up the great work! We strongly recommend you give them a try.

I always recommend companion animal hospital. Loving vets and staff towards my dog Sammy and reasonably priced. However, when I give directions I always notify people that it may not be the newest looking building but its the care your pet receives inside that matters. I trust them with the care of my Sammy.

As Always..They love our Zuka and take such good care of her as they have all our pets in the past 40 plus years.

I've been taking my cats here for 3 years now. Love the clinic, the personnel and the attention they give my fury babies.

Both of our dogs are treated by the staff and Veterinarians and we receive wonderful care. Dugald and Brianna love the entire staff at Companion, they are always excited to see them when we visit. it is important to us that our dogs are excited to see the staff.

This place is one of the best vet in Jacksonville, everyone is super friendly and always greets you and your pets with such a warm welcome. You can tell that they're really trying to help your pet and that they care, this place is a keeper

Vets and staff are very accessible and understand what the pet parent is going through with a crisis. I have been pleased with everyone here. You don't get the sense they are ordering unnecessary tests just to pad the bill, but really care about their pet patients.

I called on a Saturday morning hoping to get my cat in that day. They were able to do so for me. Since it’s COVID-19, I called when I arrived and waited out in the parking lot. Two people came out talk to me, took my cat in then the Vet came out to talk to me. After that, i gave them my CC, then they brought my cat out when it was done. It was very easy and safe. I didn’t even have to get out of my car, I really like the vet, she was kind and took the time to talk to me about my cat. The price was also reasonable (better then other vets I’ve been to). I’m glad the other Vet I’ve been to couldn’t get me in. She’ll be my cat’s new Vet from now on.

7-7-2020 I had an appt to spay and neuter 7 rescued kittens i went through JHS at this facility works with them. When i arrived they said they weren't going to do that as they were backed up 2 to 3 months. That my kittens were over the age. I explained to her that i had waited almost a month for this appt. I was told they would see them this one time. The vet gave them 1 vaccine and when i asked for a recent to take to JHS he refused by saying if they want one they can ask and he'd send one. I asked again and he said he didnt have time as he had an appt. I thought thats what the office personnel were for. Very rude.. vet tech informed that JHS was pushing too many clients on them.

We love this place! They are patient and very kind to our animals. Surgies are clean and the animals come out of it nicely.

Absolutely love this place. The staff is kind, patient and definitely wants the best for your animal and is willing to go that axtra mile, especially if your animal is timid at vets offices. Companion wants to make sure your dog loves going there. Im not a huge fan of vets and it can be hard to find one you can trust. This place is 1 of the special few who actually care.
