The tech at this location (Eric) was great. Very helpful and kind. Kept us informed. The front desk staff (Sondela) was also great! The google maps directions suck and lead you to the wrong place and she called us back to give us directions and made sure we got to the building okay. Would definitely recommend

We were new to the area but had dealt with Blue Pearl in the Tampa area when our youngest Brussel's Griffon would not settle down. Cricket is only 4.5 lbs and is on seizure medications however, there were no seizures. My wife and I …

Great place, they were very attentive, and caring. Our pets are our heart, and mean to the world to us. These doctors and office personnel are great

Horrific experience. My poor children will never see their precious pet, a family member, ever again. Careless, irresponsible, and untrustworthy vet clinic. My daughter is currently sobbing in my arms. You ruined Christmas!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Brought my service dog in for accidental injestion of a pain patch. I was already on with poison control most of the day, but finally took her in for constant vomiting. Staff was rude, then told me I …

We brought our lab hound mix in because a lump on his leg would not stop bleeding and became so infected and smelled so bad. We originally came in to get answers because our previous vet (Four Paws in Nassau County) was useless much to our frustration. Dr. Jessica Russell was so knowledgeable and kind. She showed sincere concern for our Roscoe. Turns out it was cancerous and operating was something we could consider but to weigh the risks cuz he was an old boy (10 years). She was so good at helping us arrive at the decision that we had to say goodbye to roscoe. Super hard and painful but the doctor and entire staff that night were very wonderful in hosting us. Letting us have our time to say goodbye and respecting our wishes. Even though the outcome wasn’t great, we are just so blown away at how the Dr. was very adept at letting us decide what we wanted to do while offering her guidance and expertise. Such a positive experience despite a heartbreaking ending.

This vet hospital deserves 5 stars. The whole staff is wonderful. My dog came in for an emergency and stayed 2 nights and was taken care of with the best care ever. I was updated several times through out the day. Every time I called I would was always taken care of quick and had an answer back to me quick. My dog was treated amazing. I was told he was loved by everyone which makes me feel great. Pricing wasn’t crazy, it was reasonable due to the emergency. I will definitely recommend this place to others and will come back for any emergencies!

Blue Pearl advertises as a 24 hour clinic. I arrived at 11:15 PM and have been sitting in my car waiting, at this current moment, it is 1:35 AM. At 12:00 the entire staff left and posted a sign saying they are taking no more patients to the ER, despite saying they are open 24 hours. There is now in the front for me to call to ask when they will take him, and if his condition were to worsen, I would have no way to get to an ER, since the doors are locked. Very unprofessional, poorly advertised, and run.

We had to visit BluePearl a few weeks ago because our dog’s health started to rapidly decline. From the call to see if we could be seen, to wrapping up our visit, all of the staff members were kind, informative, efficient & professional. The clinic was clean and comfortable. They were upfront with estimated costs & what would be done. We had to say goodbye to our sweet Coco that night, but the wonderful staff made a heartbreaking time as smooth as possible.

What kind of "emergency room" turns away patients?

Dr. Barton and the entire staff of Blue Pearl treated my Pia with utmost care: taking Pia's full history and events leading to her sudden vestibular disfunction, appraising me of wait time (critical "babies" in front of me)...All were warm and caring. My baby is home with me now, but I thought I would lose her. Blue Pearl kept calm for me and did the work of expertly caring for my dog. I am grateful and highly recommend.

I would give no stars if I could. I called to bring in my dog who was having a terrible allergic reaction to vaccines he was given in the morning and the lady on the phone informed me that they would NOT be able to see my dog right away because the ONE doctor on sight was in surgery. She said they would not be able to hook him up to an IV to help the swelling until the doctor was available. I am extremely disappointed in this place. If you are an animal hospital open 24/7, why only have one doctor available? What would have happened if I brought my dog in and he wasn't seen for hours? It would not have been good for my 10.5lb dog. I would never recommend this place to anyone. My dog was having an emergency and I was told he would not been seen for over an hour, possibly longer. Find another animal hospital! One that cares and that would see your pet right away. I'm so glad I did not bring him there and went somewhere else.

I had the very difficult decision of having to say goodbye to my dog of 15 1/2 years. Everyone was so understanding and sensitive. Very caring. You can tell that they love what they do. The Veterinarian was excellent. He gave me all my options and information I needed to make the best decisions. I'm really glad that I went here.

i was down the street when I heard my neighbor screaming kneeling over her dog that was just attacked by other dogs. I called blue pearl and told them his injury's (which were awful) and gave them an ETA. The receptionist was clear in her instruction on where to go and she ran out to the car and grabbed him as soon as we showed up. Unfortunately he didn't make it. My neighbor was willing to throw all her money into saving him but unfortunately his injurys were too severe. They made him presentable and hardly charged a thing to help my neighbor say goodbye to her best friend. I am so thankful that they did this for her on one of The worst days of her life. Thank y'all so much

My experience at the clinic was excellent in all aspects except the long wait (3+hrs).

Very disappointed in this location. My dog had an allergic reaction last night. I brought her in around 8pm. There was a sign outside the door to call and about 5 other people in their cars waiting. They had you wait to be seen. After an hour I left and went to another emergency clinic. I understand having to wait, but I feel that someone should have came out to make sure she was okay, as it could have been life threatening. I got a call around 10pm asking if I was still outside waiting. I said no. The other hospital immediately came and looked at my dog before I even checked in. It was also a long wait to get a room, but at least they had the sense to take a look first.

If I could give no stars that would be my option. The service from the nurse was fine but apparently after she quoted me a bill of $75 for a parvo test(which my vet charges $45 for) my card was charged for $142. She explained that her consult was the extra fee. Did not explain that before charging my card though. They feed off of people’s need and love for their pets.

Payments are due up front. A $650 deposit is required to start working on your animal for an emergency. If they do not use it all or you over pay they really do give it back to you. I had an emergency on 07/29/2021 around 11pm. My cat Pebbles was panting, drooling, & short of breath. I feared for her life so I took her here. They sprung into action when I got there and told them what was going on. She was placed on oxygen to help her breathe. X-rays point to Feline Asthma. It was recommended she be kept in the hospital for 48 hours. She did so good at breathing on her own after a night & 1/2 a day, she got to come home. I was refunded for the amount of time she didn't spend there. Thank you team so much. Will be back. You saved my Pebbles life. We have a follow up/ check-up in a week!

How do you call yourself a 24/7 hospital. When my dad dog dying in his hands looking for help and your business is close. You have a staff member but no doctor. Why the hell would you even be here then if you not going accept anyone. If somehow someone was there who knows if what would happen. But at the end his dog didn’t make it.

God awful place. They do not care about your animals only how money they can get out of you. Way way over priced and unreasonable rude and unprofessional staff. They will take advantage of you in an emergency situation. They should all be ashamed. I will never consider this place, ever again.

Stop and Google another location. The front staff is the worst! They have no empathy for you. They will answer the phone while laughing (like do you realize people are calling for an emergency!). They also will leave you on hold for 45min yes on the phone on hold for 45min! Oh you think they will come back with an answer nope some one else will answer ask what your holding on just to put you back on hold for 20 more minutes. They are rude and inconsiderate of what you are going through. Unfortunately, they know hospitals are limited and they can treat you like chicken poo bc your hands are tied. We were on an emotional roller coaster for 3 days being told we had 2 options spend another 5 grand bc we may need to open her back up to see why she is still bleeding after the surgery. And if the bleeding doesn't stop and you can't afford another 5 grand then you will only have the option of putting her down. Does the staff care nope you are just a dollar sign to them. They leave you sitting in their parking lot and could careless who long and how much added stress that is to your dog. Then when they do take your dog they ask what medication she is on? Umm, you mean the medication you gave us? Do yall not write this down? This place is a joke this review won't change anything they will still have piss poor service and they will still collect your money bc like I said they know you are in a jam..... I pray I never have to come back here!

My dog was attacked by a friend's dog and had some serious wounds, we were frantic. I drove to blue pearl not knowing what to expect. All the ladies were so nice and compassionate. They were honest about the long wait time as there were other cases that were much more serious. Bo did have to stay the night but they called me and kept me posted no matter the time. Thank you for taking such good care of him. And thank you for all you do.

BluePearl was amazing from start to literally finish. I took my 13yo American Pit there when she was having trouble walking and eating. We were new patients. We probably spent 3hrs there. BluePearl was so kind, and empathic. Options for euthanasia were provided. I could pay upfront so I didn't have to worry about it when we euthanized her. Even when we left, they called to check up. Thank you BluePearl.

I came to Blue Pearl in an urgent situation on Mother’s Day. The one in OP was not doing intake so I was directed to the one on Southside. Upon arrival I was told they were not doing intake either. Apparently, they operate independently & do not communicate. This was totally stressful as I had a senior dog in her last days of lymphoma. After having discussions with the staff they agreed to take her. From that point, the process was so calm, caring & peaceful for my old girl who needed help to pass. I was with her the whole time holding her paw & stroking her. She passed quietly with respect & dignity. Thank you!

I called the animal hospital to ask some questions about my dog who was recently fixed this past week. Lia answered the phone and answered the questions that I had. She was extremely professional, helpful, and had the best intentions for my dog. Every time I’ve called an animal hospital they have gone straight to “bring her in I can’t answer questions without her coming in” and this was the first place that genuinely cared about the well being of my dog and wanted to help out (even over the phone) as much as they could have. Great service. Great staff members. Thank you so much!

I came here because my dogs stomach was bloated and she clearly wasn’t feeling well. Upon arrival, there was a sign that told me to wait in my car and call a number. I called, but was told I cannot be seen because there’s no doctor at this location. Also found out there’s no doctor at the location in orange park either, the associate that was there told me she can give me a paper to refer me to other vets. Walked out with no urgency or professionalism. Had to drive a half hour away to the closest vet. If my dog was hit by a car and it was a serious emergency with limited time, she most likely wouldn’t have made it. My question is, what kind of emergency service continues to call themselves an “emergency” service without a doctor on duty? They’re simply there to receive a paycheck, they do not care about your animals.

I am disappointed in the overall level of care that I received. My complaints are not with any particular staff member (Every staff member I did interact with was extremely personable and professional) however there was a huge deficit in overall communication and care for me as a pet owner. I brought my dog to the ER due to extreme respiratory concerns and fever that were occurring overnight after not improving from a visit to his regular vet. I brought him in on a Saturday and was given two options: (1) to have him seen and stabilized until Monday to be seen by internal medicine or (2) have him discharged and he wouldn't be able to be seen by internal medicine for another week. Because of his condition I chose to have him stay the weekend with the promise of having him seen and cared for by internal medicine throughout the following week. He was seen by internal medicine for less than 48 hours and then the doctor had a day off and then called out sick right before Easter weekend and would not be there to follow up on all of the tests that were ordered. I paid $2,000 each day he was there and paid just shy of $10,000 for him to stay there a week with internal medicine but he was only seen less than 2 days. Everyone I spoke to during the doctors absence said that they didnt know much because they weren't internal medicine. My dog was released the following Friday and had not improved and passed away that Sunday. I am devastated. During his intake I was told that I would be given at least two calls per day either from the doctors, nurses or techs. During the intake call I was also given an email address to send a video of his symptoms for the doctor to review. I received a response later that evening stating that they had no record of my dog being a patient there. I had to call and have this corrected. When I finally spoke with the ER vet, he had not been provided the video and I, again, had to resend the video and call. One of my major complaints is that although I was promised at least two phone calls per day, I only received 3 phone calls initiated from the hospital during the entire week that my dog was in their care. There were two days where I would call in at different times of the day to try and get an update and I would be transferred from the front desk and someone would pick up the phone and immediately hang up. I went over 24 hours without a single update although I was attempting to call. The internal medicine specialist had also not seen the video because it was not in his patient file (causing her to not know the true extent of his symptoms) and I had to resend it. The doctor sent labs and said she would review them and the video and get back to me the following day. However the doctor then called out sick. So then my dog was seen by a critical care specialist, in her absence. Again this doctor also had not seen the video because it STILL was not uploaded in his file. For over $2000/day, I do not find this acceptable patient care. I am SOOOO disappointed
