Great place for training your dog.

I'm an experienced Terrier parent but my pandemic puppy came with more issues than I could handle and more energy than I could manage. Lisa and her team at Trick Dog U K9 Training Academy have given us the very best guidance, training, and support. My naughty, adorable fur baby has transformed into a responsive and mindful dog. We both learned skills that have made life so much easier. The activity classes have been so much fun to do with my dog. I love watching his confidence and social skills grow. Lisa and Trick Dog U get my wholehearted recommendation to any pet parent looking for training and ways to make life with your dog more fun.

I was so nervous going in with a husky as a potential service dog but everything ms. Lisa has said or done with Suki has been spot on!! We are on our way for him to be the service dog he was born to be for his special needs boy. All thanks to lisa! She is definitely talented and amazing at her job????

I took in a Chihuahua mix dog as a rehome. The lady rehoming the dog never told me the dog has a tendency to bite. After being bitten several time my Vet recommended this place where my dog might get the help she needs to overcome her tendency to bite. If I give up on her she will probably be euthanized. I've fallen in love with her and after one session with the trainer, I am feeling positive that she will help her to overcome this bad tendency. She really seems to know her stuff. For once I am feeling positive about my fur baby's future.

Don't go here! I went to an initial evaluation and never went back. Not only did the owner suggest meds for my dog within two minutes of meeting him, she was rude to me as well. She was sarcastic about the fact that I had watched some training videos while I had been fostering my dog because he wasn't mine yet. "Oh, we just LOVE when people watch videos" (with an eye roll). Her rudeness continued in an email she sent me afterwards in which she included VIDEOS FOR ME TO WATCH (insert eyeroll) since she was not able to establish ANY rapport with my dog or try anything with him in our private evaluation. At one point she tried to throw treats and get him to come closer to establish rapport. I told her, You will think he's ok and bend toward him. Don't do it. He will lunge and bark. What did she do? She leaned toward him and he did exactly what I said he would do and she admonished me for letting him do it! Btw, he was not close enough to get to her. Also, suggesting meds for a year to a year and a half is not a first option. Do not take your dog here! She is not an animal lover and despite all her "certificates" she couldn't do a single thing for my dog.

I always love going here. My dogs get so excited to see everyone and they learn so much every time we go through classes. Highly recommend as it's an incredibly professional, but laid back environment. Your dogs will LOVE it.

I am very impressed by the skill and professionalism of this trainer. She assessed my dog's needs in advance and placed her in the correct class, the socialization for reactive dogs. She is teaching me games and strategies for diverting my dog's attention in positive ways and has carefully implemented strategies for safely and gradually exposing my dogs to other dogs. We have taken two classes so far and already I have noticed a positive difference in my dog AND me. I am more confident and successful and redirecting my dog before she gets reactive and my dog now looks to me more for direction instead of charging ahead. I am 100% pleased with my decision to trust Trick Dog U and hope to take more classes here in the future.
