My 10 year old min pin/dachshund, Chloe, had a 3mm cyst on her upper eyelid. Dr. Mangan removed the cyst and Chloe has recovered beautifully. It is almost impossible to tell the cyst was ever there. From our first appointment the office staff and the veterinary assistants and technicians were professional, kind, caring and very attentive to my Chloe, and to me as well. I could not have been more impressed and pleased. Dr, Mangan is an exceptional Veterinary Opthamologist. His skill and his professionalism outstanding. He stayed late into the evening to ensure Chloe was well cared for after her surgery. Chloe was suspected to have a heart murmur and one of the cardiologist staff members checked her thoroughly before surgery. She didn't have a murmur but it just shows what kind of care you will recieve at the Institute of Veterinary Specialists. I highly recommend them for you pet's care. I will not hesitate to use them in the future if the need arises. Thank you all very much for taking such great care of my sweet girl Chloe.

Staff is great. It takes a long time to get an appointment but it's a great place to have around when you need them

This is hands down the best specialist I’ve been to. I run a cat sanctuary and have been to many. None have been amazing like them. Dr Clemmons explaned thoroughly what he thought was wrong with one of our cats. He was showed patience and answered all my questions. The staff were kind, friendly, and made me feel welcome with one of our cats.This will be the specialist we take all of our cats to when needed. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Cardiologist here (Doctor Borde) is absolutely fantastic and we are so grateful for his help with our cat, Castor!

I was refered to Dr. Lewis by my veterinarian for skin probrems that my chihuahua was having. We had to wait a couple of months ro get the first appointment. I was very disheartened when the medication wasn't working. I was doing everything according to Dr. Lewis's instructions. Every time I called they suggested more tests. Upwards of spending $1000 , we had gained nothing to help my dog. Dr. Lewis doesn't return calls. The vet techs seem to run the show. Too much information is lost between calls. Dr. Lewis didn't return my call when I called asking for more medication because my dog was getting raw skin patches due to another yeast infection. I will not refer anyone to them. What a horrible experience for myself and my poor little dog. Malpractice at it's best. Non caring doctor and personnel. Doctor wanted us to come back in 4 weeks after 3rd round of infection but the receptionist couldn't get us in for 2 months. If you want to throw away your money go see Dr. Lewis.

I went there to have an ultrasound on my cat. They where very professional and answered all my questions. I would recommend this facility.

Well they called me back but COULDN'T give me a price unless I made appointment first. Was not to happy with that just gone to my vet and I know what the dog needed just trying to help my pocket it is for ACL /CCL surgery, so no GOOD FOR ME SORRY

Very professional and I didn't have to wait once we got there. The vet spent a lot of time with me and my dog, patiently answered all my questions and explained the strategy she wanted to use to diagnose and treat my dog.

My dog has a heart condition. They were able to run proper testing and give me a diagnosis and ways to help manage it. The staff is very friendly and understanding. My poor pup was very nervous and had an accident all over the floor, and they laughed it off and cleaned it right away. They are really good at answering your questions and providing you with ample resources such as pamphlets and instructions. Very happy with the visit!

I am so so thankful for the neurologist Dr. Clemmons. My 10 year old dog went from one day being completely healthy to the next morning unable to use her back legs to walk and was in so much pain. I was devastated and desperate for an entire month with multiple vet visits and no one could figure out what was wrong with her to help. I finally found Dr. Clemmons and he was quickly able to discover that she had a huge herniated cervical disc pressing down on her spinal cord causing paralysis. The day after surgery she was able to walk again! THANK YOU so so much for saving my baby, I am beyond grateful.

This is the absolute worst vet you can go to. My daughter took her doberman there for wobblers surgery and the surgeon did the wrong vertebrae so she had to do another surgery. The surgeon never even talked to my daughter about it, just told the vet tech what to say. Now, the second surgery (which should not have been needed if they did it right the first time) - the dog cannot sit, stand or even move herself over to her other side. It has been 6 days. Do you think that this vet even cares enough to talk to her, no. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. THIS VET should be disbarred. PERIOD. Please pass the word to whomever even thinks of going to this horrible place.????

I went to IVS to see Dr. Borde when I wasn’t able to get an appointment with UF cardiology department for 2.5 months. I am so glad I did. The technician and Dr. Borde were wonderful. Dr. Borde came out to the car to explain his findings and gave analogies to help me better understand. I highly recommend going their for any cardiology concerns.

Dr. Mangan is the MOST knowledgeable and the MOST CARING vet you could find for an EYE doctor. He drove all the way to Orlando and saved the eyes of my 34 yr old horse, when another vet wanted to remove his eyes. I now drive to Gainesville now for my poodle’s eye problems. No better eye doctor anywhere. Knows his job! And he travels to you if you have and old ???? that can’t travel three hours. He spends time with you and will order the correct meds for your pet’s eyes. !! ALSO, the price is almost half of what the Orlando doctor charges for dog eye appointments. Ten⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I took my cat to see an eye specialist. Dr. Mangan (sp?) was fabulous! He was gentle, thorough, and my cat tolerated the exam really well. The cost was a little less than UF Opthamology. I would highly recommend.

Visited the Clinic. We had to wait in our car while they examined our dog. Understandable due to virus. Technician came out gave us a paper of what they did. Tech. Said Doctor had to leave but would call us later to discuss the exam. Doctor never called. He recommended removal of an eye which is pretty important. Disappointed he did not follow up.

In most cases, humans have more anxiety about going to the vet than their animal children. The folks at IVS truly help to ease that anxiety every step of the way. Dr. Mangan is an honest and caring vet. His empathy is evident through his conversations with you and the way he treats your furry child. You don't have much to choose from when it comes to an Optho Vet in the NCFL area, so it's a relief when the one you have is a good one. I think Sugar Bear will concur. She healed up wonderfully.
