Faithful Friends Pet Rescue and Rehoming Gainesville, Florida

The organization and the adopted parent did not tell us about the dogs outburst of painful screams. It's like he is hurt. We took him to the urgent care and the vet confirmed there's nothing wrong with him. We have surrendered the dog and we are not allowed to adopt from them anymore. I have emailed them twice asking for the reason and did not get any answer other than they no longer want my business. The dog has not been posted as available to be adopted because they knew about his issues.

We have had 3 extended family members adopt from Faithful Friends as well as our family. It is very apparent from our experience that Faithful Friends prioritizes the animal’s health and emotional well being. We were very impressed with their level of care and attention to detail. Wonderful experience!

Waste of time, they don’t get back to you on your application so you don’t know the status on the pet you want nor do they explain why. You won’t get anything out of this organization besides a headache.

Don't waste your time. There are so many more pets you can find that have been better cared for needing to be rehomed without having to deal with their long intrusive application/condescending vetting process by a woke teenage volunteer. I suggest checking Craigslist or Facebook beforehand.

I literally got denied an adoption of a kitten because I have a 3 year old and they told me the kitten was shy. Well I bet she is shy. She is only 4 months old and never been around anyone other then the people at the shelter. Never asked me how my child was with pets, nothing. We could have given that kitten a loving and forever home but because we have ONE child they denied us. WOW!

We adopted the best dog in the world from this rescue. Just three weeks ago. They were at pet smart. Great follow up and great vetting of new pet parents. We got Milo now named woody. We are the luckiest people ever. I appreciate them so much!

Faithful friends is an incredible organization that truly cares for every animal that goes through their program. I would highly recommend them!

We were very happy with our experience using Faithful Friends. The entire adoption process was quick and easy. I appreciated the more in-depth questions they ask in their application regarding general knowledge of caring for a dog. I think it showed they really care about who takes home their animals. They were very fast to respond to any questions and since adopting our dog, have been in touch and willing to provide any help we may need. We love our puppy and are thankful to Faithful Friends for bringing us together.

The best pet rescue in the WORLD!!!! We rescued our little baby back in august and she has completed our lives. Rescuing through Faithful Friends Pet Rescue was the best decision ever - after so much research and time invested we came across FFPR and we were sold! Not only can you tell they want to find the best home and fit for their pets but they want to personally get to know you to make sure it’s a good fit! I came from Orlando to Gainesville just to rescue our angel! Thank you Faithful Friends for the best experience and for making our family complete!!!

Breaks my heart- I was denied to adopt because I didn't know that it was a must that all of their dogs have to be on Heartworm meds.

FFPR is a fantastic group made up of so many incredibly dedicated volunteers. We’ve fostered many times for FFPR and adopted our cat Yeti from them. We would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone looking to adopt a pet in the Gainesville, FL area ????

I adopted the most sweetest puppy from this organization a few months ago!! I can’t believe the dog we have now is almost 7 months old and going strong and healthy! This would be the place I will Adopt all my animals!!

This is not a pet rescue and rehome. I currently have a 3 year old pup who has his own room and fully fenced back yard. Super friendly and looking for a brother. He has always been up to date on vaccines, even the ones not required. He stays on good food not cheap food. I have a family friend who is a vet, who he has seen since he was a puppy. I was referred by a friend to try this clinic held at Pet Supermarket on Saturday’s because the shots are half price but done by vet techs. I checked with my vet and he said that’s no problem, they are the same, and they will update his file once I send them his vaccines. So with all that said: I was declined adoption through this “rescue” because one set of shots was not done at my vet office. Even though every single other vaccine was done there, all his spa days, and he is even on flea and tick as well as heart worm meds every month from my vets office. The dog I wanted to adopt months ago is still up for adoption. So sad to see that he could have been in a loving family but is still sitting without a home.

Great group of girls at Petsmart but be sure you know the refund policies before purchase! Also get a State required department of agriculture veterinarian inspection form. This is required for all dogs and cats being sold in the state of Florida. They did not provide me with one.

Awesome group of volunteers doing some amazing work. All animals are well cared for and treated like family.
