While there is one doctor at this location that is really good, he is rarely available and after my last experience with Verandah, I will never go back. I brought one of my dogs in on Monday 3/29 to have them look at a cyst in between her pads that needed to be removed. I assumed it would be surgical and they confirmed that it would be. They also said that they would prefer to do it at the same time as a dental which she needed as well. Dentals run between $500-$1000 so I asked for an high estimate of both procedures so I could budget and make it work. The cyst was growing quickly and causing her pain at this point which I reiterated. I was told I would get a call with the estimate. Another of my dogs had an appointment that Wednesday and I followed up about the estimate when I was there. I was told they were working on it and would be in touch. I asked about how long it usually takes and she said a few days. I called again on Friday and was told the same thing. I called on Monday and relayed that it has now been a week with no call from them. My dog is in pain and needs to be seen ASAP. I told them to forget the estimate, just remove the cyst. I was told that they wouldn't do just the cyst since her teeth needed to be done. I was promised a call by the end of the day, that we would be made a priority. Shockingly, it is now 2 weeks later and I never got a call. I had to bring her somewhere else since she was in pain and this practice clearly doesn't have the ability to follow up. I emailed them asking for a refund of the $65 office visit since they refuse to get an estimate to me. Surprise surprise, no response. A practice is only as good as their weakest employee and unfortunately, that lies with the office staff. If they doctor's/tech's are too busy to get an estimate back to an urgent patient request within 2 weeks and the office staff is too busy to follow up, clearly there are bigger issues behind the scenes.

Dr Piper and his team have always been professional and caring. Their prices are fair and the doctors are very knowledgeable. I have 8 rescues and they all go there. Place is clean and very organized

Best Veterinary Hospital in SW Florida! Not an exaggeration. We have been taking our pets here for over 20 years. Dr. Piper has had to save a couple of our pets from unfortunate accidents that I thought were un-survivable. Wonderful, caring staff with tremendous knowledge, skill and professionalism. If you love your pets, don't go anywhere else.

I showed up at 0:11:40 Wed 22 Jan 2020 I called, Friday, prior. Discussing my situation. They called me back stating they have the meds. I arrived They misunderstood! I informed them, "Do not have ear Mites!" Being very passionate about my feline "Mini Kiti." Putting her hand up to face from a 3 ft. Distance, telling me "If You Do Not Quit Talking, I Will Kick You Out Of The Building!" They misunderstood, Fri past, when they called me back! About having the medication! The lady in her 50s is mean dispassionate, Honore and a narcissist!

Sadly, today our Maya was hit by a vehicle...the folks at Verandah took her right in and did all the could for her. Maya didn’t make it...but everyone was so kind, comforting, caring, and generous with us. We appreciate all they did. I would highly recommend you give them a try if you are looking for a vet. Good people!

If I could give this place one star, I definitely would. Please remove the word “hospital” from your name..... Our family dog suddenly couldn’t move his legs, very lethargic, not himself so we rushed him to Verandah due to it being right next to our home. Upon arriving the staff refused to see him! “We have our own patients, doesn’t he have a regular vet? Did he eat table scraps? I mean we can take him but it’s going to be a $500 deposit.” We then called Van Rokel’s office and they are seeing him now. Very rude and not compassionate to refuse to see an obviously sick dog with a worried family. Wouldn’t send anyone here! I’ve never heard of a “hospital” turning away medical emergencies.....

We have been taking our loved pets to these folks for well over 20 years. They are the best people you could ever entrust your fur baby’s health to. And Dr Piper is perhaps the finest, most knowledgeable and intuitive vet in SW Florida. The people of Verandah love animals and they will do everything they can for yours.

My Shih Zsu had damaged her eye in a dog fight some months ago. It got to the point that it had to be removed. We obtained several quotes and went with Verandah Pet Hospital. Dr. Piper not only removed the bad eye, he cleaned her teeth, removed 4 bad teeth, and removed 9 warts from her body. Verandah Pet Hospital did all this for $1,000 less than other places that provided a quote to me for just removing the bad eye. Since Tami is our furbaby price isn't all that mattered to us. The quality of Dr. Piper's procedure was the best you could find anywhere. My wife and I are very pleased with the service that Dr. Piper and Verandah Pet Hospital provided. We highly recommend Verandah Pet Hospital for your pets needs.

The front desk staff is often not friendly and can give the impression you are a nuisance. After overhearing a conversation with two staff members, it became clear this vet office is disorganized as well- (mislabeling animal specimens). My experience with the veterinarian though was good. My experience at Animal Medical Center has been much better.

My brother takes all his animals to Verandah and they are super great with all of them as do I and they’ve always been very helpful. Super friendly staff!

Verandah Pet Hospital is absolutely above and beyond any others that I have visited with my animals they are very helpful and friendly and very personable it makes a big difference to me :-)

I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! The veterinarian's here have so many skills, both in ordinary maintenance for your pet, as well as accurate and quick Emergency Services. they have a quick and easy way to save money on your regular pet supplies by email, for supplies that you need on a regular basis.... Buckingham Ranch has used their services since at least the year 2000!

My experience with Verandah Pet Hospital was something out of a fairytale. Never have I experience such kindness from a Vet like I have today. After an Emergency surgery looked to be the only solution for my poor boy, Rambo's intestine obstruction problem. Dr. Piper, Dr. Parra and staff members sprang into action making not only myself but Rambo feel at ease. The surgery was successful and Rambo is recovering nicely at this very moment. I don't think I could ever repay the service these amazing people at the Verandah Pet Hospital have given me today. Thank you so very much. And to all reading this wondering which vet to come to I will shout it from roof tops, trees and mountains, always the Verandah Pet Hospital...always!

We took our pet Amelia in an Emergency. They provided immediate care with compassion and tenderness to my dog that they had never seen before. If we ever get a pet again our Pet Hospital will be Verandah. I highly recommend Verandah Hospital!!!!
