I was in desperate need of veterinary care for my husky mix who had a very painful ear infection. I had been calling around Charlotte County for almost 2 weeks to no avail. I was referred to Dr. Plavumkal by my employer. She responded to my request for help within five minutes! Dr. Plavumkal saw my fur baby the very next morning and took amazing care of him. She personally text me updates throughout the day.. Her WONDERFUL bedside manner coupled with her expertise in veterinary medicine is unrivaled! She also spent close to an hour with me explaining his post care instructions, and we discussed Titan’s dietary needs among other things. She answered all the questions and concerns I had. I felt genuine warmth and kindness from Dr. P. I am beyond impressed and I will refer everyone I know to Dr. Plavumkal. We moved from another state and were looking for a new vet for our cattery. Was trying to reach this vet for a week! Called several times and left multiple messages, never heard back. Where is the professional courtesy? Well, you could generate a lot of business (and income) with me, your loss.

Dr. Leena is very compassionate and offers a wonderful service to come to your home to see your animals. A godsend for those with anxious animals. She has some limitations due to coming to your home and not traveling with large equipment like an x-ray machine, but for what she can't do, she will guide you where you can go. Her fees are extraordinarily fair especially for a professional coming to your home. Thank you, Dr. Leena!

Dr. Leena did a wonderful job with for our German Shepard. We were very appreciative of her caring nature. She spend quality time answering all of our questions and thoroughly examining him. She was knowledagle and understanding of his breed and charactistics. That knowledge was applied to his care and the interactions we had both in our home and then later in the office. Our dog ended up needing surgery and Dr. Leena was attentive, reachng out before and after his surgery. The care she provided helped to ease any stress we had during the experience and I cannot praise her highly enough. I cannot wait to utilize her services for my granddogs when they visit. As I am assured that she may be able to give us answers to their care we have not be able to get from other vets. It is a comforting thought to know we have her to care for our adored family dogs.

Our dog Coco is 16 years old and is now terrified of going to the vet or groomer. She gets so upset she has seizures. It has been wonderful to have Dr. P come to our home so that Coco can live out the end of her life in peace. We can also order Coco’s medicine through a mail order pharmacy through Dr. P and it is delivered right to our home.

The Doctor and staff are wonderful with our cats. Our cats are rescue cats and are often afraid . The Doctor and staff take special care are very calming and responsive to the cats. The Doctor takes time to explain and answer my questions. Thanks so much!

At a time when my heart was truly broken and I didn’t want to bring my little Cosmo to a veterinary office, I was unsure what to do. Nothing is more difficult than making the decision to say good bye to our beloved pet. I knew my 32 year old parrot was suffering, and called Dr P. She and her assistant were able to come over quickly. They were gentle, compassionate, and with their professional manner, my baby was euthanized without knowing the fear of a vet office when we said our last good bye. My thanks and appreciation are immeasurable to Dr P. Please know that as a long time pet owner of birds, dogs, and cats, euthanizing at home is far less stressful for both the animal and owner. "Dr. P." short for Dr Plavumkal, is professional, warm, compassionate, on time, courteous and worth every penny. She provided initial assessment and end of life care for our feline. Dr. P. communicates very well. She went over a range of treatment options for our beloved kitty and what each would likely cost, entail, the pros and cons of surgery as a treatment option, including specifics around recovery, likely outcomes scenarios and discussed quality of life as an anchor for any decision we would make. She helped us make a difficult decision less painful and was patient and empathetic toward us throughout both treatment visits and her last visit to the house to bring Joseffa's ashes back home. Dr. P communicates clearly and in a timely manner re: logistics including her arrival time and appointment scheduling. She is on time, caring, takes time to explain what she's going to do (before she does it) and is reassuring and collaborative in her approach.
