Gentle Care Animal Hospital Fort Lauderdale, Florida

I was referred to Dr. Cox from Grateful Paws rescue. She was the most friendly, empathetic, and skilled vet I've worked with in the 50 years I've had animals. Gentle Care is now my permanent vet and I sincerely can't recommend this clinic and Dr. Cox highly enough!

I just want to say Whiskey and I are so happy we found this place. We have been going to another vet (will not mention names) we had some major issues, and decided to look somewhere else. We saw Dr. Cox this morning and she was the best. Turns out we did not need anything (even though the other place said we were past due on 3 things) I keep all our records and brought them with us. Dr. Cox spent time with us and talked and explained stuff, and then at the end said we owe nothing since we did not need any shots or anything. What a great place. We will be back when Whiskey needs here shots. 5 stars for this place!!!

Highly, highly reccommend Gentle Care and Dr. Cox. I have two Sphynx babies who are doted over and well cared for each visit. As a new mommy, Dr. Cox was beyond patient with me, taking time to teach me the best care for my babies, and keeping in frequent contact when they had to be taken in without me due to the pandemic. I am so grateful, beyond words really, to have found such a compassionate and caring team. From the bolts to the boots this place rocks! ☆☆☆☆☆ I will be a forever patient for sure ♡

I have been taking my dogs for over 10 years, and they are as dedicated, caring, professional and friendly as the first day i set foot in their office. All doctors are exceptionally good, I'm very grateful I have found them.

This was our first visit to Gentle Care with Chi Chi, our chihuahua who is plagued with allergy issues. We were seen within 15 minutes of our scheduled appointment. The doctor and vet tech were absolutely the best and very thorough. Being on a tight budget, suggestions were made that really were helpful and they gave us samples as well. When they told us how much today's visit was, we were shocked at how reasonably priced it was for the time spent and services rendered. This is definitely our new vet from now on!!

These guys are always so helpful when it comes to caring for your fur babies. We had 2 emergencies that required ASAP care and our kitties were seen right away. The entire staff is kind and gentle and obviously love animals. Reasonable prices too. Highly recommended.

I can say without hesitation, that my cat Magic, would not be alive today if it weren’t for the expert care of dr Cox. This place is literally a breath of fresh air and they think outside the box. I could not say better things about them and I’m so happy I found them.

I've been on a hunt for a caring vet, and I found one. So happy I did. Brandon Cox was the doctor we saw and she is really wonderful, very experience and the most important part she is really caring and she answered all of our questions and did not rush us out. That's what I was looking for in a vet. Thank you so much. The rest of the staff was as wonderful!

Great vets and friendly staff. Very clean office. Really care for the dogs and do not push services that are not necessary for the health and well being of dogs. Being use for 20+ years.

There are not enough horrific words to use to describe how awful this vet is. If you want to keep your pet alive, I suggest you find another place to bring your animal. Dr Cox, her lack of experience and negligence has played a role in our 14 year old shih tzu dying. 3x my dad brought his dog in to see her for the same problem. Cody was sent home with some topical cream and a cortisone shots when he was in the onset on cutaneous lymphoma forming that was misdiagnosed by Dr. Cox. Not once did this Dr. take a fine needle aspiration or biopsy to investigate this issue further. My father sought out care elsewhere and Cody's cancer was then discovered by our family friend who is a Vet. Had Dr. Cox done ther job and done it well, we could have found the cancer earlier and gave Cody a fighting chance to live. After calling to speak to Dr. Cox about the above scenario, she had no remorse, compassion, empathy or took any accountability for her role in this. I am disgusted with this vet, their practice and how they care for animals. As a vet it is your SOLE duty, obligation to care and provide the utmost care to our helpless babies. She didn't nor did Gentle Care animal hospital do that for our guy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, YOUR MONEY, YOUR HEART OR ENERGY on this place if you care anything about your pets. They will ultimately hand a first class ticket to your pets death bed. SHAME ON YOU DR. COX, SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just moved to Ft. Lauderdale and needed a new vet for our 3 pomeranians. Small quaint place. Everyone I met is super nice and knowledgeable and caring. Very busy office but still very personable. Can see why they have so many positive reviews. Happy to have found our new vet and super close as Vinny (my pom) and I walked there.

Dr. Cords and staff have the knowledge and expertise for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. We have been taking our 14 year old cat there since he was 8 weeks old.

The most caring Veterinarians you'll ever find.

Probably the best most compassionate veterinary service in all of ft Lauderdale. They listen, make suggestions and seem to know anything there is to know about your pet. They are perfect! I wanted to share this gem with everyone.

My 3 year old dog was in pain around 4 pm. I called and they said to bring him in in the morning. By then his comforting was worse and he couldn't walk. Wasn't eating drinking or going out for almost 24 hours. They took an X-ray and determined it was a compressed disc And it was pinching his spinal cord. I told them the situation so they expressed his bladder but didn't show me how to do it. I asked but they gave me no instruction on hydration, feeding or emergency care. They gave me steroid and pain pills and sent me on my way. Late that evening He tried to get up so I picked him up to go out and he started screaming. I put him in his bed and started to call 24 hour animal hospitals.. While I was doing that he mutilated his genitalia from pain and not being able to relieve himself. I had to put him downby vet recommendations when we got to the 24 animal hospital. I was really angry with gentle care animal hospital for net better preparing me for his care But nobody expected his condition to deteriorate so quickly.

I've been going to Gentle Care for years. Initially recommended by a friend. Wonderful people, kind and helpful. Have taken care of several of my fur babies

The only way this place could be better is if they served cocktails and pigs in a blanket.

Gentle Care is must go for all your pet needs. Extremely professional and they show they really care.

Dr. Cox is the best...I have been going here for over 20 years even tho I moved farther away this place is worth it.

It was my first time there. I love it! The service was amazing and the Doctor was really good. This is my spot permanently!
