Animal Hospital of Dunedin is an amazing veterinary practice. I highly recommend them. All of the doctors are wonderful, caring and considerate. They’ll take good care of your fur babies.

Traditional veterinarians who also practice Chinese veterinarian Medicine Again it's super friendly staff and the doctors are wonderful. This is a new review as I was here on 12/7/21 my beautiful dog Ralph is very ill with the tumor it causes Ralph to have seizures the fantastic people and animal hospital of Dunedin told me to come in and pick up a refill of his medication to control seizures .did not charge me a fee or office visit so I must say this kindness says volumes about the staff of this business I highly recommend this caring and compassionate animal hospital to anyone who's in need of this care for their loved ones

AHOD became like family to me as my Dog Bud aged and has passed. Dr Bartholomew is excellent both in knowledge and practice of Chinese medicine and western medicine. He cares from the heart about his patients deeply. He takes as much time as is necessary to tell me in detail about my pets condition. As a RN I wanted to know the details about conditions and treatment. He shows me X-rays and labs and everything that completes the physical and emotional aspects of my pets. He is very Intuitive and uses the Chinese medicine assessment to really know what is going on. He makes sure my dog and cat are well cared for follows up avoiding scary ER visits. I trust the care of my pets with this practice and that does not come easily for me. Recently my dog passed and this team came in one by one to tell Bud how loved he was by them. He passed at home but I was able to bring him to the loving arms of the practice manager to say my final goodbye for cremation. The office and tech staff are absolutely wonderful Bayleigh Julie Roxanne Charlotte Katie and many more I did not name. Jessica Heather Amber……the team is consistent and phenomenal. Obviously I highly recommend them

I have been coming to this practice for a while now. The staff has always been helpful, empathetic, professional and kind. Dr. B and Dr. Alison have always taken great care of my furbabies!

They took me right in as I only had a concern about something about my dog and they had a vet tech come out and assure me that it would be okay and that she can make an appointment for me to see a doctor. That is goodness.

My girls (2 cats) and I are brand new clients. They have only seen my oldest who was just this week diagnosed with diabetes. The staff and Dr. Restrepo are absolutely amazing! I have called several times and even had them administer 2 of her insulin shots and they treated me like they sincerely care! That goes a long way! My girl is back to her old self now that she’s feeling better! I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone! They truly care about you and your fur babies :)

Dr. Hafner is the best. Can't say enough wonderful things about him.

This was our first visit and I had filled out the new patient form on line. Before the form is filled out on line, there is a post stating one must wear mask, will be placed in a room after sign in. When I arrived, I was wearing a mask as I prefer to, but no one else was. We waiting in the lobby for a good 15 minutes before getting into a room. One other patient was wearing a mask while in the waiting room. I am disappointed on that one point. The girl at the reception said the info on the computer probably is out of date. I would have preferred to know up front that no one is wearing a mask there. Yes, it would have influenced my decision.

Dr. Todd and the staff of this facility are a incredible bunch of people. They really do care about your animal, but they also care about you the owner of the animal. Excellent place to take your best friend ! !

Animal Hospital of Dunedin is not the least expensive vet care in the area, but they are professional, compassionate, communicative, and provide outstanding animal care. Dr. Woodley, in particular, is a wonderful vet. She's smart & knowledgeable, caring & dedicated, and friendly & unpretentious. Highest recommendation!

The worst place ever I went there yesterday for x ray to check my dogs hips and elbows when I asked about the cost the girl in the front dish told me that the dr must see my dog first When I went there the dr told me that it will cost you about 800usd ,I told her I’ll think about it and get back to you While I was leaving the place the girl in the reception stops me and told me I’ve to check you out I was surprised because I didn’t do anything to be charged for ,5 mins later she asked me to pay 60usd for exam which exam am here to do x ray and I didn’t do anything yet she told me it’s like that you have to pay and I gave her my card and she charged me for nothing , I called another vet to ask about the x ray cost and here was the shock 250 usd Please be careful when you deal with that facility ask any other vet before you go there My advice to anyone don’t go there ever

I drove 45 minutes to see Dr. Schnoke in August 2021. I actaully wanted to see Dr Jacqui Olson but she was in maternity leave. My goal was to establish a new vet for our dog, and find out why we have been seeing mucus on my dog's stool. Unfortunately I did not find the vet to be knowledgeable about our dog's issue (leaky gut/IBD), which is fine! Some vet are very knowledgeable is some areas. Vets can't be experts in everything. Here is what REALLY bothered me (and the reason for the 1 star): I specifically asked for a stool test to check for parasites (as suggested by my former vet from Chicago over the phone). Instead I was given a stool test (Diarrhea RealPCR (Comp) IDEXX) - a very complete and expensive test, that tested for a thousand things but DOES NOT test for parasites (which was my ONLY ask). By the way, my dog stools were recovered from the outside trash bin once I told the vet he had just pooped. I am not even sure if this is considered best practice or if it was actually my dog's stools. I was sent home with Panacur (deworming) without having any test that showed parasites. Because I didn't feel confident with what the vet said, I paid for a phone appointment with my former vet in Chicago, and that is when I found out that the parasite test I asked for was never requested, and was advised that unless a parasite test show actual parasites there was no reason to overmedicate a dog with VERY SENSITIVE guts. Anyway, the stool test came negative for everything while my dog stools still coming out with mucus and blood. So $300+ for an useless appointment. I have an appointment with another vet at another clinic to finally get our dog tested for parasites. Hopefully, this new vet will take my time and my dog's health more seriously.
