I found them to be organized, efficient and professional. I'm taking 2 fur babies to Peru with me and they got me in quickly and were good communicators.

My dog needed surgery to remove a growth, and our normal vet wanted to charge an insane amount of money. $1500 to be exact. My best friend has always raved about her vet, and how they always save her so much money. So after getting the estimate from our vet, I asked her for her vets information, to get a 2nd opinion. Boy, am I so happy I did! Not only did they make this surgery affordable (55% less), they did it with compassion, and were very informative. This will be our new vets office, and if anyone asks I will refer them here. Highly recommended! Also, you never know what kind of animal you will encounter in the waiting area! My toddler loves going. We've seen a goat, a baby pig, and 4 bulldog puppies.

We started using Dr Matt when my mom had goats and he would come out to the farm and treat the goats and all of our dogs. He is amazingly compassionate and kind. When my dog had to be put down he was doing farm calls in New Smyrna Beach at least an hour drive away, he used his allotted lunch time to drive across the county to put my dog down at our home and stayed with me until my husband could make it from work so that I wouldn't be alone when she passed. When my other dog had started having seizures he took the most amazing approach to treating her and not just medicating her right away to see if we could control them without the medication that would surly shorten her life. Most vets wouldn't care about that as long as they could charge you...that isn't the case with Dr Matt or his office. We are so happy to have found a vet with so much compassion and feel blessed to know him and his family! I would highly recommend Dr Mat and his office.

Ken and I really enjoyed having Dr. Matt and his staff taking care of our pups! They are very attentive and reliable. We had to make a very hard decision about our 14 year old boy! Dr. Matt was very compassionate and let us stay with him alone in one of the rooms to hold him and say our Goodbyes! Dr Matt always shows my baby (AZRAEL) the utmost care & concern. Has showed hope in our piggy when my wife and I had lost ours!!! We wouldn't allow anyone else to touch her. Dr Matt is knowledgeable, friendly and tells it like it is w/o too much medical jargon. *Thank You Volusia Vet & Dr Matt*

Dr. Matt is nice enough, but not thorough and missed the beginning stages of bone cancer on my dog when I brought her in a little of a year ago. She was reluctant to walk and her leg was beginning to bow in. He dismissed it as arthritis and aging. He took no diagnostics at that time. I took her in a second time about 6 months after that due to excessive panting. He blamed that on her weight. Eventually it got to a point where the leg was so bowed in she was struggling to walk. I tried to get her in but he does not reserve spots in his practice for emergency visits AT ALL. Ear infection- we'll see you in a week. Throwing up- we'll fit you in a week from Friday. More than twice in the three years that I was his client I had to attend rando vet clinics for emergency purposes because of their lack of flexibility at his practice. Finally took her to Debary Animal Clinic based on recommendations and I can't express to you how caring and compassionate they were. First thing they did was take an x-ray on the leg and sadly it was late stage bone cancer. I just had Lap of Love over today to say goodbye to my sweet girl. I wish I would have went with my gut early on with Dr. Matt and his practice. My pup might still be with me today. He's cheap, but obviously you get what you pay for. If you have a farm dog he's probably perfect for you. But for those of us pet lovers that would do just about anything for our fur babies I would not recommend this vet.

Dr Matt and his staff are wonderful. He genuinely cares for our animals and has, on more than one occasion, gone far above and beyond to help us in an emergency. He is knowledgeable and always up to date on the most current treatment information. He takes the time to get to know you and your pet. We appreciate him and his staff and highly recommend him!

They were so nice and helpful! Not one person there was rude at all! They also let my 18m old son use there dry erase board to 'draw.'

Horrible large animal vets. Make sure you establish care routinely or they will refuse to see your animal when it has an emergency or needs euthanasia. It’s all about money.

Dr. Matt a sole practitioner seems to have overextended himself. My dog Luna (16) his patient, was in extreme distress and needed to be euthanized. They were unable to give me an appt, I had to have a stranger euthanize my dog.I tried to schedule an appt for my other dog following ACL surgery. He overexerted his leg when a new neighbor moved in with 5 dogs. They were not able to see him for 10 days and when I asked for an anti inflammatory medication for him in the meantime they refused. I contacted the vet Dr Matt recommended to do the surgery and he wrote a script for an anti inflammatory. After the surgery Dr Matt filled scripts so that I would not have to drive 3 hrs to fill. I asked Dr. Matt to fill the script and he refused. Dr Matt was too busy to speak to me when I reached out, all our interaction was through his receptionist. I have tried to understand his motivation, and continue to disbelieve that anyone’s ego would prevent them from taking care of their patient.

We have been going to Dr.Matt for years,with multiple animals(dogs,donkeys and horses). I definitely recommend VVS,he takes great care of my animals and doesn’t try to push expensive treatments when he can tell you a more affordable way to deal with things. Ashley and the office staff are efficient, friendly and make you feel included. Ashley even assisted me with getting my horse trailer safely backed into the parking lot. Absolutely give them 5 stars! ????⭐️????⭐️????

Dr Matt gave us hope for our fat piggy girl!! We called expecting she would have to be put down she was collapsing on her feet, very uncomfortable, not hungry, and being a lil mean to her Mom (I understood and didn't take it personal, my baby is in pain). But the Doc looked her over, asked lots of questions and 12 hours later after some anti inflammatory meds my baby girl finally got up and chased me down for my banana. I have hope she will be her sassy self very soon. Dr Matt never made us feel rushed or like our questions were stupid. And he did wiggle us in to the schedule. So grateful!!!
