Holly is the best!!! We don’t trust anyone else with our pup’s training! We have done a regular session, as well as a week of board and train and our 9 month old bernedoodle has improved in so many ways with her guidance and love! She uses only positive training methods, and also teaches the owner how to continue training at home (which is super important). She truly understands dogs and their behaviors and how to make them the best dog they can be! ????????

Holly was patient and kind with our dog. She taught us great tools to help our coco have better manners. I highly recommend their services!

Brought my wolf-dog here to help train her around distractions and other dogs since she does great with learning at home but is easily distracted when she's outside or around other animals. They have great training techniques and I highly recommend them. They teach to always use positive reinforcement which I love.

As a first time dog owner, I couldn't have been happier with my experience here. Everything was explained to me in great detail and someone was always there to answer any questions that I had. The knowledge and the skill of Holly and her entire team are of the highest quality. Like all dog owners out there, I consider my guy a part of the family and only want the very best for him and after my experience with Dog Training Academy of South Florida, I know that he received that in terms of his training. I'm so grateful for my experience, highly recommended. Thank you!!

I think they are out of business.

Follows no commands, paid in full, two thousand, trainer terminated training without notice and disappeared into thin air. Save your money and buy your dog a toy instead.

I called a few weeks ago several times and I never got a call back the phone will just ring and ring then you’ll leave a message and who knows where it goes from there. Terrible service!

Do they do service dog training? I need help with training my dog on the road to service dog. I need help with training signaling and other aspects. Does anyone have their number, the one on the page doesn't seem to work and their website is down :(

Brilliant- would recommend with no hesitation. We are first time dog owners having unintentionally fallen in love with a shelter puppy and tried a couple of dog training classes before we found this one. We started with puppy class and have moved on to obedience and I can honestly say we learn a tonne at every class. Classes are big enough that you get to interact and practice with other dogs around..but small enough that you get personal attention. It's frustrating to read some of the reviews here - the phone does ring when classes are in progress... the trainers don't answer when they're training .. that makes sense to me (ask yourself if you'd really want your trainer on the phone during a class or when they are training your dog). Holly always responds very quickly to email. The trainers are training YOU to train your dog.. so come prepared to be advised and corrected.. they know their stuff here and the trainers will let you know when you're not getting stuff quite right. The facilities are great - air conditioned, lots of space with great equipment to practice with. Our slightly crazy border collie mix is turning in to a lovely, well trained dog following their advice.

While the location is nice, and I like the setup, the owner frequently talks to people as though they are beneath her, or possibly stupid. I find this somewhat insulting, and although she is good at training dogs, I feel like she should improve her training of humans. At this point, we just try to go to other trainers. They have been excellent, which is why I only deducted one point.

Terrible service. They don't return phone calls and have no patients when dealing with people who are trying to learn how to deal with their dog's issues. Complete waste of money.

Excellent training facility, I have a well trained dog after doing 6 months of obedience training. A/C is a bonus indoor facility.

I would highly recommend the Dog Training Academy of South Florida to my friends and family. We've been attending classes at the school for two years now and absolutely love it. They have a great variety of classes from beginner obedience to advanced tricks and agility classes. The trainers at the facility are great and truly care about your dog and have an endless supply of advice of how to handle difficult doggy situations. My dog loves the trainers here and enjoys attending classes. When we started going to class here my dog was dog aggressive. Through a lot of hard work she's become more comfortable around other dogs and I've learned to read her body language to keep her out of situations with other dogs that could be stressful for her. I have also used their mini board and train program while going out of town. My dog had a blast as she always does at the school.

Ginger has been going to the Dog Training Academy both for training and boarding. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. All pets are treated with love and respect in an air conditioned clean facility. Ginger loves her play dates and training. Suzanne H

Dog training is as much for the owner as it is the pet. I'm loving the training tips that I am getting for working with my Terrier mix, Dexter. The puppy classes are very reasonable and have been different each time that we've been. I leave with some new method or piece of information each time. I'm excited to continue learning and attending classes with Dexter!

Everyone said training a baby husky would be impossible but DTSFL proved them wrong by providing excellent help in skill building and overall training. Wouldn't think of taking my puppy Skye anywhere else !

I have been bringing my Yorkie CODY to DTASFL for a year now. We started out when he was a puppy, joining puppy classes and puppy camp, which was a tremendous start to my dog's training and socialization skills, learning how to interact and play properly with other dogs of all sizes. We then went on to Obedience and very quickly added in Agility class.. and even animal acting/trick classes!. Both Cody and I look forward to classes each week... his favorite words are "Are you ready to go to school?" Not only are the teachers turning Cody into a very well adjusted dog, but they have taught me how to handle him properly. It is not just about teaching a dog a trick or a command, it's about teaching the owners how to properly train their dogs. I would recommend DTASFL 100% to anyone.. This training facility is perfect for the 8 week old puppy and the 8 year old dog who needs some help. They are an indoor air conditioned facility. They teach positive reinforcement training which in my opinion is the "only way to go"... so please check them out!

I have taken a little while to write this review because I needed time to see how my puppy would do after staying with this camp. I was not pleased with this place for a few reasons. First, when my wife went to doggy class on Saturday morning for training, she explained to me that the class was more about things to buy for your dog. They explained minor things about dogs but nothing about obedience. Second, when I arrived to drop of my puppy for Doggy camp ( a whole week), the customer service for very dry. When I asked what kind of things I should do to help with my dogs obedience, I was told " Oh! just come to doggy class on Saturday. That was not the best answer. I forgot to bring my dogs leash and I felt attitude after they heard they had to use one of their extra leashes. My dog is now back from camp and pooping more than ever in the house. I walk him three times a day and he mostly goes outside, but he will go inside too! He has no sense of going to the door, or making noise to go out, or even walking around and sniffing! He just goes when he wants to and where he wants to! Lastly, I paid for dog grooming and my dog looked exactly the same, he didn't even smell washed! I honestly felt like my money was taken right from my hands and I couldnt do anything about it! I would go into this place and talk to all of the people and get a good feel before you go and take you dog!! I wasted $525!!

I'm taking my dog Chief, an American Bulldog, to DTASFL. I started there with a Living Social coupon, hoping they could help with socialization. Within a week, he began to learn (with their guidance) not to bark and want to run over to play (in his hyper way, which is often misconstrued as aggressive) or see the other dogs. We now know what to do and how to give him the 'time out' he needs in a positive way, helping him teach himself that he can't behave that way. I was so happy that someone understood his needs after 4 years of trying with little success. In fact, I enrolled him for further classes! Bravo to all the teachers at DTASFL for their patience with both the dogs AND their humans! ;-D
