Prices are very reasonable for the service provided and medications for my old boy were included.

First and foremost the wait for an “emergency” was absolutely ridiculous. My girlfriend and I rushed our big boy (7 month old XL American Bully) to LeadER Animal Specialty Hospital just to be on the safe side when we saw he was breaking out in hives. Once arriving, there was no sense of urgency. We didn’t feel as if they really cared. If I had to take a guess to why that was, I would point towards his presumed breed. They kept referring to him as “Pit” “Pitty” and “Pitbull.” This was after being corrected countless times, but they just continued to wrongfully classify our sweet boy. Some may think this isn’t a big deal, but it’s more often than none that the bully breed is wrongfully classified, due to ignorance and lack of knowledge. Therefore leading to a lot of misjudgment and even wrongful treatment. Our home veterinarian is well informed of the bully breed and always makes the right assessments and recommendations. I just wish the individuals here treated us with a little more compassion and care. Lastly, the very insensitive comment of calling our boy “mildly obese” was the last straw that led to this review. If they did the necessary research and actually understood the breed they’d know he’s right where he needs to be pertaining to his weight and stature. Anyone can see he’s nowhere close to being obese. Lastly the wait was absolutely ridiculous. We got there at 1am and didn’t leave until exactly 6am. That was after being told at 2am that they would administer the shot that would help with his allergic reaction and we would be out of there in 30 minutes. An hour and a half went by before we even got an update. Then for some strange reason as stated before, we still didn’t leave until 6am. I will say after the extensive wait and overall unpleasant experience, our American bully was taken care of. However I will definitely be keeping a close eye on our big boy over the next couple days to make sure everything turns out alright. I’m big I’m customer service especially in a field like this one. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend this place.

I just figured it out, they give everyone a 3 to 4 hour wait so that way their friends and neighbors could come in and cut the line. I can't even tell you how many people cut in front of me,and they weren't even there before me...besides that their evaluation on my dog was equivalent to the one I did at home, very disappointing ????

Unbelievable, compassionate service for our dog. The professionalism and care he received was unbelievable - from the doctor, to the medical assistant to the front desk staff. This is a truly unbelievable veterinary hospital.

Had an appointment for over 3 months and they called to reschedule due to the doctor needing the day for personal day (im guessing vacation as it was right by xmas/new years) and they reschedule for the 6 of January at 1pm. I am guessing that due to me being out of the country when i reschedule (time zone difference), my calendar (or maybe a human mistake) was showing 2pm instead. I got there at 1:45 and they did not see me and wanted me to reschedule for another 4 months ahead. Receptionist did not want to even try to check with the doctor to see the possibility to see my dog. My dog has a heart murmur and need to see the specialist to live longer... this 4 months could be too late for him. I guess they do this because there are only 2 cardiologists in Miami? I am sure not going back here... I will go see Dr. Prosek or even go to another state if needed.

I was a little skeptical by the ratings/reviews at first! I decided to pull a risk and bring my fur baby here to be checked out. The front staff was friendly, positive and I could feel the good vibes here. The waiting room in front was clean, bathroom and the rooms for waiting. I had to wait a bit to get placed into a room which was understandable. Key points here is I saw a hand sanitizer bin to clean your hands, chocolate bin for waiting patients, even a coffee area to grab coffee, anything to keep you comfy while you wait. Staff apologize for the wait! Eventually, I was place into a waiting room, which I was sitting for a bit. Luis, finally came in and spoke with me very friendly, super kind, showed hospitality to me and was very compassionate towards my fur baby. Finally Dr. Kate, came in and spoke to me about my fur baby and she was very friendly, super kind and explained everything to me clearly. I knew I did the right thing to bring my love bug here. She was in the right hands and I felt safe without any worries on my mind. Everything went smoothly with my experience and the experience my fur baby was given. I would come back here if I ever need to get urgent care for my fur baby again. Thank you! For giving us a first time amazing experience to remember.

This place has the worst wait times. My girlfriend and I took my dog here for troubled walking and breathing and also vomiting and diarrhea. We were told it would take 3 hours for us to be assessed and they called us in a room and just left, they wouldn't even check out our dog or her vitals to see if she was in critical condition or not. I told the receptionists that our dog is in terrible condition and they just kept telling me to wait until the doctor is ready...in 3 hours. We sat in the room not knowing what is going on with our dog while multiple nurses chatted in the back room laughing and conversating. And more about the staffs, the staffs here are extremely condescending and always gave attitude. Anytime we ask questions concerning my dog's condition, they spoke in this attitude as if we were supposed to know every ins and outs of a dog's anatomy. We're obviously in a state of panic and anxiety but the staffs (especially the receptionists) clearly did not care and just rudely spoke to us.

I don't like posting reviews however I needed to inform about experience. Brought in my cat bitten from a baby snake and I was offered a $2900 (overnight) treatment plan after 3 hours waiting. If venous then my cat would be dead as doctor did not get a chance to examine her as she was the only doctor in. I could see many, many helpers but only one doctor? I asked my cat back so I could monitor her over night and she was totally fine. After 3 hours waiting the doctor suggested $600 charge for anti venom instead of the $2900 plan and I declined as it has been over three hours and my cat was totally fine as apparently the snake was not venous. Paid $150 non refundable for check in. Zero service provided, wasted time and risk of losing pet if snake was poisonous.

Dr. Horgan is amazing he brought my faith back on anestesia, after lossing a dog with it. i was so scared but my yorkie got pyometra and needed emergency surgery. I entrusted her to dr. Horgan and so glad i did. He cares about your concerns and pets . Also Renee is so sweet and helpful and make you feel so comfortable with the procedure and caring of your furbaby. I would recommend ????❤️ thank you Dr. Horgan!

Never come here. Poor service and way overpriced I was forced to bring my dog here and it couldnt have been a worse decision. The bill was ov we r 6k and after arguing, i paid over $2700 for an overnight and only got to speak to a doc over the phone. Never got a face to face. The front office people are plain just rud; the nurses are more helpful and nice. I will never come here again and will tell all others to avoid also. If you love your pet, take them somewhere else because they are only intetested on money and not the welfare of the animals. They never called me to give me the results of the exams...i had to call them. This place just sucks

This is not a cheap veterinary practice, this is an animal hospital for critical emergencies! My dog was hospitalized at LeadER for 4 days and we received the most professional care. Doctors would call me whenever they had any new information on my dog's condition or test results and Rene (client liasion) would text me pictures everyday and quickly respond to any questions or messages I sent her way. They allowed us to visit our dog everyday for a couple minutes and bring in some chicken for her to eat with her dinner. My dog was in critical conditions and it did not seem things were going to end well.. she is now thriving! The staff at leadER saved our girl and have even called to check up on her after discharge. You cannot put a price on quality healthcare for your pet. It has been two months since her hospitalization and we are extremely grateful to leadER.

As soon as we arrived, the front staff was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. The front staff didn’t greet us and said, “how can I help you?” And they seemed bothered by our presence. I was worried about my 14 year old wheaten terrier possibly being very ill. They acted as if it was a complete inconvenience that we were there at 9:30 at night. They told me to fill out paperwork and sent all of us into a room where we waited for 45 min. My friend went out to ask about how much longer we would wait and the young girl from the front said “keep in mind that this is an ER and we have other patients”. I felt that this was extremely rude because I was worried for my dog. They try to change me $1,850 for blood work and they where rude to ask for my credit card to pay the fee for the ER and she was so impaciente and try to hurry me to pay . Very pushy with the payment

Our puppy had to get an endoscopy or surgery for something she swallowed. The doctor quoted us $2,000 to $3,000 for the endoscopy and $4,000 to $5,000 for the surgery then comes back with estimates that we’re both over $5,000 smh!! This place just tries to get money out of you!! Found another place and the surgery is only $1,000 to $2,000!! Never go here, such a ripoff!!!!!

I wouldn’t come here unless you literally have no option and it’s like a life or death emergency. Communication is real bad. They need to spend time in an actual ER and learn how to clear rooms

I brought my puppy in with nicotine poisoning at 3 a.m. last Sunday morning. He ate a cigarette butt on his 11 p.m. walk. By 2 a.m., he threw up twice, including the cigarette butt, lost control of his movement, had seizures, and was barely responsive. I called poison control, paid $70 for that service, and obtained case number and a call back number, and treatment recommendations. Even with this information, LeadER team did not start him on an IV, or fluids. For two hours, my baby was lying n a cold room, peeing himself, scared to death. After two hours of naively believing he was actually cared for, a LeadER vet briefly told me my pup was stable and that a nurse would bring me a treatment plan. Another hour later, the nurse came in with a $1,300+ plan that included the emergency services (IV and fluids) that should have been administered already, and a cost of 1 full day of hospitalization and observation ($1,000+). After confirming to me twice that no treatment of any kind was given to my poisoned dog in the 3 hours since he was brought in, I took him home to take him to his regular vet in 3 hours (it was 6 a.m. by that time). LeadER also gave me a waiver to sign that I would be taking my dog home at his risk. Of course, I refused to sign it. I was also charged $135 for an emergency "diagnosis" and "services", when there was nothing to diagnose, and no services were provided. Luckily, my pup survived, and started feeling better a day later. Otherwise, there would have been a negligence lawsuit on the way.

I would not recommend taking your pet here! I took my cat here once when he was having issues with urination after hours. We were seated in their waiting room for hours with no updates on him and no answers on how long it would take to see the Vet. We ended leaving to get food because they informed us there were more pressing emergencies in front of us that needed to be addressed before my cat could be seen. 9 HOURS LATER, all they had done was blood work and we were charged nearly $900 with no clear diagnosis. We never even saw a vet. I'm not convinced there was one there at all. We now go to St. Francis Emergency Vet. I would never go back to this place.

Hard to imagine waiting 1-1/2 hrs to get triage for my poor dog who came with purple gums from lack of oxygen. The nurse said they gave him lasix when the receipt showed pain mgmt like a relaxer and they popped him on oxygen. 2-1/2 hrs in vet starts talking about "agressive" therapy - x-rays. I decided to go elsewhere so ran home leaving dog in oxygen and then thought it'd be quicker at this point to stay here. I call from home and approve xrays. Drive back. No xrays. Need pay up front. Ever try calling and getting phone payment or asking when i called? No. Now its 1 am. 2 am i go in to inquire why an hour any word? NOPE! I knew when I came in that I'd have to put my dog to sleep. Why are they torturing that poor animal and me? It is now I'm here 4 hours if you take off the hour that I went home. Now over 2 hrs since paying and no xray results. Why? They have to send out for the read!! Tortuous for my dog i have not seen since 9:30. I paid nearly $500 just for xrays 4 hrs ago. Is this even legal? Its hard to lose a pet but to put animals to this cruelty not to mention humans. 6:15 a.m. not a peep. 9 hrs. And as a postscript, my animal was sedated all day Sunday when I brought him home and started again with Labored breathing so I called in home hospice less than 24 hours after he was released from the ER but once I got him sedated again I was able to bring him 1st thing Monday morning to his vet who said it wasn't his heart and I was able to hold him in my arms as he quietly passed away. I am glad that my dog did not spend his last minute on Earth at that horrendous torture chamber. I am glad that he was with his loving vet who knew it was not his heart and that he would not get better with surgery as suggested after $1000 @ Led ER

My Toby is a 12 years old Labrador Retriever and has a history of seizures. So when he needed major surgery for laryngeal paralysis, I was extremely afraid to take him to a surgeon. But his breathing and activity had deteriorated so much we didn’t have a choice. Dr Horgan spent an hour explaining the surgery details, the risks associated with it and how his past experience had helped him overcome some of the related challenges. His knowledge and experience gave me the confidence to put my Toby’s life in his hands. Toby did so well with the surgery and recovered so quickly that I was amazed. He’s breathing and acting like a puppy again. All thanks to Dr Horgan’s skill. Renee, the surgery coordinator, the surgery and discharge nurses were so good about constantly keeping me updated when Toby spent the night there and calling to check on his recovery when he came home. I know Toby was very well cared for and I would recommend LeadER to anyone who needs surgery and critical care for their family.

Don't take your pet to this place. They will kill your pet sooner than whatever disease or emergency they might have. I lost a pet who was walking and responsive by just keeping him there for 2 days. They totally neglected him which is not acceptable specially when they are charging $1000 a day. And when we visited them to see doctor or nurse. Nobody was available to attend. Seems like they didn't have any doctor or nurse at that time which makes no sense for an urgent care. After spending two days in their care my pet stopped walking and died three days later. Totally money and business minded, nobody is going to help unless you pay upfront. They only want to make money out of a pet who is about to die. Avoid at any cost. I should have read all the reviews before making a decision to bring him here. I don't where all the good reviews are coming from, most likely they are fake, because whatever bad reviews say is exactly what happen to us. Don't take patients when you don't have capacity or resources to provide service.

1st star because there are no negative stars. You go because your pet's life depends on it and they sure know it. 1st time $1100 in advance, I pleaded to accompany my dying pup to the exam. They told me I could always bring her somewhere else. Just that Cold & that clear. Recently I scheduled my tiny rescue with IM. During exam we realized they had scheduled her with a surgeon in error. It didn't consider it a problem because I assumed I would wait until IM could squeeze her in. This was not an option. They did try to reschedule but I had no more time to take from work. On leaving, I heard the ADMIN say behind me, "Good luck finding IM" ???? I only gave 2nd star because the cardiologist is fabulous, he has the technology right there & his assistant equally skilled & as good as you will find. But if he's not there when you need him, you're out of luck. No one taking call. I had to take my beloved cavalier with otherwise very well managed CHF to my routine vet. The cardiologist performs at a much higher level than my vet and in compassion for my little pal, we had to say goodbye.

On Sunday of last week I had to admit my baby Max and leave him overnight. It was the longest night of my life because my dog is my life. The doctors and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you for taking care of my baby. As usual, like vets and any animal hospital, it is extremely expensive, but our furry babies are worth it.

The staff and Dr. Marin were very friendly and attentive to my dog. I thought he may have bloat and they made sure he was ok. Brianna in reception was very sweet and kind. There was a wait time as well as high prices however this is an emergency clinic and it was to be expected. I'm overall very happy with my experience and treatment with m pet.

This is the worst emergency veterinary clinic.. Do not take your pet there.. I took my dog there through emergency with uncontrollable cough. Waited over an hour and a half. They took my dog inside and I never saw the vet. Then an assistant comes with a bill to go over with me eventhough I never saw the vet neither they gave me a diagnosis nor explained what was wrong. After almost three hours I asked them to bring me my dog and left and a vet never talked to me and they did nothing for my dog. This seems to be one of those places where they only care about reaping you off and getting your money with no compassion, care nor integrity. Its all about the $. Reading several reviews, several people have had the same bad experience I had with then. So please Save yourself money and protect your pet and don't take them there. They are truly bad!????
