Best veterinarian care in Pinellas County! The staff and doctors truly care about your pets and the care is top notch at down to earth prices. We have had our guinea pig in there for a surgery on a large cyst and for a couple of other issues and have had excellent results every time. Doctor Valentine is very knowledgeable and caring and always takes the time to explain all the options and risks involved in our pets care.

And this is what I'm talking about can't even find my animal or my name in their computer system shows you that they don't pay that much attention and I've heard horror stories about dogs that went there for cremation and we're treated like garbage if you spend that kind of money for your loved one you want them to be treated as such even after the fact of not being here

Curbside only is pretty ridiculous. My appointment was at 3pm to get my bird seen for a simple wellness exam and nail trim. After the business was running 45 minutes late to see my bird, someone finally came outside to check in. There was no attempt made to notify us that they would be this late. Some acknowledgement or compassion would have been nice considering we waited patiently in a hot car just to be treated a bit unprofessionally like a drive thru. I will not be coming back

Absolutely horrible service!! We have a Chihuahua that has Pancreatitis, sadly. About a month ago, it flared up and she was having bloody bowel movements, and vomiting spots of blood. I called the vet, they were apparently too busy to fit her in so they fit her in for Emergency pricing. We originally thought she had a bone stuck in her stomach so wanted to get her in asap. When we arrived, we sat in the car for 15 min before seeing anyone. X-rays were done, finding nothing, so the vet came outside to talk to me at my car whilst it started pouring down rain as the vet wanted to draw blood and test it while I was trying to tell her about the dogs pancreatitis she ran back inside. I tried to call inside to stop the tests due to already knowing her condition of chronic pancreatitis. The vet did the blood tests and said they came back normal and then discussed a less fat diet for her and shoved 4 cans of $7 dog food in a bag, then called me for payment while bringing her back out to the car. After leaving and paying $430, they called and said they forgot to place her nausea medicine in the bag that was also paid for. Now a month later and she is still sick, as we have been trying to find something to feed her, we are back to square one, bloody feces and bloody vomit. We called this morning and before we could even explain anything the lady said we are booked today and we can refer you to another vet/hospital. To Animal & bird hospital- you have not been helpful at all and should be ashamed of yourselves! We tried several times to tell you her condition but you did not listen. For those reading this review - we moved here about a year ago and are obviously still looking for a caring vet for our 4 animals! If you could. suggest some down to earth vets that aren't greedy and rude to their customers, we would be so blessed!! Thank you

Had our puppy looked at for first time to get her second shot! Had to sit in car. Dr. Murphy came out in rain with Umbrella to meet us and talk to us about our almost 3 month girl miniature Schnauzer Ebony! We really liked Dr. Murphy. She was a joy to talk to and explained everything that she did. ????

I brought my sweet senior girl here when she was showing serious symptoms and they took her right away as a new patient. I couldn't get her into her regular vet and I didn't want to go to an emergency hospital as a lot of them are not allowing the owner to go in with the pup. I am so glad I found this place! Dr. Valentine was amazing and so were all of the techs! You can tell they really care about the animals here. We ran bloodwork and x-rays, but everything came back normal so we ended up with the conclusion it is neurological. I received multiple follow up calls for days after the visit to check on my girl which was so touching. This will now be our forever vet for my girl and for our other babies!

It's not easy finding a new vet, but I found a superstar in Dr Gintert & her fine, caring staff. They were kind, professional and most of all, able to find affordable solitions for my "Krazy Kat". If you are searching for a vet, look no further than Animal & Bird Hospital. Your fur or feathered baby will thank you.

I take my dog and bird there. This is the best animal hospital East & West of the Mississippi. It is true animal care here. The patients are treaded with such kindness. I have been to other local animal hospitals in Colorado and Florida and this place rises to the top of my list. If your pet is like a child to you then they deserve the best care and treatment.

I had called last minute after my cat was looking sick and they allowed me to come in right away, even if it wasn’t potentially a serious problem, they knew I was worried. They were so kind, professional and patient with my cat. They eased my mind and gave her medicine to help her. They even called a few days later to check in on how she was doing. We’re new to the area and I’m glad we found this place and we will be staying with them!

Really good company, nice vets and good care, however, they rarely pick up the phone or return voicemails anymore which is kind of frustrating at times.

My little Mouse, has been going to Animal and Bird for the last few years and they are so amazing. I've used the vet services, boarding and grooming. Maggi in the grooming section is so amazing with him. He loves her and always comes out looking great and happy. I trust Maggi with him she is so fantastic, everyone there is just wonderful. Highly recommend for all your pets needs!

They were great to me and my dog. Unfortunately my dog was put down. They were sympathic and supportive. Love them.

Newer to the area and our cat had an emergency. They got me in the same day I called and made time for the next two days for follow ups. My anxious boy is getting better and the vet and techs have been in contact multiple times to discuss his progress, it was a bit expensive, but he is doing well and I am happy with the knowledgeable treatment and attention. I will be transitioning my dog's care to them too. Thank you!
