I came to florida to visit my parents & my fur baby got hit by a car :( They took good care of her & were super understanding as well. What made my even more happy was when I called for a picture of her because I missed her she kept her promise and emailed me a pic of my Kuma????

This business is not what they seem. The doctor we saw was nice and knowledgable. The office was clean. We scheduled the spay surgery and I paid in full. I was then sent an itemized bill that included procedures (gastroplexy) we did not agree to (even the dr said he would not recommend the procedure) and medications we already had. When a doctors office says that you pay the high end cap, you should only be charged for the services that were going used and received. When I called to remove the medications and procedure from the bill I was told it was capped and the surgery was already discounted and nothing would be taken off the bill. I later received a call from a manager and was yelled at for my precieved abusive tone to the girl I spoke with earlier, when all I had said was "thank you for not helping," and then she continued to verbally attack me for being cheap. She told me I should take my business elsewhere and find a cheaper doctor. She said if I wanted to argue price she would uncap the surgery and charge me the full $3000. After I said we were canceling the surgery she said good and hung up on me. The dog that I was taking to their clinic is high needs and I have already spent thousands in the few months I have owned her to get her the best services. I wanted the laparoscopic sugery because of her needs, and wanted to save her from more trauma. The issue I have is with this office is they are standing behind a "capped" bill but charging for services not rendered. This was never about the cost, but being charged for services not rendered. Don't give an itemized bill, if you don't expect to be questioned. If you are going to charge everyone the same amount no matter what just give one price and drop the attitude.

Dr. Peress was very kind and confident dealing with my Rhodesian Ridgeback suffering with laryngeal paralysis. He answered all my questions and definitely put me at ease….it’s horrible watching your dog not be able to breath properly. He performed the surgery that day and I must say that everyone at VSC was caring and the follow up was great. I am so very grateful to them for helping my girl and to my vet, Dr Walker for recommending them.

My lab mix had to have a TPLO done on her hind left leg after a complete CCL tear. They were able to get me a consult in a timely manner and schedule surgery within a week of the consult! Dr. Rose did a fantastic job on her surgery and she was fully healed in 8 weeks! Dr. Rose and all of his staff were quick to answer any emails or calls I had with her recovery and are very knowledgeable with any questions I had. I would definitely come back for any other surgery my dog will ever need. Highly recommend!

Dr. Rose and the whole staff was amazing. My dog got attacked by another Dog and had significant injuries to his chest and neck. Dr. Rose squeezed him in immediately and the constant care inpatient and outpatient by every member of his staff has been amazing. So compassionate and kind. ❤

Dr. Peress did a great job fixing my 5-year-old dog's elbow dysplasia. He called me several times and e-mailed back whenever I had questions. My girl is back!! It took a long time but just having patience and taking it slow really worked. Thank you Dr. Peress! Bear is a happy girl :)

I did a great deal of research on laproscopic spay for my lab puppy and asked my vet about it. Dr Siems referred me to Veterinary Surgical Center of Sarasota and I could not be more satisfied. My puppy went in for a consult with Dr Rose; he phoned me and we spoke at length about when is the best time to spay a puppy and the pros and cons of before & after the first heat. Our puppy was spayed Monday at age 11 months. I was impressed with the professionalism and organized processes of this clinic. It was easy drop off, good communication after the surgery and very good discharge/pickup process. Dr Rose personally called that evening to follow up on my dog and make sure everything was good. In addition, I got a call on Tuesday morning from Dr Siems' office asking how my dog was because they received surgical notes from Dr Rose's office. Great coordination of care from both vets. My dog recovered very quickly and was back to herself on Tuesday. Of course, we are trying to keep her "quiet" for 2 weeks while she heals and the poor puppy is bored to tears. I'm glad that I chose this course of treatment for my dog and I'm happy that we have a trained specialist nearby. It is a more expensive option than traditional spay, but the benefits are worth the extra expense if you do the research. I hope that I don't need to visit this practice again in the near future, but it's good to know that they're there if we need them.

My dog Jack is a year and 5 months old . He was running after a ball , cried lifted his leg up in the air . I tried resting , got X-rays , I ended up seeking advice from several specialists, and Doctor Rose was the best ! He took his time evaluating him , he listened, and he went in with the scope , and was only going to do surgery if necessary. Jack had a tear in his cruciate ligament , causing his knee to pop out . Surgery was done , and after 6 weeks Jack was like a new dog ! The hospital is clean and well equipped with state of the art machines , and they have staff there overnight to take care of Jack after surgery. The staff there is amazing, they answered all of my questions, they were all very professional, kind , and patient. Dr. Rose did what was needed , and never once tried to sell or upgrade services . His prices are good . I am truly thankful for the compassionate care Dr. Rose , and his staff provided for jack . I am so grateful and wish Dr. Rose and his staff success in their careers , and in life .

I cannot have high enough praise for this entire team! Completely a godsend. From the first initial contact with Maggie, to the consult with Dr Rose and his nurses, to his first rehab with Morgan (and more to come) have all been incredible. My dog, male pit mix 6yrs old needed a bilateral TPLO surgery for any quality of life. I had several consults prior to here to make sure I found the perfect fit, and the perfect surgeon, and got just that. My boy is almost 1 month post-op and is doing incredible!! Honestly better than I dreamed and hoped. He went from limping around and having to be picked up and helped down off of anything to the bionic boy! They also responded so quickly to my "paranoid dog mom" emails over the weekend/after-hours just after surgery with all my questions and concerns. Highly highly recommend! Top notch team and the best surgeon!

I simply can't put into words how thankful I am for Dr. Rose and his team. From the first moment I spoke with Dr. Rose's staff I cried of relief and happiness that I had found the place my cat needed. They were so reassuring, comforting, and responsive to our every need. My family and I live four hours away and initially were nervous as to whether or not our cat would benefit from a practice this far away- it was worth EVERY second. Despite us being officially discharged, Dr. Rose has called me morning, weekend, and evening to provide me with updates and remain in touch with her current provider to ensure a continuation of care. My cat needed some additional care due to a specialized procedure and Dr. Rose would transport my cat back and forth from the ER just to make sure she received the highest level of care! On the weekends, he would visit her and send me videos/photos! We have had several pets throughout our life and I have never experienced a vet like Dr. Rose. His team is phenomenal and your research should end here. Rest assure that you found a wonderful team that truly cares about what they do and loves animals. Thank you Dr. Rose for everything. We are so thankful for you. Love, Gari's family

Recently, our 12 yr old lab, Angel, required two surgeries. The entire staff was outstanding. The care and compassion they all provided was unbelievable. A couple names to mention are Maggie and Christine. Always friendly, helpful and caring. We genuinely cannot thank Dr. Rose enough for all he did. In the moment, when our pets are in need, we tend to take for granted the person who is responsible for the care of our pets, as that is his job. He is confident, shows compassion, honest and a reliable communicator, not to mention an outstanding surgeon. All we can say is, thank you, Dr. Rose! Thanks to all!!

We are blessed to have Mason and the crew in our life. The time and the therapy that Mason gives scooter is awesome. My female boxer "Oly" was rushed to the animal ER of University Park on February 8, 2020. She was then diagnosed with Spontaneous Pneumothorax caused by a Pulmonary Bulla on her left lung lobe. The staff at the ER did everything they could to stabilize my poor Oly quickly as her lungs fully collapse at arrival. Oly's procedures included a chest tube to help release accumulated air around the chest wall (Thoracentesis), CT Scan, and Pleurodesis. The CT scan was performed by Dr. Rose at the Veterinary Surgery Center of Sarasota. Even though Dr. Rose is a very busy surgeon with tight availability Oly was transferred over to his facility for further medical care. Dr. Rose advised in her initial surgery consultation that Oly would require a Thoracoscopy, Partial Lung Lobectomy procedure. Unfortunately, the procedure was not successful on the first attempt. I thought the worst at that point, but Dr. Rose did NOT want to give up on Oly. Dr. Rose then attempted a more complicated surgery, in which it involved open chest surgery. Not only did doctor perform the surgery with much detail and care, he requested the assistance of another certified surgeon to assure there was no other sign of infection through out the other lung lobes. I know Dr. Rose is a top-notch surgeon with many recognition's for his previous work and did NOT have to involve a second surgeon for reassurance. Dr. Rose did that because he truly cares for patients and wanted to make sure her surgery was completed with 100% success. Oly's condition was very rare and uncommon but at the end Dr. Rose was successful and kept my Oly alive!!! After her surgical care was completed, I was able to finally bring her home on February 23rd. Not only were they loving and caring with Oly, they were also very understanding with me as well. They understood that she is the child I don't have. I called at all hours of the day and they always had the doctor or manager explain her current condition. They also allowed me to visit her during low peak hours so we could spend quality time. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for their hard work and dedication. Animal ER, Dr. Rose, & all staff kept my baby ALIVE! This whole experience was a TRUE Miracle! #Forevergrateful A profound thank you to Dr. Rose and staff who did everything to keep my Oly safe from the worse. Not only do they know what they are doing but you can also see their passion in their work. Dr. Rose Managers: Brittney & Maurina Nurses: Caroline & Morgan Over Night Nurse: Jazlyn Assistants: Lili, Rowan, & Andrieanna Rehab: Mason Receptionist: Maggie, Sophia, & Aurielle Everyone that worked on my dog's situation were very caring and understanding. Dr. Rose did an outstanding job dealing with a very unique/uncommon heath condition that is typically not identified in animals. You did an EXCELLENT job Doctor!
