Pet Paradise Lakewood Ranch Bradenton, Florida

We brought our dogs here for boarding for 3 nights. We signed them up for day camp as well so they would be playing all day with the other dogs. They told us what cameras to watch them on while they were outside playing. Out of the first 2 days, we saw them on the cameras playing ONE time. We called 4-5 times within the first 2 days and each time we called we were told “they are put up for a meal and will be back out shortly”. Finally on day 3, they told us they only were signed up for boarding which included just 2, 30 minute outdoor play time sessions each day. Our dogs were in their kennel for 23 hours A DAY when we were told they would be playing all day every day. We would have never gone on vacation if we knew our dogs would be locked away all day! I’m not sure if they were just short staffed and didn’t want to deal with more dogs or what but this was a HUGE mistake. We were very clear we wanted them in day camp. Jacob the manager was nice in assisting us and giving us 1 night free of charge. However we will NEVER bring our dogs back to Pet Paradise! We do not trust them to take care of our pups.

We boarded our dog Max here for New Years Eve. Totally impressed with Pet Paradise. They took great care of him. He was a happy pup coming out of there. The place is impressive. Very clean and the amount of space they have for the dogs to run is amazing. Plus the pool pads are very cool. They also had enough staff to tend to all of the dogs. They even have web cams to check in on your dog. I booked on line and found it very easy and the rates are spelled out. Lots of options besides just a kennel for our dog. We were very pleased and plan on using Pet Paradise for the future for boarding Max. Awesome place!!!!!

Unprofessional grooming in the highest level, does not deserve any start and will not be back here ever again. Our beautiful Teddi looks like a homeless dog with uneven bad haircut.. he got an ear infection as they did not protected his ears when they washed him. The groomer should be ashamed of herself doing a such terrible job.

My active dog , Buddy the Black Mouth Cur loves playing here & they love him. When my older dog stays , they have a quiet place for her and limited activity.

This place is great! My dogs had a blast and I could watch them on camera throughout the day!

We booked our reservation over a month in advance and I called to confirm the rate days in advance. I was told 85-105 dollars for both my dogs for boarding. Today , my wife stopped by to ask questions and was told 150-200. Keep in mind I made this reservation over a month ago. In addition, to this we were just informed that my dogs need shots and need see the vet. Why weren’t we told about this when we made the reservation? This is unacceptable and now leaves us Is in a binde.

I took my dog in and they turned us away because my dogs records were hand written by my breeder. They insinuated I forged the document. My dog is NKC registered and i travel with him due to I’m a travel nurse and never had this problem or treatment. The manager called and apologized but didn’t change my experience.

Always a pleasure to know my boy is in Great hands and the day care is awesome and he is wiped out from playing with the staff,other dogs and being in the pool...would highly recommend it to anyone who loves their doggies! Very pleasant staff and clean facilities!!!

We take our 3 dogs to Pet Paradise for their yearly. The veterinarian staff are super friendly and my dogs really seem to like them.

Great vet service. Get one of their vet plans and save money.

I love pet paradise ! They’ve always treated my dog with so much care and love just like I would. Sunday morning my pup woke up with hives , the next morning I was able to get him seen by the vet . It’s Saturday morning and I got a call checking up on him and seeing how he was doing . That shows that you guys care about your patients and that it’s not just about the money! Thank you !

They treat all the dogs with a lot of love and attention. The facility is also very clean.

I was planning to inquire about using your facility for my dog. But after reading FOURTEEN very negative comments regarding the facility, its high cost, rude employees and THREE customers’ dogs coming down with kennel cough, I wonder how you can stay in business. I’ll be going elsewhere for dog care.

Such a cute little dog hotel for our pups! They have a vet on site to handle anything your dogs need. A groomer and an awesome outdoor play area with a pool for the pups to swim in! Our pup who is usually not very social with other dogs had a blast playing with other pups. In the outdoor area they have a live camera where you can look in on your pups whenever you want. Cool place, great prices, Highly recommend!

We use this place both for grooming and to board the puppies - so far no issues. Staff is kind and attentive, sometimes there is a little wait but small price to pay to know the puppies are safe and cared for

Upon arrival the very rude receptionist told us our indoor outdoor suite was unavailable even though I booked it 2 months in advance with email confirmation. After that upsetting situation, she rearranged someone else's reservation, poor people, for the suite I reserved. Then the receptionist took one look at my dog, who is paraplegic, her back legs do not work, and said "we dont take these type dogs, someone should have contacted you"...let me back up, this was our Second Visit! Why didnt they explain that 9 months ago?? I personally went there, got a tour and told them about her condition ahead to be certain they could handle it. Now they tell me?? Must be new owners...we were told we were "not invited back" . After picking them up 6 days later, I found that one of my dog's food was never used, the whole box was untouched, what the hell did she eat? This was truly the most unprofessional, upsetting, rude experience ever! So I'm going back to Bayside who were gracious and very receptive to my dogs condition and more affordable to...Too bad Pet Paradise, too bad...

Genell did the most amazing job! She was very concerned to make sure we were happy. I sent her pictures of how we wanted our pups to look. She went above and beyond our expectations. Seriously! She is very meticulous! Wow! We are so blessed to have found her! We recommend her a million percent! Thanks Genell!!

This was our first time at this Pet Paradise location, yet the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, caring, and accommodating. Beautiful location with awesome amenities. We will definitely use them again!

I’ve used them several times and would highly recommend but after last visit a week or so ago, where I added on Day Camp and playtime, all 3 of mine came home with Kennel Cough even though they are all vaccinated currently. I wonder if this place requires Bordatella and checks to make sure their guests are current? $250 in Vet bills for me because of this. ????

Although I rate this pet resort very high, and I recommend it highly, I had one minor issue. Our 2 year old Lab spent one day in Daycare. We could see her playing on the web cams any time we wished. No question, she had a ball in the pool, and playing with up to a dozen other dogs. However, she injured her paws, front right, and rear left. One paw pad was scraped off a bit, and the other pad had a gash. We don't blame Pet Paradise for the wild running of our Lab, as several of the other dogs were running, at times, with abandon. She seemed okay until she was got home, when she began to limp a bit. At first we thought she may have injured a ligament or something more serious. After extensive examination, all over, we observed the paw pads. We applied Neosporin on the paws, and, fortunately, we had some little doggie boots (she likes jumping up on people when she meets them, so, sometimes, we put them on the front paws, at first meeting). She walked around in the boots for a couple days (too funny looking, lol) and the paws healed and she was herself, again. No harm done. I noticed, the ground around the pool is cement, or some other material designed to prevent slipping, I suppose. Our pup may have received abrasions on that surface. Again, this certainly wouldn't be the fault of Pet Paradise staff, as pups love to run and play. I don't know if the pets can be tempered when running on this surface, although there is plenty grass they run on also. Next time, I will inquire about this. The one issue I have, is I don't think we would like our pup running and playing all day long, which may lead to the paw issues. Perhaps for the future, we will arrange for an hour or so of play, and the remaining time, for daycare, more quiet time. Not sure if Pet Paradise accommodates this, but we do plan to use their services in the future. It's a marvelous facility with a great staff. As an aside, this first day we used this resort was complimentary, which was a plus. The Webcams were high quality, allowing us to watch the dogs enjoy themselves, which they did.

Don’t work there! Several confirmed dog bites on employees within the last month. The manager does not appear to care about those that work for her. Love the response. ???? You strive to provide a safe, fun and enjoyable experience? Well, if getting bit 3 times and having to go to the ER is all that, then you definitely do not realize what you are talking about. SMH, I will contact whoever to make sure your passive care for your employees changes.

It says they are open on Sunday but doesn’t look so!

We left our male dog in this place even though at the beginning we were very skeptical as the staff never gave us a tour around the facility because of COVID they said. Also, no cameras available to check on your dog from time to time. We paid for 5 nights but thanks God we came a day earlier to pick him up. I don’t want to over elaborate this review so I will be quick. Our male dog was unrecognizable, at least he dropped 10 pounds in 5 days, very bad smell and dirt everywhere. He was looking very scared and confused. But the very sad part was that he pee twice in a roll for a very long time, so make your on conclusions. I will never take him here again.
