I used to travel to North Windham Vet to bring my dogs to him and couldn't have been happier when he came to Tolland Veterinary Hospital! Dr. Shemer is perhaps one of the most trusted professionals I have known in any discipline. I include other veterinarians, doctors, attorneys, mechanics, and financial advisors, in this assessment. Dr. Shemer has clearly communicated, thoroughly tested and with great experience, advised direction for our dogs health. This has included two, life-saving incidents. One, a mysterious infection and the other, an urgent surgery. We have followed Dr. Shemer from his former veterinary hospital and drive past many veterinarians to see him. For our last visit we were seen promptly, safely and securely. His team has tirelessly and professionally adapted to the pandemic. I am a busy man with a wife and children who has seen the long-term care of his late parents. I understand that life is unpredictable and we occasionally need to put our beloved family pets into the hands of a professional. I only wish I had the confidence in other professionals that I do with Tolland Veterinary, Dr. Shemer, and his team.

Was recommended to this vet for my ferret and was no disappointed! Dr. Shemer is very knowledgeable with ferrets and talked me through all the options for my ferrets care. Was very polite and nice to talk to! Would highly recommend them also!
