Switched to them the beginning of this year and they have been great with my dog. Even in an emergency situation they got her right in and handled it.

Dr. Mataya is the best vet around. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind, and she truly cares about your pet. She takes her time and makes sure all your questions are answered. She is simply wonderful! Our family is so grateful to have her as our veterinarian. Thank you Dr. Mataya!

I had to put my dog down today, she was 18 years old. Even though she lived a great life, I still cried like a baby. With that being said, it was the most beautiful thing. They took her from me and gave her a shot. They brought her back to me in a fluffy blanket and she died in my arms 7 minutes late. Just the way i wanted it. I wanted my face to be the last face my dog saw before leaving this life and going to the next. I have been with practice for 25 years and would travel hours to bring my pet to Dr. Mataya and her staff. I love you all and thank you so much. John

I am so grateful to Chariho Animal Hospital who squeezed my dog in today after my regular vet's office closed temporarily due to a Covid scare. My dog needs an injection every 28 days for a health condition so I was panicked about possibly missing a dose, but Chariho saved the day. They were courteous and wonderful, masked up and fast. I am grateful beyond words!

Chariho Animal Hospital is the best! The level of care, compassion, and sincere professionalism I have experienced there is SUPERB! Dr Mataya and staff are clearly exceptional people with hearts of gold.

We've been going to Chariho Animal Hospital with our dog for 3yrs. They do an excellent job! The staff is fantastic and they've done great keeping my pup healthy.

The doctor is excellent. She has seen my dog many times and is right on with diagnosis. She takes the time to explain and discuss everything. Her staff is very helpful and nice. What I like they don't overbook so unlike other vet offices you sit and you sit.

They are wonderful and compassionate. I had to put my sick 19 year old cat to sleep. They made a terrible time as peaceful as you could possibly ask for.

Dr. Matyia is the best veterinarian I've ever had. She takes wonderful care of my dogs, calls to check up after problems or incidents, works with you on medications and treatments. The staff is excellent also and my dogs love to go there!! No more vet anxiety. She is a special person with a great gift for animals. I highly recommend Dr. Matyia. If I moved from Richmond, I would travel the state to bring my pets to her.
