My dog was there today for simple rabies shot got his shot bo problem then they decided he should get a exam. Then he freaked out then didn't stop or come get one of us now has two ripped open paws. At what point do you stop to let them calm down or grab the owner to calm him down.. or see if they want to continue.. especially when it's listed by them on his chart he stays calm with one of us in the room on his chart and not to take him to back on his chart

My dog Max still has an ear infection after seeing 3 doctors and spending too much money. When I went to cancel the Wellness plan Ashley was far more concerned about making sure I knew that the plan was not a total ripoff. Not about Max and his ears. Every business tries to make money just like the business of a wellness plan. The prices for every service is almost double and they try to say we are saving money. I’m not saving anything when the doctors fail to treat the ear infection after 3 times.

This place is a scam when making the appointment they tell you to take advantage of a wellness plan and your first visit will be 58$ plus the price of the wellness plan and most things should be covered but when u go to your appointment a month later they tell you you cant use the wellness plan cause its for heathly animals but the web site clearly says for the best plan for older animals with underline condition so my 110$ estimate on the phone turned into 800$ and they didnt even treat the problem we came in for. If I would of known this a month ago when I made the Appointment in would have never came and went to a real vet

I am absolutely so grateful to Kiley @ Banfield in Plainville, CT..... I without a doubt feel comfortable handling over my precious girl to her knowing she’s in good hands... - You can just tell when someone loves what they do and truly genuinely CARES ❤️ Kiley is always incredible with my Lola, but she went above and beyond for us today..... 5/2/21 ( Lola has extreme anxiety) Kiley has once again, showed her PROFESSIONALISM AND Kindness- KILEY IS NO DOUBT AN ABSOLUTE ASSET TO BANFIELD ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars

Banfield Pet hospital has always been there for me and my pet. The MD's are good. Front staff on the other hand in particular a girl named Ashley was very unprofessional and rude when I asked her about pricing and the office visit fee. She proceeded to state that I wasn't on a wellness plan. She embarrassed me by being loud and vocal about my personal situation. Banfield's should be more upfront about pricing before any services are performed.

Cheaper prices but definitely a production line vet tech I spoke to was very nice and competent and courteous but my appointment was for 4 pm and 7 others with dogs were there. They must book every 10 minutes

Every time I go in there is a problem. Customer service is lost on volume. The manager is really trying but there is no consistency with place. Multiple times in the past year I’ve had to wait unusually long periods of time while there with too many issues from the revolving staff. It’s time I found another option and support a local Vet rather than this corporate entity that is lost with customer service.

I always go to Banfield for my dogs. I never been to the one in Plainville before. Let me start by saying the staff is so polite. From the girl in the front desk to the nurse to the vet. They let me know everything that was going on, the options, the cost up front. Sadly, I had to put my dog to sleep but these guys were so compassionate, so caring so loving. Putting your animal to sleep is never easy but these guys made me feel at ease, made me feel like it was the best decision, and were so compassionate. Banfield is the place to go for your pets. Thank you to everyone at Banfield. You guys are what every vet and vet hospital should be. Thank you!

Schedule an appointment 2 months ago to update the shots on my dog. Is understandable that the whole system was backed up with appointments after the pandemic. Call in today to confirm the appointment day and the person said they had called me to reschedule to November but couldn’t reach me because my phone number was disconnected. Very unprofessional. I wasted 2 months waiting for them to now have to wait another 3 months. They probably even dial a wrong number. Since my number is active for Past 10 years. Won’t be coming back

My puppy had her first appointment at Banfield 12.15.2020. While gathering all of the information to email to banfield (Yes, I should have been prepared but wasn’t) the tech was giving me information and pricing on the wellness plans. I told the tech to give me a second because I was distracted gathering the items requested. They took my puppy to the back, and the game of messenger began. The tech came out multiple times with suggested diagnostic procedures that they would like to perform because of a concern I was having with my puppy. When asked to speak to the doctor, I was told to relay the message through the tech. How is it that you are trying to sell me a product (the wellness package) and I CANNOT speak to the doctor. The tech said due to social distancing, I CANNOT speak to the doctor, but they can get the doctor on the phone. Meanwhile, where social distancing at the desk with the plexiglass in front. How do I even know if the doctor performed an examination on my puppy, if they said they can get the doctor on the phone. I did not get the consultation that I was supposed to get and I do not know if an exam was actually performed on my puppy. I had many questions for the doctor and I could NOT ask any of them to the doctor. I wanted to know the pros and cons of spaying vs. not spaying, which I asked the tech and never got an answer. Obviously I can search online for that, but having some assurance from a doctor would have been great.

Just don't go here. Go to a real clinic. Their Wellness plan is a joke. Always finding ways to charge you for something. Pretty rough with my pet infront of me. Can only imagine how they get treated in the back. Any question you have is blocked by a payway. I'm tired of going back and forth with them. I want the best for my pet and this place isn't it. (Do not respond to this review telling me to call some place. I'm done with Banfield.)

First rate professionalism and worked with me to make sure the cost weren't too high when my big boy was having urinary tract infection issues. They're always very professional

Completely incompetent. Would never recommend. If you live your pet do not take them here. They do care it’s a money making venture only. So many better options out there. Please don’t go.

Had a great experience yesterday at this veterinary. My 17 week old puppy went in for her first visit there. Everyone was pleasant and attentive, all my questions answered. I left with a good understanding of services they offer for my little girl, Ivy.

This is the only place that my dog will go to and she loves all the crew that's there. They make sure that your pet is safe and the prices are fair. It's inside PetSmart which is great because I could buy a treat for my dog after our visit. I'd highly recommend this place for your furry friend.

We were about 10 minutes late to our appointment due to an accident on the road and the lady working at the counter, Debbie, told us we would have to reschedule. Our small dog has a huge lump in his mouth that has been bleeding and he cannot eat, and he is constantly in pain. We drove an hour to get there. She told us she would have someone come out and look at it quickly but she didn't. We said we would wait and she blaintly ignored us. She was very rude when I asked what I could do to make my dog comfortable. I asked how long she had been a vet tech and she said 35 years, but she couldn't recommend anything to make him more comfortable. VERY DISAPPOINTED. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. I will not ever go back to them or recommend them to someone else.

I had a great experience with my Siamese. The check up was thorough and vetinarian Dunipace made sure all of our questions were answered with a smile.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Where do I even begin? My dog started throwing up on a Tuesday. After 2 or 3 days of this I tried to make an appt a few times and it was impossible to get him in until that Saturday. By this time it had been 4/5 days of vomiting (only) and no appetite whatsoever, however he was drinking. On Saturday I do a drop off appt. By the end of the day I get a call that he’s ready for pick up, that they did a comprehensive exam and they feel it is a stomach bug and he should be better soon. They also had done labs and all looked well. This made me feel a little better. They prescribed some anti nausea meds and I wanna say like a probiotic. That cost me around $50. I take him home and give him his meds and by nighttime he’s no longer drinking and is barely moving. I was assured a million times over, over the phone and in person, not to worry bc they pretty certain it was just a stomach bug. By Sunday night I’m basically giving him syringes of pedialyte so he won’t dehydrate. I call and I am able to get an appt for Monday. I drop him off Monday and by days end the vet tells me my dog is not well, he’s dying and I should get him seen by vet ER for possible ultrasound. She said she checked his bloodwork and his RBC dropped drastically and she’s certain he has an internal bleed and would basically not make it beyond the end of the week. At this point I’m a hot mess! It was 7pm already! Let me not forget that I got there and waited 1 hr to see the vet for her to tell me this!!! So mind you, earlier in the day I called to see if I could upgrade my plan to include x rays. The dr tells me no bc they do not upgrade plans for dogs that are basically on death bed and also he really should get an ultrasound and that’s not included in the plan anyway! ???? I told her I had called the corporate office and they had told me I could upgrade even after telling them what could possibly be wrong with my pet. She said another Banfield might, but she wouldn’t do it there! So she’s basically sending my dog to die at home! I was livid and felt like they dropped the ball somewhere. How does my dog go from stomach bug to dying in a matter of days while in a vets care?! She even tells me they do put dogs down if I decided to do so. Offered to make an appt for me for that. I tell her no, I would call back if anything. She wishes me well and offers me a hug!!! Like no thanks lotso the bear! I paid $80 and take my dog home to cry my eyes out. Well by Tuesday and after calling around I decide I need a second opinion. Well let’s just say that was the best thing I could have ever done. My dog is alive and recovering. The whole time it was an obstruction in his stomach and intestine! Something that was discovered through a simple X-ray. Something that could’ve been discovered the first time I even took him to the damn vet. It saddens me and scares to me think how many other people they have done this to?! How many innocent pets have died bc they said the dog wouldn’t make it. They dropped the ball with my pet and they were harsh, cold hearted and callous! They need further training and schooling, not only with animals, but with human touch as well. I would think if you go into this profession it’s bc you sincerely care for animals and care to make difference. I will never take my pet to this Banfield again!!! And I will certainly tell all my friends and family about my experience so this doesn’t ever happen to them.

Staff is always so friendly and helpful. My dog loves going to see them, even if we are just shopping in the store, he has to always run in back first to see everyone. Indigo the vet tech is awesome, Gravy is always looking for her when we arrive and jumps in her arms when he sees her.

I would not recommend this so called pet hospital to anyone!! We were treated so disrespectful, having had an issue with medication, and banfield was called numerous times, they didn't even return calls and never followed thru, with what they said, they were going to do. I am now with a great vet place, who has helped us and beyond!!!! .....And when another family member came in with their dog, needed immediate attention to the dog, was turned away, they didn't even take a look at the poor thing, saying they were afraid of getting bit, uh hello, I thought you were a vet place, I'snt that your job!! Very very unprofessional, no compassion at all !! I will NEVER recommend this place!!

After having concerns about my dog to the point where we thought he needed an immediate vet appointment, we decided to call around to find the best vet for us. In then end we chose Banfield of Plainville because they could take us within two hours. When we got there, the front desk staff, Kylie, I think was her name, was very happy and helpful. She helped us set up a profile for my dog and get him ready to be seen. When we actually got him in the room, they went over our options and the prices of each. They asked us how much money we had to spend and they worked with us! I am so grateful they were willing to work with us as much as they did. They gave my dog some xrays and told us good news and said we could come back tomorrow (as it was payday and we would have more money and he was in no immediate danger for the night) for blood work to rule out more things. I dropoed him off the next day and was told they would call with updates and when he was ready to go. They called around 12, (we dropped him off at 9, we had no rush, they have other clients after all) and told us he was doing well and that they wanted to add an additional test to the roster. They asked me if the cost would be okay, and again assured me he is doing just fine. Then a couple hours later, the vet called me and gave me the complete rundown of what he found. My dog is a very dramatic dog (the breed in general is) and he was very worked up just going to the vet. But the vet took him to a small private, quiet room for examination away from the noise of the vet. We initially thought he had some sort of stomach/intestine/bowel issue, but the vet actually found it was a back issue! We were not expecting it at all but I was so grateful that he was so thorough and didn't stop when the dogs tests all came back more than normal. He was able to locate the root cause, and gave us a whole treatment plan to fix it. he even caught something we weren't looking for and assured us it was nothing to worry about, we just need to monitor. I am so grateful for the whole facility and for getting the answers we needed with such depth and caring and concern for my dog. They really helped us out when we were scared and stressed and we will be back!

The staff except one are extreamly rude, never have appointments and put you on hold for extended amounts of time every time you call. My dog has the wellness plan and still if there is an issue they can’t get her in for over a month. It’s literally the Walmart of veterinary medicine. Manchester and North Haven are polite, prompt, and rensurring. I now drive 40 minutes vs 10 to take my dog to the vet just to avoid Plainville. Brutal dealing with them. Tatianna especially is rude and unhelpful every time.

Banfield has always been so great with our babies. Never have had any issues with anyone being rude in person or on the phone. Always helpful when I call or stop in to ask a question. Always do their best to get us in as soon as they can for a sick visit. Even when we stop in pet smart for shopping our fur babies are always acknowledged and get attention (when they are not overly busy) such great people.
