Our go to pet store in middletown. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great grooming staff.

The assistant manager, Marisa, is absolutely fantastic! She is super knowledgeable about nutrition and training. All of her recommendations have been fantastic.

I travel out of my way to go to this Petco. Staff is always helpful and friendly, it's clean and well stocked unlike some other of the chain in CT.

My one complaint is that they don’t make it easy to find chicken-free food. There are many dogs that cannot tolerate chicken, but Petco does nothing to highlight which foods fit the bill.

I was looking for a car harness which their supply was very low & prices very high.

Will take the drive to this particular Petco for my dogs grooming needs. Julie was beyond helpful and patient with my two dogs for nail trimming and she handled the busy rush so well! Definitely appreciate seeing someone with passion and love for dogs in what they do.

I sent my husband to pick up an online order, before sending him I called the store to confirm my order because they didn’t update me. During the phone call the employee was trying to dismiss me, she confirmed only one of my items but when I asked about the second she kept brushing me off. I explained I needed to let my husband know what he was picking up so he is aware. Fast forward 30 minutes later my husband arrives and I marked that he is there for curbside, he waits 20 minutes before heading in. The situation with the wait was no problem it was very understandable with staffing shortage and my husband headed in. The situation was that they told my husband that they didn’t have the item after I just spoke with them less than 30 minutes ago confirming the item was up front. They continued to tell him they didn’t see my order and he had to wait for them to repick the item. Just a very frustrating situation and I’ve had multiple experience like this with this store.

Quickly brought my order outside for curbside pickup. Employee was respectful and wore a mask.

The groomer at this location is amazing with my dog.

Love bringing my puppy in and letting him pick a toy.

I love Hannah, she is amazing and does a great job with my Zoë. Petco, please hire more qualified and experienced groomers to help her. I am only giving 3 stars because it takes so long to get an appointment with Hannah and the alternate choices are no where as good as she is. I hipe you are paying her her worth. I am exploring other options elsewhere, I may or may not come back.

Marisa, the assistant manager, was extremely helpful in helping us find the best ‘no-pull’ harness for our dog as well as anti anxiety treats. She also helped us with certain training tips and tricks! We are super thankful and appreciative!

The employees are of course nice but visiting a Petco store is literally just a waste of money. They no longer price match Chewy, which was literally why I stopped shopping on Chewy. And it seems everything they sell in the store is cheaper on their own website so you always have to have a link open from their own website with every item you plan to buy for them to price match, and if you don’t- you’re wasting money. Do the math folks, for what you spend on animal food/products- save yourself massive amounts of money and just buy at Chewy. Trust me, I always shop a local store to keep people employed but I can’t reward stupid business. The saying goes, don’t trip over dollars to save pennies.

Like many of the Petco's, the staff are all animal lovers. I got a rescue black lab/shepherd mix and brought him there to get him all tricked out! They were all very helpful, and led me to some good sales and good accessories. Definitely recommend!!
