Dr Lauren Atkins made an extremely difficult day as good as possible. It was good for both our family and pet to be at home during the process.

Today my dog Taxi was gently euthanized by Dr. Atkins at my home, in the front yard, on a soft blanket, the sun shining brightly on a windy day. Never before have I felt at peace about the death of a beloved animal. I am grateful for the patience and sympathetic understanding of Dr. Atkins and her staff.

After 13 years, it was time to put our dog to sleep. Paws for Peace was recommended to us from our Vet. The doctor came to our home and she was very kind, respectful , and had a very peaceful aura to help us through this process. She explained everything that she was going to do and what was going to happen and what to expect. The whole process from when she got to our home to when she left was roughly an hour, if not a bit less. Though having to put our dog to sleep was hard, Dr. Lauren made the whole situation much more comfortable and easier to deal with. I can't say enough how much I appreciate what she did for us and the kindness, love and understanding she showed. I highly recommend Paws for Peace if this is something you have to do. Also when our dog Max was gone, she took a clay paw print for us before she left as a kind remembrance. It was very sweet to do, and gave us something right away to have of Max. Also she took Max with her in a basket wrapped in a nice blanket very lovingly to the cremation part. All in all Paws for Peace is a blessing = God love Dr. Lauren she really is a gift to animals!

Dr. Atkins helped us through the process of saying goodbye to our dog and ending her suffering. She was kind, patient, and gave us all the time and space we needed to say goodbye. She walked us through the process ahead of time so we knew what to expect and when to expect it. I can't imagine how difficult it must be doing what she does, but what she is able to do for families is a great gift. To be able to say goodbye intimately and to give our dog her final moments at home instead of a vet's office, in peace, comfort, and happiness meant the world. Jessica, who handles the office, was also very kind, compassionate, and helpful.

My husband and I are very grateful we were able to say goodbye to our sweet boy Leo in the comfort of our own home. This is the first time we’ve had to put a pet to sleep so we had no idea what to expect. Dr. Lauren Atkins and her team explained everything thoroughly and answered all of our questions. Dr. Atkins is incredibly kind, gentle, and compassionate. She treated Leo with such love, care, and respect through the whole process. She made an extremely difficult day as smooth and peaceful as possible. I can’t thank her enough for what she does and strongly recommend her to everyone. From my first call, to my kitties passing, Dr. Atkins and her staff were kind, respectful, professional and compassionate. Thank you Dr. Atkins for offering home services to help make very sad endings a little bit easier.

I just want to say how amazing, wonderful and caring Dr.Atkins was. My little Bella went to her eternal sleep so peacefully with the gentle and compassionate nature of Dr.Atkins from the beginning to the very end when I placed her in the little cushioned lined wicker basket wrapped in her blanket, I will never forget the kindness she had shown to me and my beloved kitty.

Dr Atkins helps a tough situation seem a bit more calm with her gentle words.

When it came time for us to say goodbye to our beloved 19 year old cat, Spock, we wanted him to be able to pass peacefully and comfortably at home instead of at the vet clinic. We contacted Paws Finding Peace, but felt a little nervous since we had never met Dr. Atkins. As it turns out, we had no reason to be nervous; she was incredibly understanding, kind, and respectful, and treated Spock with such tenderness and love. It was terribly difficult for us to say goodbye, but she really made the whole event feel special and personal. Even though the price is a little higher than bringing your pet to the vet, it is worth it. I would not hesitate to use her services again in the future.

Dr. Atkins provided my pet with a warm and loving experience in her last moments of her life. Dr. Atkins was compassionate in every step of the process, both with my cat and with us caregivers. The in-home visit helped to reduce the distress and suffering my pet endured in the process and Dr. Atkins welcomed and encouraged our efforts to comfort our pet. Dr. Atkins explained the process and responded to all of our questions and concerns. The complimentary paw print offers a very warm touch to the whole process.

Paws Finding Peace provided us with the opportunity for a final moment, a final ritual, with both of our beloved pets. It was beyond meaningful for us and a welcome closure to our lives together.

I could have never have asked for my best friend go to the other side with such dignity and Grace. Doctor Atkins is a wonderful wonderful veterinarian. I can't explain in words what she did for me and my best friend. Being at home and her process was so elating and spiritual that I would recommend her services over ever going to affected areas office ever again. Thank you again Dr Atkins. And actually today she will be bringing her back to me.

A very special service. We have had the unfortunate need to call on Dr. Atkins three times in the last year and each time she has made the very difficult process of saying goodbye to our pets a positive experience. She is warm and caring and never rushes the process. We had never done at home euthanasia before, but when the time comes again, I would choose Dr. Atkins again. After the euthanasia, Dr. Atkins communicates with your veterinarian and takes care of the cremation and return of your pet.

Dr. Atkins was incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate with our family and our dog. She made a tough situation better. I could not imagine having to go through this without her.

Dr. Atkins was kind and compassionate during an incredibly painful time for us. Our young cat was diagnosed with lymphoma and was in severe pain. Throughout the entire process, she was patient and calm, speaking soothingly to our beloved pet. Our cat was very afraid of the vet so it was such a privilege for all of us to share her final moments in the comfort of our home.

Professional, caring and organized. Really appreciated the texts leading up to the doctor’s visit so we knew to begin preparing the place. The ability to do this procedure at home makes a huge and positive difference.

Dr. Atkins is absolutely amazing. I will be forever grateful for her. Our pup really needed attention, and late on Friday she came with no hesitation to help.
