Very disappointed how they treated my dog

I have been bringing my dog to day camp, once a week. He's looking much happier. He had a buddy of 12 years that had to be put down, he was depressed. This is the best!

Couldn't find many employees to help but selection was great!

This place is full of helpful people who shared our joy with our newly adopted dog.

Been bringing my mini man, Deebo, here since he was 3 months old first for the puppy play dates then for doggy day camp and he LOVES IT! He gets so excited when we wake up early (I swear he knows when it's Thursday) and will start to whine when we pull up. Then he drags me all the way to the back cuz he knows exactly where to go ???? These guys are wonderful with him. He always comes back exhausted and I love that they stress good manners playing with other dogs. Seriously, if you have a dog that is hard to exercise or find it difficult to get the right amount of stimulation for them, bring them here. It means you're in my boat and you'll be glad you did ????

My family recently purchased a fish tank kit which included a 125 gallon tank and stand. We had the tank filled for three weeks when the seal failed and we had 70 gallons of water leak all over our living room. Since we purchased the tank over a month ago I wasn’t sure how Petsmart would deal with the situation. We could not be more impressed. During one visit I called and spoke to Selena in customer service. She was wonderful and I really felt she cared. In the store Tony in aquatics and Brie helped us as well. They were professional, polite, sympathetic and once again made me feel like they cared. They took care of us and I was able to return the defective tank and now ruined base snd receive a full refund. Bravo Petsmart and thank you. The Miller family

My dog had to be shaved and they cut it painfully short in some areas even cutting his skin a little. Overpriced for the service.

Just got our own pet tortoise. Asked for advice on care and what kind of lamp she would need. Staff was amazingly helpful in showing me specifically the kinds of lights i need fod the size of tank we have. Great service and great people

Do NOT board your dog here!!! The employees just sit around and chat. I over heard them talking badly about other employees and customers. The employees are petty and rude.

Nice store for pet supplies.

My dog left the PetsHotel with a wound on his nose. I was told that it may have been him nudging on the door of his kennel room. This is not ok, and I would not leave me dog here because he may harm himself with his surroundings. Update: the pets hotel manager, Tracy, called me a day after posting this review apologizing for what happened. I appreciated the call. I hope that the next time i leave my dog here he doesn’t leave with a wound on his nose.

This place has to have the most helpful bunch of gals in the biz. Go here. Seriously. My baby sugar sure loves her cookies and I love bringing her to the store with me. I cant wait to come back and feel the love. Lol. But seriously? They really are super nice. If you have a pet and need supplies....go here.

Chaney, is the best groomer in Connecticut, she always knows what to do with my dog, and always has my dog coming out looking the best she ever looks. I’ve tried other groomers but no one compares to her. Petsmart in East Hartford has the best groomers around.

Great place to pamper your lup

I had an appointment for my dog Noel born 2007 The last two times I brought him there for a wash groom and nails Excuse oh we can’t cut him he was stressed out Today I brought him there and they said same thing and Told me not to bring him. It’s to his best interest Why are they still open Did have a problem paying but why? I was very heart broken

I had to pick up item for my dog I was not feeling well and the sales assistant in case you were extremely helpful to assist me on what I needed to purchase & gave me several options. I have a large dog & was not sure the product would fit & they said if it does not fit to please return. Extremely helpful ask me if I had any questions confirm my contract information & even said they hoped I felt better!

WARNING!!! I'm not one to write reviews at all but I felt that I had to this time. I wanted to let people know about the type of sneaky and unprofessional person the store manager is. Up until last December 2015, I've been taken my dog for grooming at the East Hartford Petsmart location. The groomer my dog had for years suddenly left before Christmas so I had to get someone else to bathe my dog. I called the store and asked for permission to book my dog with an experienced groomer that has worked there for years (apparently GROOMERS don't bathe dogs per Petsmart Policy). Once I got the approval from the assistance manager, I got my dog to the location for a bath and that's when the nightmare began. First, they couldn't check me in because the store manager had placed a restriction on the computer so she had to be contacted ONCE I got there. Secondly, the person doing the check in was not only rude but very unpleasant (tattoos and bad attitude). Third, once the manager came in to remove the restriction so I can be checked- in, she was also very rude and had a huge attitude with me almost as if reprimanding me for requesting a particular groomer. I finally got to leave my dog for grooming. When the time came to pick my dog up, I noticed that he was shrivering and very scared. He just wanted to get out of there asap. Though his behavior made me wonder what could had happened, I had to get back to work and left without saying anything. Later on that day, I called and asked to speak to the groomer I had requested for my dog. She assured me that she was NOT able to bathe my dog per the store manager's orders. She told me that the person that ended up bathing my dog was the tattooed person that checked me in -the one with the big attitude. I immediately contacted the corporate offices for Petsmart and filed a complaint against the store manager and the way I was treated. I also made a statement about my dog's behavior at the time of pick up. I was told that the issue would be brought to the store manager's attention but the manager that contacted me about the issue was the hotel for dog's manager..duh!! . Nothing was ever resolved. The good thing is that I found a better place for my dog to get groomed. They're really nice and honestly care about any Pet you bring to them. The place is called The Doggie Castle in Cromwell, CT. CHECK IT OUT :)

They always greet me when I get there and they may not always have crickets but they have everything else I may need or be looking for. Also is in a nice area with food stores clothing store etc

This was my 1st visit to PetSmart grooming. I don’t do reviews but felt obligated to do so for one particular reason, well, person. I stopped by this location for a new toy for our 2 goldendoodles at home. I couldn’t find anything I really liked for the pups, I ended up noticing an employee interacting with a customer and their dog. I just stood there and watched…the young woman was so caring and seemed to know a lot about dogs, the customer looked so happy to talk with this girl. I introduced myself, the employee works in grooming. After talking, I felt comfortable with the employee and booked an appt for one of my goldendoodles. Needless to say, our other doodle is booked with the groomer next month. I have never felt like I found our dogs perfect fit for a groomer until now and never knew it would be at petsmart. Thank you Kelly G. You have changed my opinion about petsmart, you did a beautiful haircut on our dog and your energy is magnetic. You have a customer for life with us! ???? I don’t like sharing but couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t recommend Kelly G at Petsmart. We can’t thank you enough for being you, you’re a gem. ????????

WARNING!!!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR WEBSITE!!!!!!!!! They're online shopping experience is the worst ever!!!!! I made a purchase through the East Hartford website for a pair of grooming clippers. It said there was 3 left of the item. It routed me to a survey before the purchase was complete. I filled out I was happy. 1 hour after purchase was complete, for sameday delivery, my order was cancelled, after my bank was charged mind you. They did refund my money, but the woman I talked to from customer service said that because of the volume they deal with that the website is never up to date! Walmart has way more volume and their website works just fine I told her. No I will never order from here again. Why would I? There is a 90% chance they dont have the item and they make the purchase go through anyways. WORST ONLINE PURCHASE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!
