I dealt with both Carla and Amanda over the phone to get my new rescue dog a heart worm prescription. They were so friendly, helpful, and prompt. I know they’re busy there but they still made my dog a priority. Thank you!

I brought my dog Draco in for his nail trim. When the vet tech brought him out I checked his nails and he was bleeding above his thumb. When I asked her what happened she lied saying it was from his splint and it was already there. The cut looks like it had just happened and I know he did not have it before he went in. He does wear a splint but it’s made out of foam and could not possibly cut him. She lied to my face instead of admitting that they cut him with the tool they used on his nails. I will never bring my dog to this place again.

They are by far the best I've been too! I was referred to them because I was told someone at this clinic had experience with large breed dogs.. I came from an unfriendly experience from another vet.. and was very hesitant because I have two large dogs who have anxiety.. I was greeted with Kat! She has been amazing with my dogs! The vets and staff treat my dog as if they are one of thier own.. always works with my work schedule!

8/21/21 Excellent vet! The best I have found; the doctors as well as the techs are caring and take the time to listen and speak with you. The follow-up is wonderful too. Both my 11 year-old and 2 year-old kitties come out feeling calm -- not upset like they have from other experiences. I especially love that there not any extra charges or need for tests. Who calls or texts to find out how your pet is the next day??? VCA Northside does. With Covid, one day the doctor came out to my car and spent 30 minutes talking to me to explain my concerns about my new rescue cat. Other times I have spent from 10-20 minutes on the phone with the doctor asking questions and then following up after the check-up or visit. Prices are great. I won't go anywhere else and recommend them to everyone I know.

My dog of 11 years went in for a dental cleaning and for four days now he’s had diarrhea and they tell me they’re not responsible, I called them they take no responsibility and they want to send me to the emergency room, do not take your pet here very unprofessional and if anything happens to your pet they don’t take responsibility!!!

I'm upset because I pay for a plan for a year of $ 74 a month, call today to ask when the plan expires, the secretary replied that today, July 6, I told her to check well that I received a text and it expires on July 9 and that I need an appointment. Because my dog had trouble walking and with pain in his left leg, he answered me that it is true, my plan expires on July 9, but that I could not make an appointment for my dog, even for an emergency being a client for a year because all the doctors were In surgery today and tomorrow I mean there is no mercy for my dog's pain and having a plan that is supposed to cover an appointment even more if it is pain and discomfort to walk, that Amanda answered me

I made an appointment to get my new puppy examined. The vet i spoke to spent the whole time trying to sell me on a monthly wellness plan. Felt very odd that was a priority to discuss instead of the dog first. Seemed like they care more about money than your pet. This was also my first visit and I was told I would need to come back because he was not ready for a booster shot yet and needed to supply a stool sample. I feel like this could have been avoided if I was told prior to making the appointment. The vet said he was unaware of the shots my dog had previously had but I would think a competent organization would ask these questions up front and mention the need to bring a stool sample instead of trying to get me to come in again in 10 days and charge me for another visit. It took one appointment to realize this is not the vet for me and I would recommend looking elsewhere to anyone considering.

Last week our dog wasn’t feeling herself and was acting strange. Amanda was able to get us in because of a cancellation and the doctor was able to diagnose our dog without running a lot of tests and sent us to Newtown for emergency surgery that saved our dog. It is amazing how at ease the team at VCA made us feel. It isn’t easy to have to drop your pet off at the door but VCA’s communication throughout the appointment was great! They called ahead to Newtown and when we arrived there was someone waiting for us to make the process less stressful. I highly recommend VCA!!!

I cannot recommend this practice enough. After waking up to an emergency with my pet snake Lily there were not many veterinarians we could turn to for help. From the moment I connected with VCA on the phone I felt at ease. Every single staff member was kind, informative and understanding. Unfortunately, we ended up having to put Lily to sleep. The Dr’s commitment to understanding the issue and time she took to research possible alternatives made us feel confident that decision was in our pets best interest. I have never seen anyone treat a snake with such compassion and care. This team is truly special. Thank you for your gentle words during a difficult time, helping to put our hearts at ease and above all else treating our pet snake with the same level of respect you would give any other living creature.

Last month we needed to put our 17 yr old cat to sleep. The whole family was present to say goodbye. The staff members were so compassionate and did such a good job. We were all grateful for the support in the midst of our sadness. Thank you!

The staff here is always super accommodating and amazing with our two dogs. Amanda is super helpful and polite whenever we call and need to get our dogs in for last minute situations. Christina helped to care for our dogs while boarding them for a few days while we went out of town and made it a great experience for all of us

I need to post now about how wonderful the staff at Northside VCA animal hospital are. Chrystal went above and beyond to comfort me in a time of vulnerability and sadness. She was with me every step of the way when I had to put my precious dog to sleep. Dr. Ravich is kind and compassionate. She explained the process and they were so caring. They gave my precious 16 year old dog the dignity and grace he deserved while holding my hand the whole time. I will forever be thankful to them. If you live in Danbury this is the place to take your pet. Thank you Chrystal and Dr. Ravich. ❤️ The King Family

We have four dogs (four dogs can cost a lot of money for regular checkup & dental routine), today I was shopping around for dental cleaning routine -cost... I called, asked few questions, the person who answered the phone at the VCA was very rude. (It seems she doesn't want to be bother by my phone call). I asked her few question, she just told me cost of dental cleaning for a dog $700 to $1000 (it is lot of money, since we have four dogs ), so I asked her little more question, instead of getting answer...she was keep repeating herself $700 to $1000 ... :- I think as a customer, when we want to spend $1,000s dollars of money, we deserve to ask few questions......: Very Unhappy with their service!

One of my two cats was "showing signs of sickness" throughout my home (blood in the urine). Not knowing what to do, I stopped by VCA in Danbury yesterday since they provide exceptional care for my dogs. Crystal, who greeted me when I walked in, answered all of my questions and made me feel much more at ease. Even though other customers were arriving, she never made me feel rushed. She multi-tasked with ease was really caring and scheduled an appointment for us to return at 4PM. At 4PM, Amanda, one of the vet techs, met me at the door. She assisted me with the cats and immediately showed me to an examining room where I was met by Shelly and Evan. As it turns out, Evan manages this location but he knew I was anxious about the cats so he stayed in the room during the exam and assisted. That decision alone exceeded any expectations that I had. After the vitals were taken, there was a small wait for the doctor during which Amanda and Michelle came into the examining room and spent time petting (and talking to!) the cats. They were both extremely professional, loving and very compassionate. Within a few minutes, Dr. Hernandez identified which cat was sick and provided the diagnosis (stones in the bladder). She explained my options and knowing I had recently been laid off, made suggestions that would be financially viable. Michele (the CVT technician) showed me how to administer the medication/pills (twice) and even let me videotape it. Upon "check-out", I was advised that the examination fees had been waived and was given several sample bags of the "special diet" food as well as toys for the cats. I am so appreciative of the team at VCA in Danbury. From the front desk - to each of the techs - and the doctors, it's a symphony of love. They are hands down my provider of choice for both cats and dogs.

My experience at this Animal Hospital was great considering the circumstance for why I went. I called them one moring telling them that I had a very sick chicken that needed to be put down (apparently it is very hard to find hospitals that will help chickens). This hospital was able to see me a couple hours after my phone call. When arrived they were very kind, I wish I could remember the vet's name, I want to say Michelle and there was a man who was helping her as well. They treated Tiny with care. The environment was very calming and peaceful. My Tiny was in good hands. They made a claw print of Tiny's foot, which I thought was sweet considering she was a chicken. They helped carry Tiny to my car so I could bring her home after. After a week, they sent me a sympathy card to my house and all the staff members wrote sweet messages. I'm very happy and thankful for their help. Thank you so much everyone.

My family has used this veterinary hospital for over 30 years. We have lost 4 family members in this time. All our dogs lived long healthy lives. I don't recall ever waiting more than 20 minutes for service. Although expensive, I have complete trust in their service and guidance.
