Great staff! I had an emergency and they could fit me in that day. I know the pandemic has hit all vets hard so I was appreciative of the service.

Showed me another cat's X-ray to scam me: Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but I must be honest. the good thing is that this occurred years ago when the Senior was around (don't know if he still is), haven't been to Danbury in years and I hope that things are better with the successor running the business. Back then, I brought my cat in (pulmonary issue), this guy (the old guy running the place) went to the extent of showing me an X-ray belonging to another cat which showed an obstruction telling me that she must've eaten a piece of fabric and that I didn't notice, and that it needed to be removed ASAP, pulled the scare tactics, quoted the procedure, over-night stay, etc. But I knew my cat really well (she was the smartest cat that I ever had) and I just knew that she wouldn't just eat a piece of fabric and it just didn;t make sense according to the symptoms that I had taken her in for. Had a second look else where and it was all a scam and bull. That day he also took rectal temperature and my cat let out a very noticeable painful meow. When I took her to the other Vet's, my cat didn't even react when they did the same procedure. Shortly there after, I moved out of Danbury and tried to tell a friend who took her pets there but she covered her ears refusing to hear because they were the only clinic she could afford. True story, have no beef with anyone there, don't even remember their name but will never forget this incident, just sharing this again so that people realize that they may be taken advantage of when scare tactics are used, when it sounds fishy, go for a second opinion. For the people in charge now, do right by people, dishonesty catches up with you. You can be great by being good, greed only pays off temporarilty and partially.

We've taken our 2 dogs and 2 cats here for years. Their passion and compassion for our animals and us is what makes them the best around!

I have 2 dogs and plumtrees have always taken great care of them. My youngest puppy had a bad pneumonia at 3 months old and she was not going to make if it wasn’t for the Plumtrees vets.

We have been taking our 2 rescue dogs to Plumtrees for about 2 years now and before that our cat before she passed away. Dr Baff is patient and gentle with our "terrified' friends and takes the time to try to calm them and make them feel better. The staff is accommodating and friendly. Would recommend.

We started at Plumtrees several years ago after trying out a few other vets in the area. At the time we had just one dog, with a variety of health issues. We have since added a cat (rescued by Plumtrees) and a puppy. They are incredibly attentive & thorough, but also realistic in their approach to ensure the simplest (and most affordable options) are considered first. We trust them implicitly and know we are in good hands. We first considered a move after our sweet and gentle but nervous dog was muzzled and roughly handled at a prior local vet. The same dog wags her tail and is at ease with the Plumtrees staff. When we wanted to add a kitten to the mix, they not only gave us a kitten whose personality fit the bill, but assisted in the trial process for nearly an hour to ensure our dog would acclimate safely. We could not be happier with our care. We have seen Dr. Goldstein and Dr. Baff and genuinely feel the vet techs love their job and our animals. 20/10 recommend.

All of the staff at Plumtrees Animal hospital are so sweet, knowledgeable, and make me feel so safe and confident when it comes to taking care of my animals. The environment is clean, and friendly. I wouldn’t want to take them anywhere else. Highly recommend!

I have taken my two dogs here for the past couple of years. During covid, I really struggled because one of my dogs gets very nervous around people and I knew curbside would be hard for her to go inside without me so I waited and waited. Dr. Baff offered me the option for an outdoor visit for her. Him and his vet tech that helped him out went above and beyond to help make the process easiest for me and for her! They were so patient and kind. I definitely would recommend Dr. Baff to anyone looking for quality pet care, he always puts his crazy dog mom’s mind to ease!

Unfortunately, 2 out of 3 encounters with this hospital were very stressful and unpleasant. Yesterday, we called in and asked for the renewal of a heartworm medication my dog was put on by another vet. However, we were told that they could not renew it because we needed to schedule a physical exam and a blood test before. This makes no sense considering he was already on the medication, which he was taking every month, not skipping any dose. But what does make sense is that their priority is to suck as much money from their clients as possible requiring these unnecessary steps. Recently, we also used their services to do a physical exam on another dog and to fill the forms required for the dog’s travel. In regards to the physical, it was done extraordinarily shallowly, the doctor did not even bother commenting on the dental issues of my dog proposing some new solutions, which we have not tried. He just said that everything was fine, which clearly was not the case in regards to his oral health. I know his oral health issues are not a restriction for his travel but I paid for a regular check up and expected it as well. I was also not properly scheduled by the receptionist who did not allow the doctor the right amount of time to fill out 2 forms with 3 questions on them. The doctor felt very overwhelmed by the 2 forms and argued for almost an hour how he could not do it right there, and we needed to come back another day to get them (which meant I had to take time off work). Eventually, after extensive convincing, them not properly communicating with us, being quite rude and making more mistakes than anyone could ever imagine we got the forms the same day (at around 5:00pm when our appointment was before 10:00am). My dogs travelled before, and vets always filled all the required forms during the appointments. Certainly searching for a more attentive, customer-oriented and less overwhelmed and money-seeking vet.

They are basically an expensive pet pharmacy. My dog was hurt and he had an infection. Instead of treating the underlying problem or really looking for it they just treated the infection.. I would not recommend them.

I recently rescued a neglected young male cat from an awful situation and contacted Plumtrees Animal Hospital right away with my concerns about him. The receptionists and techs were so very understanding and compassionate to Puma and made his appointment right away. The techs and receptionists were very welcoming and thorough when we arrived and getting Puma checked in. The Veterinarian was phenomenal! He explained all Puma’s ailments and how to treat it and treated everything that day, he was very responsive and listened carefully and addressed all of my concerns. Thanks to Plumtrees Puma is doing so much better and is coming out of shyness more and more each day. Thanks so Plumtrees he has a great start to the happy life that he so desperately deserved. Thank you!

Very unhappy. Brought my 10month old puppy to be checked for fleas. Was told he was due for several shots. Due to covid I could not be inside. I was then informed the bill was $500. They returned my puppy and I immediately notice he was not himself. Once at the house i noticed he was pain pain hardly walking, seconds later he vomited big chunks everywhere. I called the vet to see if this was normal. They said No and to bring him back. As I sit nervously outside they call me and say it's another $60 for the benadryl he was given, they do not which medication he reacted badly to since they gave him several shots at once. I was never informed of any side effects and I was not informed I'd be charged further for bringing him back. I now have to monitor him for the rest of the week to make sure he does not worsen. Vet stated for an additional charge every visit he will need benadryl since they do not know which one he is allergic to. Highly dissapointed. Atleast he tested negative for fleas.

My first impression from Plumtrees Animal Hospital was made when I came with a friend to bring her cat for an anual exame. I was very happy with the care they have provided to her cat that I chose them to take care of my new pet dog. They are very professional, they offer good price for their services, they’re responsive and most of all they show a lot care for my pet! I’m really satisfied!

Plumtrees Animal Hospital has been our veterinary of choice for many years. Recently our family cat of some 17 years suffered a medical emergency. Given the COVID-19 epidemic I was apprehensive that they may not be available to care for him. My concerns were completely unfounded as from the moment I called, the level of caring and professionalism extended by the receptionist and throughout our two day encounter with Dr. Baff and other Plumtrees staff members totally addressed my fears. An appointment was quickly arranged and our pet was able to obtain the necessary medical assessment and care while social distancing mandated by the pandemic was maintained for myself and the staff. I am very pleased to say, emphatically, that my most recent experience with Plumtrees Animal Hospital met all my expectations. I strongly recommend them to anyone seeking professional care for their pet.

The office staff, technicians and vets are all wonderful. Our cats receive outstanding veterinary care from Plumtrees. All three vets have treated our cats. I have the utmost trust in Doctors Baff, Goldstein and Kotwal. Plumtrees has my highest recommendation.

Plum trees, I'm telling ya if the fruit Adam and Eve ate were different it would be a plum and it would be from THIS sour tree. I don't know about the doctors because I didn't get that far but the staff are miserable humans. How can you be so rude working where the happiest most cutest creatures go? I'm disgusted and I was warned by people already not to go there. I should have listened. I'd give a -5 stars if I could, simply for the terrible front desk staff there. VERY unprofessional I don't care how stressed you are NEVER mistreat a customer our pets are our life if we're there in the first place we are probably already upset cause our little ones aren't well so don't add on to the stress, assure us your there to help. Y'all should do a spring cleaning there with your front desk their a bunch of rotten plums.

I recently started coming to Plumtrees Animal Hospital. I left my other vet due to an overwhelming feeling of being taken advantage of ($$$). The vets, Tech's and staff here are friendly and take the time to let me know what they would do in a scenario and what is necessary to keep my pets healthy. Our bank account is streched these days and we don't have the extra money to go above and beyond. PAH gets this and works with me to figure out my best options. Bottom line --- I feel like they are on my side.

I've been bringing my beloved pets to Plumtrees Animal Hospital for over 30 years. I started with Dr Fredrick Baff in 1988 with my baby Chocolate Lab and he lovingly cared for her over her entire life. He helped me through her cancer diagnosis at 9 yrs old and his plan of treatment cured her cancer and she lived a happy life until she was 14. I get the same knowledgeable and kind services from his son, Dr Wesley B and Dr Lauren Goldstein and the courteous vet techs and office staff. I've received excellent care from routine visits to emergency calls and treatment. Over 30 years they have cared for my 4 dogs, a parrot, a wild bird in distress, stray dogs that I found wandering and my neighbors cat. I'm so grateful to have them currently taking care of my 15 year old Springer Spaniel. If you love your pet, this is the place to bring them.
