I took my 1 year old cat, Sammy, in for his first nail trim. I was so nervous because he was mistreated prior to him joing our home. The owner was a dream come true. She made him( and me) feel so comfortable. She was done whitin 3-4 minutes! I will be going there for the rest of his long life!

I love this place she is so welcoming and very gentle. I highly recommend this place to everyone! A++++

They do a very good job

I popped in at Yankee pet because my usual groomer was closed and my boy desperately needed a nail trim. It was 15 minutes before close and the lady who greeted me was extremely friendly and spent quite a bit of time getting my boy used to her and to the place. This was amazingly appreciated. When it came time to get him up on the table, he was no trouble and exhibited no fear. She done a really good job getting him used to her. When she trimmed his nails she didn't use a Dremel tool. She used a large file. It did a good job but not as good as when the Dremel is used. Because the experience was such a positive one, we will be going back.

The staff there are very friendly & very compassionate to the animals they groom, feel very comfortable taking my dog there, been other places, & this is my number #1 pick????????????????????????❤

I brought my cat in because of a mat on her neck. We received prompt attention and the mat was removed to reveal an irritation. The tech advised putting a topical balm on it to help. My cat is doing very well now.

Previously I would have given them 4 and possibly even 5 stars because they were always very good with my border collie mix. However, I can not even get them to return a call. Granted I am calling from an out-of-state number but it is the same number I have used with them. They could not be bothered to return any of the messages I left, and I always leave my number twice and I stated I had used them before and requested a call back to set up an appointment for my current dog. Truly disappointed in them. Sadly, after using only them and being their client for 8 years (possibly longer (geez, time flies)), I am now forced to find a new groomer.

They were friendly and most of all good to my dog! I took her in from an abusive home. She is a Rat-Terrier Chihuahua. Beautiful lovable dog after all shes been thru! They treated her soo good! Gave her a medicated shampoo deep conditioning cut her nails! The whole works! AWESOME PEOPLE! AWESOME JOB! Definitely recommend and we will Definitely be back!!

My Corgi hates getting his nails clipped.I have to say this is the best and easiest one he ever had and he is 11 years old.

LOVE LOVE Yankee Pet. We have used them for the past 25 years and highly recommend them. We lived in Bristol for many years but moved to Old Lyme years ago and still use them.

Very good place for party's, volleyball, skate park, trails in woods, cookout area with grills, basketball court,separate dog park. This place has it all!

They are wonderful with pets and do a very nice groom on my dog. She's happy when I bring her in and happy to go! I have had others that were not so nice to the animals and I wouldn't take her back. Parking can be difficult when several people arrive for dropoff or pickup.

My 13 year old Persian cat had a few mats on both sides of his fur, that I couldn't get off for the life of me. I could tell he was hurting and I didn't want to cut his skin open, so I called around about pricing. The woman who helped me at Yankee Pet was the absolute sweetest! I didn't have the money to get him fully shaved, and she gave me a very affordable price. I brought him right down on a Saturday, and she fixed my baby all up in a few minutes! She was very sweet to my cat and saved me lots of time and money. Highly recommended this groomer and I will certainly return!

Best nail clipping expertise in the area, hands down. Dogs can tell a lot about people... the way they handle our little girl here is the best. She is in and out in 5 minutes and they even file the nails down; not just clip. We will be repeat customers! Their kindness also goes a long way. Other local groomers need to go "back to school" for lessons in customer service.

Did a great job working with my older arthritic Beagle who was in NO MOOD FOR THIS -that day. She was wonderful, quick, and friendly with my cranky little old lady dog. Very reasonably priced too!

This store always does a great job getting our dog bathed and cleaned up. Prices are more than reasonable and the staff is extremely friendly. I won't take my dog anywhere else if I can help it.
