Turned down my boyfriend’s dog, reason be “they only want nice dogs”. Dog in question has very high anxiety when at the vet especially having his paws handled. Told him to straight up go find another vet. Barely tried to care for him, he was in for 10 mins until they gave up bc he was “too difficult”. Then also tried to charge my boyfriend for the 10 mins they had the dog in the waiting room. Unprofessional/ White collar bs. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to this hoity toity place

I spoke with one of the receptionist this morning in regards to my cats prescription refill. In a VERY rude tone, she told me that they cannot refill and that he was "way" overdue for his wellness visit, when in reality it's not for another week. This isn't the first time I've experienced this type of service from them. Looking for another vet this week.

Zero compassion . The staff is a disgrace to animals. Good bye East Shore.

This is a great team of vets, technicians and support staff, all care very much about our pets and give very high quality care, plus have other services like doggy day care, boarding and grooming. We've been going here for 35 years through five dogs (and two guinea pigs) and as the staff has evolved - the central premise of genuinely caring for the animals has been there throughout. Surprisingly (as it is going to the doctor!), our dogs have been happy to go back. I recommend them without reservation.

Dr Murray and the entire staff are kind and concerned for the well-being of the pet as well as their parent. There are no unwarranted tests or procedures and when needed everything is explained in layman terms. Best veterinarian ever!

Was my Veterinarian for 8 years for 2 dogs. Both dogs went to daycare, boarded, wellness exams, and received all of their shots and medications. Since changing ownership they have become unhelpful to medical care. When one of my dogs had an eye infection they could not find any open appointments that week for him to be seen. When he also needed a prescription refilled on a Friday I was told they do not have any doctors in on Friday or Monday so it would need to wait until Tuesday. Customer service is terrible and they do not care about building or maintaining any relationships. Do yourself a favor and find another Veterinary practice this one is awful now.

This place was absolutely amazing! Everyone was super professional and great with my puppy. He is 16wks old and it was his first visit to this vet. He was so comfortable and at home. I can't say enough good things about this place! Highly recommend if you are not happy with your current vet!

I have been a customer of East Shore vet since 2013. The office has dramatically grown since then adding a second location and more staff. I vividly remember how amazing Dr. Beres is, he always took the time to explain everything going on with my pet to me in ways I could understand. It’s harder to get an appointment with them lately but that doesn’t diminish the fact they’re a great vet. I have since moved a distance away and although I am sad to leave they referred me to a lovely vet in their place. I appreciate East Shore so much!

I typically go to the Madison location. I had a slight issue with my dogs medication and was calling for help. The women who answered was beyond rude and said “yup” “ahh huh“ for everything I was saying. Just based off her phone Attitude I can imagine how she might be in person. Very rude, unprofessional and I would never use the Branford location purely based off the one women’s lack of compassion and professionalism.

During the pandemic me and my dogs finally found are forever vet. My dog Roxy who is 13 years olds and has been afraid of the vet for most of her life. So when she went to see Dr Wood for the first time. I told him how scared she would be. When Dr Wood called me to let me know how she did he said she was excellent. I was amazed and shocked. I guess you can say that Roxy found are forever vet. The staff is so kind and nice. I would recommend East Shore Vet Hospital to everyone that has a animal.

I was immediately contacted by the owner after expressing the lack of pleasant customer service I was so use to receiving at this practice. He was very responsive , he made things right and clearly explained some of the disconnects. I am BEYOND please with his approach to the situation. Just another good thing to say about this Hospital.

I've been bringing my fur babies to this practice for over 15yrs and never once had a bad experience. Dr. Beres is hands down the best vet I've trusted in caring for my pets. His prices are very reasonable and his staff is compassionate, friendly and knowledgeable. My dogs have always been very well cared for... no complaints.

I switched to this practice on the recommendation of a friend and could not be more pleased. The staff is professional and responsive and both doctors with whom I dealt were extremely thorough. They explained everything before and after the examination and followed up when they said they would. I felt like they really cared about my dogs and their wellbeing

My family has been using East Shore Veterinary Hospital for over 30 years. We have had 2 cats within that time. The first one we had until I was about 6 years old and she was 17 years old. Our other, which we adopted 2 years after the loss of our first. My buddy since I was 8 years old, we just put down yesterday who was 16 almost 17 years old. The staff is always so caring and helpful. They were there with us through the whole process and since yesterday after we put him down, we have received 3 calls (2 from the doctors we see, 1 from Marge) all calling to say sorry. Today, we received a flower arrangement from them as well. This has been the hardest time for our family but East Shore has made it a little easier. I would highly recommend East Shore to anyone!

Steals your money! I’m only 20 years old with two cats they did things I didn’t even know they just told me they were doing. Came out with $488 bill not even informing me of price nothing !!! Watch out they will steal every penny when you can go to another place better for cheaper !!! Watch out !

I cannot say enough nice things about this veterinary practice. Dr Cieplik has been nothing but kind, reassuring (new puppy mom) and professional. All of the techs we have encountered have been excellent as well. Furthermore, our Moose was sick on A SUNDAY and Marg went above and beyond to help us. She contacted the vet and we were able to start the medication to help our boy feel better. East Shore is the absolute BEST. I can't imagine taking a pet anywhere else!

I brought my dog to East Shore Veterinary Hospital since she was 8 weeks old and she just recently had to be put at peace, (13 years later). Over the years the staff at East Shore became part of our family. Jade got to enjoy dog daycare with Marge, and sleepover's when we had to go away. The care she received was above and beyond in all aspects. Dr. Cieplik & Dr. Beres are the most caring and incredible veterinarians that I have ever had the pleasure to know. On Jade's last day, Dr. Beres came in on his day off and met us at the Branford location. He made our last moments with our dog peaceful and easier for us. He sat with us and showed patience and love. The hardest thing I have ever had to do was see my dog go as she was a part of our family. I thank both Dr. Cieplik and Dr. Beres, Marge and and the entire staff for an amazing 13 years. I could not recommend any other Veterinary Hospital more than this one.

My cat just had surgery and this was my first experience there. Everything was explained perfectly with no surprises. Emily, the vet assistant, is the sweetest and let me know she would stay with him all day. The doctor called immediately after the surgery and updated me. She is also very kind. Excellent place for your little family members, when they need care. T.H.

East Shore has been my veterinary office for my two dogs for some years now. In addition to the veterinary services I have utilized their daycare and overnight boarding programs as well as grooming. I have been extremely pleased with all the medical care and services received. I know my dogs are in good hands when at East Shore. The staff are all very competent, personable and caring.

We have trusted our four-legged children with East Shore Veterinary Hospital (ESVH) for years. The care they give and the expertise/knowledge they provide are exceptional! You will get an honest and thorough assessment of your pet pet and all of your questions/concerns will be answered in a non-judgmental environment. Our dog has multiple conditions that are being managed and she has required referrals to a few specialists for these conditions. The referrals have always been a smooth transition with a good experience and her veterinarians at ESVH always follow-up for updates after referral to keep heavily involved with her case. I think this shows just how much they care about our pet's overall care! The doctors at ESVH are very competent and can provide a full array of services, including full wellness care, routine surgery, dentistry, radiographs, etc, however they also offer for specialists to come to perform certain more advanced procedures at ESVH, which is a bonus since we are already comfortable bringing our pet to ESVH! It is always an excellent experience all around with all the staff at ESVH and I would highly recommend them to everyone!!!

My dog Brando has been going to East Shore Vet for over 9 years for daycare, boarding, grooming, and vet services as well. I cannot imagine going anywhere else for any services. From the staff at the desk to the doctors, to the groomer and daycare/boarding staff are so welcoming and caring! I never worry about Brando when he is in their care. They make me feel like my dog is the most important whenever he is there, which is a great feeling. I also feel the prices are reasonable for vet examinations. I just love this place!

I have been to a few veterinarians in my time and none of them have managed to check all my boxes- East Shore Veterinary Hospital's Dr. Cieplik was the first vet I've seen without regrets or concerns. East Shore's prices are incredibly reasonable and affordable, and the quote they gave me on a lab test was almost ten dollars cheaper than another vet's. Dr. Cieplik seemed very knowledgeable on rats and their specific needs, on general rat behavior, and she even seemed to be fond of them. She held my rat and addressed all my concerns, even if some of them were a little far fetched, without making me feel like I was wasting her time. She really made me feel like she cared about my pet's health as much as I do, and that's something that you really want in a vet. I cannot recommend East Shore enough.

East Shore is a wonderful veterinary clinic and I would highly recommend it. All of the doctors are excellent and the staff very friendly. I have a senior cat with some health issues and East Shore has just been amazing in helping me to care for her. Thank you and keep up the great work.
