Brought our hard headed bulldog in for training. He is responding beautifully to the instructors and the e-collar used at sit means sit. Had a real concern for him hurting himself with traditional choke chain type collars. Only problem is he does not want to leave after his lessons.

I am still in training with lessons but owner needs more work than the dog! Imagine that! Instructors are very good and tolerant of people that spoil their dogs " kids". Very clean facility and enjoy going to classes . A great investment for a life long family member.

I have used their services before and have had great results! They are very professional. I am taking in my families lab and have an aggressive toy/food dog. Only because I didn't keep up with the training. We had a consult with Anothny today and he made everything clear and gave us a run down of the options. I will never use another training company!

This has changed my life and my dogs life. Walks have always been stressful because my dog is reactive to dogs and humans. He also has a prey drive. We are still in training, but life is so much more peaceful. My dog walks on the leash well, listens at the dog park, and is less reactive towards humans. We are still working on a couple things, however this experience has been a total blessing.

I recommend Sit Means Sit to everyone! My 16 month goldendoodle miniature has been with two previous trainers. One as a pup, to learn the basics (he was excellent) and another one to learn some therapy / service dog reactive training. The second trainer was not reliable or responsive. Anthony and his team have been all that and more. They have given us both the tools to help relieve those reactive behaviors. anxieties our dog has. Worth every penny! They are great at communicating and follow up. We look forward to the group classes to help build more confidence. I love Sit Means Sit and I am so grateful for everything that they have done to help us :-)

We brought our 11 month of golden shepard in and he was a decent dog but would only come when called 0in the house and was not obedient outside. He also barked at our neighbors a lot. We got Charlie back and its a night and day difference he can walk with out a leash, he comes when called and stays. As well as all barking at the fence has stopped. Exckted for our private training to expand his capabilities. Thanks to whole team at sit means sit.

All I can say is that my Great Dane Charlie, could not wait to go back to see the trainers! They treated him so well. He is the same dog, but well behaved now!

I enrolled my 6 month old chiweenie in this program. Our trainer, Jackson, was amazing with her and she has come so far! Her recall and overall responsiveness has improved tremendously with just a few weeks of lessons. You have to commit to doing the work with your dog, but it's so worth it. Highly recommend this program!

I have a brindle mastiff mix puppy who is a little over a year. I had tried several different collars and leads along with training advice from other trainers but nothing was setting in with my big boy. The collar sit means sit uses is basically a tens unit for dogs. This method has worked quickly to getting my mastiff to listen when there are distractions around and keep him and I both safe.

We adopted a 7 year old husky/beagle mix that started to show some very aggressive behaviors after the first month of having him. Jimmy came over for a consultation and we saw how well behaved and trained his dogs were and we decided that if Moose could be trained to even a small fraction of what his dogs can do, it was be a HUGE improvement. We had 4 visits with Jimmy after the consultation, three of which were full training sessions over a months time. Jimmy gave us strict, concise training every week which added new things each session. We made it a priority to put the work in on our end (2 hours a day at a minimum) and we have a completely different dog. Before we couldn't walk past another dog without Moose lunging and barking, now we don't have any problems. We take him off leash to play in parks with no worry that he will run away or cause any problems. This program is pricey and can be time consuming on the owners end, but it is very worth it if you are serious about wanting a well behaved dog! (This also strengthened our bond with Moose). Overall we are so glad we decided to do this program and I would recommend it to anyone!

This place is great! Ed, Anthony, and all the trainers are amazing. My dog is severely leash reactive, and very aggressive towards men. He completed a 10 day board and train where I saw a whole new level of aggression in my dog I had yet to witness. This helped me to open my eyes and realize the level of training my boy needed. They both gave me tons of updates and pep talks throughout his boarding because they could see my anxiety kicking in. I’ve only had my dog home for a few days, but they’ve given me the tools I need to make my walks enjoyable again. This is my fourth try at an expensive training program, and I can already tell this is going to be the one that sticks. They’re the first to increase my confidence, and the first to motivate my husband to participate in training. These guys are amazing at training both dogs and the people!

I recommend Sit Means Sit to everyone! My pup is dog aggressive and Anthony and his team have given us the tools to help relieve those anxieties our dog has. We just finished a board and tune up and every penny is worth it! I know he is in great hands and very well taken care of. They are great at communicating and even willing to go buy dog food when he ran out before picking him up. The group classes are amazing as well! They not only help build Lincoln’s confidence but mine as well. Ed has always answered our questions and willing to work with us to help us be successful with our training. Overall I love Sit Means Sit and I am so grateful for everything that they have done to help my pup and I. :) thank you guys!!

Anthony and the team at Sit Means Sit have truly changed our lives as a busy family of 6 with two unmanageable large rescue dogs. We have gone from training the people in our house to work around our dogs, to training our dogs to behave in a manor that works with our busy family dynamic. Our dogs are safer and I am saner. A true life changer and worth every single dollar!

I love my dog and want the best for him as most owners do. Milo is 2 and a half years old. After a long time of being a wonderfully friendly dog who was great with other dogs both on and off leash some concerning behaviors surfaced. Mostly severe leash aggression, pulling and overstimulation at the dog park that led to fights. After a few weeks of trying to "fix it" myself with positive reinforcement and treats I realized I wasn't able to offer consistent expectations without being trained myself and I needed help. I found the "treat" system to be quite unsuccessful, for my 90lb dog, a squirrel is a much more delicious treat than whatever I had on hand. Away we would go at his discretion with me begging him to stop and simultaneously being dragged along in his bad behavior. His leash reactivity to other dogs and distractions deterred me from giving him the proper exercise and socializing due to anxiety about "what could happen" and I knew I needed to make a change. After much research I decided to go with Sit Means Sit (the fact that it came HIGHLY recommended from a friend with a giant mastiff also helped). I knew I needed help with my big "bad" dog so nothing bad happened to either of us and the rest of our lives together could be more than just stressful, quick walks. The dog loves to explore, swim and play and he deserves to do so in a productive manner. Sit means sit has been incredible. Two of the three full day sessions in and I swear they swapped him out for a well behaved clone but more seriously, his behavior has 180-ed. Ed and Anthony have been so patient with us both and really changed not only his behavior but my entire thinking about the relationship I have with my dog and how to best manage it. I see him looking to me on walks for affirmation that his behavior is what I expect and want (amazing), he and I are both happier and we are having a great time! I look forward to walks, runs, the dog park... yes I said it the dog park where I feared going in the past... (I would drive by to make sure no one was there) and our future together. Sit means sit gives us coaching at each session, collar & lifestyle recommendations for more successful walking and guidance, and follow up! He plays with the other dogs there and at the dog park productively and we can't wait to attend group sessions! Thank you Anthony, Ed and all of Sit Means Sit, from both of us.

Why doesn’t the company note on their web site that shock collars are used to train the dogs? If you stand behind this type of training than why hide it? I, personally, do not believe a shock collar is needed to train my 5 month Golden Retriever. I also think shock collars are a lazy way to train a puppy. Its absurd that my dog would have to wear this device 24/7. Knowing this before the consultation would have have saved me & your company a lot of time.

Great dog trainers, sure it is a little costly but they did wonders with my dog, she went from dog that did what she wanted when she wanted to a dog that does almost everything even my three year old tells here to do

Amazing staff and great training. They really make it easy to work with your dog and help you understand the process to make the training a normal part of your time at home.

We rescued our fearful pup a year ago and thought we could love the fear out of him. After a year, he was still terrified and insecure. I was admittedly skeptical that a week at the facility would do much to improve his behavior. A week at …

Sit Means Sit was an absolute life saver! My dog’s aggression toward other dogs and people had gotten to a point that he was out of control, and I didn’t know what to do. Through the board and train program and weekly group classes, the improvement has been incredible. My dog is doing great with new people and can now look at other dogs without reacting. In the group classes, he is making progress in greeting and interacting with other dogs. Additionally, his nuisance behaviors (counter surfing, getting into the garbage, stealing food) are nonexistent, his recall is perfect, and he knows a variety of commands. He went from being known as the “bad dog” to being described now by friends as a “good dog”! The trainers are amazing- not just at working with the dogs, but also in supporting us owners in developing our skills when working with our dogs.

Sit Means Sit is the damn best. I can’t thank them enough for what they have done for my dog Miles and I. Miles has always been a bit of a wild card. Jumping, barking, lunging and biting people. He wasn’t great at socializing with other dogs and really not great at meeting new people. And I wasn’t great at knowing what to do or how to handle some of his behaviors. We saw another trainer who was lovely but not really for us. I also really hated having gross treat pockets all of the time. A few months back Miles and I were in a situation where I needed help and needed to get out ASAP. He showed up for me in all of the ways he knew how. However, after that something flipped. Nobody could come near me- even people that he knew. That’s when I reached out to Sit Means Sit and met with Ed. I felt very comfortable from the start and decided to go ahead with a 7 day board and train. I, like most dog moms, was really nervous about sending my dog away for 7 days. Ed was so great about keeping me updated and sending photos. I could tell Miles was in the best of hands. After the 7 days I got to see all of Miles badass new tricks and confidence and I knew I had made the best decision for him and I. I look forward to continuing the training journey with Ed and the rest of the Sit means Sit team. I can’t recommend them enough!

We brought our German Shepherd Basila to Sit Means Sit. She was so out of control that I could barely finish the paperwork to get her training started. When I arrived to pick her up it was amazing. She now can walk in the park with me without making a scene. No more tugging to go in her own direction or barking at other dogs and people. She knows what I expect now, and I am very thankful to Sit Means Sit for that. Keep up the wonderful work guys.

Sit Means Sit has been such a blessing. Before sending Miska to a 7 day board and train she was a little scared of other dogs (due to being attacked twice), she was a "runner", and she had a stubborn tendency. She was not a horrible dog by any means, but she definitely wasn't perfect. When I picked her up from her stay at SMS I really hoped the results would be worth the price ($$$$). I was/am not disappointed, to say the least!!! Miska has a new found sense of confidence, amazing manners, and can be trusted off leash at all kinds of places. She is so proud of herself and I can tell she really likes the training (and her trainer Ed who she's kissing in one of the pictures)- which was my #1 priority. I didn't want SMS to put her in any pain with the e-collar or break her spirit, and it didn't! I think the whole SMS process has been about 20x harder for me than her. I hated sending her away, I had to learn how to better communicate with her, and I have had to work on integrating training into our daily routine. But the entire SMS team has walked me through the process and answered all my questions. The results have been SO worth the financial, time, and emotional investment. Ed, Anthony, and all of the SMS team- THANK YOU! I'm excited to continue working with you for the lifetime of Miska. :)

We adopted a lab mix when she was about 3 months old and by the time she was 6 months old she was out of control and obnoxious. We put her through the board and train for 1 week at Sit Means Sit and she has improved so much. She is no longer an obnoxious terror, but a well behaved fun and playful pup. She is great with all of her commands and we are so grateful to the team that helped us with Rosie. Our boys love playing with her now and are no longer afraid of her. Ed, Matti, Anthony and everyone else we have worked with have been caring and helpful every step of the way. We are excited to continue her training with you guys!
