Prompt and polite service. I found a dying or injured raven around my backyard and they were willing to take it.

The people that work here are angels and seriously amazing people! We found a litter of less than a week old kitties and a very feral Mama in need. The wonderful and fuzzy-friend loving staff helped get them into a better and much safer situation, and Mama can nurse and be with her babies in peace. Those itty bitty ones will now have a great life because of these awesome people! It brings tears to my eyes. Each and every one on this staff is appreciated by the fur-babies and humans alike! P.S. Sorry about Mama totally ransacking the pet food area! The Lion Tamer is very good with cats! It makes sense that is the nickname given. All of you made my day, but you also made a Mama's and four babies LIVES! #AngelWorkers

I took my dog in for a Laceration on her leg on a Thursday. We were told she would be treated no later than 2 days after. We wait the two days, just to get a call an hour after they close saying they were “busy” and she has to stay the weekend & they wouldn’t be performing the surgery till that monday. They didn’t bother to inform us at any point. No other explanation than, “we were busy” but yet we were told it we would have her back in 2 days. Completely unprofessional. They never answer their phones. They don’t inform you or update you at anytime. They put you on the back burner but yet push other dogs ahead. Absolutely ridiculous! I can only imagine how my dog feels with a gash on her leg, waiting 4 days to be treated. Had I known they would take this long, I wouldnt have went there. There’s plenty of other, more affordable places than this garbage. DONT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS! WHAT A JOKE!

This place is not a place to adopt a pet. Their website takes you to a sale of pets site. Most are way over priced dogs and puppies. This is not a rescue this is a greedy company looking to make a huge profit of pets that they don't guarantee of their survival or even treated humanely while in their possession. Good luck with your search, but I should not go here for an animal.

I rarely post reviews online but the experience my family and I had adopting our cat, Randy, at Planned Pethood Adoptions was better than we ever expected or imagined. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, and their love for animals is so genuine and heartfelt that we almost felt guilty having Randy say goodbye to them! Every question we had, they answered. Any food, supplies, toys, etc. we needed, they had available. The store itself is a reflection of the staff...warm and inviting...and filled with all kinds of fun animal-related pictures, signs, clothes, you name it. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to adopt a pet or just to buy pet food and supplies. A wonderful experience all around...and Randy agrees!

The adoption side of this business is such a joke. Shani, who we mostly dealt with was not only rude, unprofessional and insulting, but actually had the audacity to provoke, tease, and KICK my dog. We spent over a week trying to bring our …

We visited here numerous times this past month trying to adopt a dog. Every time we left with an unpleasant experience. Their website descriptions of the available dogs are not accurate. You’d think if a dog is afraid of men, that should be something that is addressed prior to a meet and greet. If you are bringing your own pets for a meet and greet, beware of their unprofessional attitudes, questionable “behavior tests” and the possibility of your dog being kicked. Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone in the office. You either get an automated message that leads you to a dial tone or an answering machine that apparently never gets checked. I wonder how many dogs have missed out on a loving home because of this poor establishment.

I was looking to adopt or rescue a dog several years ago and stumbled upon this place. Although small, the staff members were very friendly. Unfortunately, the dog I was interested in was adopted before I arrived. The staff member helping me offered to contact me if this adoption didn’t work out.

I have fostered, adopted and volunteered for Planet Pet. I am also proud to call Planned Pethood (Dr.Jeff and his staff) my vet of choice.I have for many years watched Susan, Shani and staff take physically and mentally broken dogs and cats and give them better lives. I have seen dogs no one would have ever thought would survive, let alone find a home become part of someone's loving family. The love and care they put into an adoptable animal is beyond just a job it's a passion with them. I know they work to find the very best fit for both animal and human l know their only goal is so the dog or cat has a FUREVER home.

We had a wonderful experience adopting a 3-legged Mexican street dog (Paco) and an Alaskan Klee Kai (Kaia). The experience and their attention to the dog's welfare far exceeded my expectations. Paco needed some extra care as he had a number of diseases being rescued from the streets of Mexico. Susan and their team went out of their way to make sure he was healthy before our adoption was final. Kaia was a puppy mill rescue and did not know how to behave like a dog. It has been such a blessing how the street smart Mexican street dog has educated our Puppy Mill rescue. You will not find a more caring group of folks in the Denver area.

In September of 2017, my boyfriend Rick and I went to PPP to see if they had Hurricane Harvey animals available for adoption. They were not housing Harvey pets, but we found our furever baby who had been named Sadie. She was living behind the retail desk, and had just come out of a cast on her rear right leg which she had recovered from after being shot by a shotgun. Due to PTSD, she did not like other dogs and could only be adopted into a single animal household. When we met her Susan immediately recognized our connection with Sadie, and enthusiastically encouraged a temporary foster/trial adoption period. She knew Sadie was going home, as we did too. Since her adoption, the staff is always extremely accommodating, concerned and excited about Sadie, and always willing to above and beyond in their customer service.

I fostered a special needs dog for several months before deciding to make him part of my Puggle family. I received all the information I needed and the adoption process was smooth. We go back and visit frequently because my dear dog considers this his second home.

We had been looking to adopt a dog for over 5 months, and came in to meet a pup that caught our attention. The woman who “choreographed” the meeting was SO uninterested in anything we had to say it was astounding. She mentioned behavioral concerns she had with the pup, and I assured her I had been training dogs for years. To that she replied “mmmm hmm”. She seemed completely uninterested in adopting this dog out; it was one of the strangest experiences. I let her know we would be very very interested in bringing him home for a few days to see how he feels with our family, and she replied “we will let you know if we feel you are a good fit”. The people working the adoption side of this place are kind of a joke, and that is very sad for the animals trying to find homes.

I recently adopted an 8-year-old Alaskan Klee Kai named Kaylee from Planned Pethood, and I was blown away by their kindness and outstanding customer service. Little Kaylee was a shy, fearful doggy rescued from a horrible puppy mill so Susan, Shani and the rest of the staff showed her extra love, patience, and attention. They let Kaylee hang out with her doggy friends in the reception desk area every day rather than locking her in a kennel since she had already spent so many years in a tiny, filthy cage at the horrible puppy mill, where she was forced to provide litter after litter of puppies for pet stores and on-line breeders. Thanks to the extra TLC from the caring folks at Planned Pethood, Kaylee learned that she could trust humans. Kaylee had several medical issues as a result of being horribly neglected at the puppy mill. She had 12 rotten teeth and two bad knees. Planned Pethood was happy to perform all of those surgeries (and a spay) and I began fostering her at my house during that time. Not only did Planned Pethood pay for all of Kaylee's medical needs but they were VERY generous with providing dog food, medicine, pink fuzzy dog pajamas (to keep her shaved parts warm), and a birthday hat (for her 8th birthday). I could go on and on about how well they treated Kaylee and me (and the other rescued animals in their care) but suffice to say I would adopt from them again in a heartbeat and I'm so thankful for the difference they make in the lives of the animals they rescue!

I adopted my wonderful chihuahua from there. Shani and other staff members were, and continue to be wfantastic. I inquired about a dog and they introduced me to another they felt would be perfect for me and indeed she is!!!! They are very supportive and are committed to assuring both adopted dog and owner are happy. I am thrilled with this match and SO grateful for their support. They are caring and committed. Thanks everyone!!!!

I live in Oklahoma. I drove 1300 miles to take my dog Buck to have surgery on 1 hip. I had seen Dr. Jeff Young on Animal Planet. I was very impressed with the way he cares about animals & it put my mind to rest about having the surgery. Buck is doing well, I have him in physical therapy now & it won't be long before he's back to running & playing. Thanks to Dr. Jeff & everyone who took care of my baby.
