Overall experience are quite positive. Service is good and the staffs are responsive. The only thing is if you do not signed up a wellness plan for your dog, you will need to pay a visit or doctor fee (forgot the name) per visit even for vaccine appointments, which at many other vet clinic can be managed by vet technician. In general, the wellness plan is good in terms of value for many. It covers vaccines, etc.

background: long time banfield customer - have/had pets past and present on plans. have found tremendous value and professionalism from other locations in the area just not the superior location. on monday we had one of our cats in for a dental cleaning at the superior location. at the time we were told he had some eye irritation and if it got worse over the course of the week to call in and they'd have an antibiotic ready for pickup. this morning (saturday) we noticed it had gotten worse so i called in to the superior location where he was seen on monday. i was blamed for "waiting too long", calling in on the vet's day off (who had seen him on monday) and was told it would be "illegal" for them to help and i would just have to bring him in on monday. overall a very defensive attitude where it would have been really easy to hear the issue and tell us they would call back with options available. i get the pandemic has been hard and saturdays are typically extremely busy for vets. i have just noticed a lack of empathy and terrible customer service overall at this location becoming more and more apparent over the last 12 months - the great employees seem to have left and the current employees seem to be causing a self inflicted wound by creating customer issues when not needed and over complicating the service offered. i hope they can figure it out - this location is so close to home that i hate driving further just to avoid this location but i wont be taking them back here anytime soon.

I brought my puppy's adoption and vaccine records and the vet did not read them and doubled her up on a lot of her vaccines (which they said was no big deal but I'm sure cost more). They told me to come back for a distemper booster but after having another vet look at her paperwork she's already had 3 distemper shots! I'm just super disappointment that they did not even look at the paperwork I brought in. Even though it is convenient to bring her here I am going to transfer her to another vet. Everyone was super nice but the attention to detail is too subpar to trust with my fur baby. Emailed yesterday (7/29/21), waiting for response. Have been playing phone tag for a week now...(8/9/21)

Good vet service, the only thing I don’t like is that my baby Kiitten needs several vaccines within a month and each time They charge the whole exam $50 plus the vaccines ???? it is too much! Overall more than $250 in one month for vaccines

I’ve been taking my dogs to this location for over 10 years, I’m not sure what’s happened during the pandemic But I’ve never felt more like a number in my life! I realize we’re all under a lot of stress but a little empathy goes along way for your pet and the owner! Seems like all they’re interested in is selling you an extended insurance policy for your pet!

I used to go to Banfield in Boulder and it was great. Dr. Ayazi was amazing. When they closed, I switched to Superior. Even before Covid, they always were switching Dr.s on us. I understand the switching now with minimal hours available, but yesterday the Dr. we saw never said that today was her day off, and the Dr. who is working today will probably not have time to check results of a test that tells us if our dog is in horrible pain and needs an easy fix medication or is dying. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they are also busy and will get back to me in 24 hours. I feel this service is unacceptable for the dire situation.... OH AND HOW CAN I FORGET! A few months back a front desk woman on the phone was coughing a bunch. I called back to speak to a manager and was told "We are very safe here" with no effort to find out who I was speaking about or reassurance that the employee will be checked on.

Daisy was so helpful this morning. She went above and beyond to help me and put my mind at ease. I really appreciate her and the staff at Banfield. We have had nothing but good experiences. Not to mention the amount of money we saved with the Wellness plan! Thanks again, Daisy.

I've been taking my very large furbaby here for years. Now that she's elderly, she needs extra care. I'm glad to have a veterinarian who knows her well & is sensitive to her specific needs in care.

My dog never has any issues going to the vet and they are always very friendly and knowledgable. Their service is excellent and they offer a monthly payment plan that covers an array of services throughout the year. I would recommend the optimum wellness plan to anyone. It has different tiers which depend on the amount of care your furry friends need!

They have eight people waiting in close proximity to reach other. You can't be in the room when they examine your pet. So either they take the animal to the back or you have to leave the room. Animals are nervous/scared.

I have been to probably over 10 Banfield locations because I move frequently and this one is hands down my favorite. I've had problems in the past at other locations feeling rushed or like an afterthought (which is fair considering how many people are getting pets right now and how booked they are) - but Superior (specifically Dr. Blevins) takes the extra time to fully explain each of my pet's situations and treatments. Every time I call, Stacy is so kind and helpful and every time I'm at the front desk, Emily is the best!! Super super excited I found this gem :)

My dog got neutered, and when I booked the appointment I asked if it would be covered by the insurance plan I had, and they said it was. When I dropped him off, I was told someone would call me before the surgery (in about 30 minutes). 2 hours later I heard nothing and called, I was told they were almost done with surgery and if anyone had spoken to me about how I would pay. The neuter was $500. If I had known it was that much beforehand, I would have taken him elsewhere. The manager, Daisy was very rude and said "did you expect it to be free?" They didn't work with me at all. I canceled my insurance and will not be sending my dog there again.

The amount of neglect I experienced during my time with the wellness plan was animal abuse. If you have a wellness plan I highly recommend you cancel it and talk with a local vet. It's a scam to get you in regularly so they have more opportunities to upsell you. I have reason to believe they didn't even perform many of the procedures they claim. When I called with questions about a procedure I'd been charged for and that my pet needed, practice manager was beyond rude and told me she couldn't help me. The vets have called me many times when they have something to sell me but when I asked the vet to call me so we could strategize a plan, I was told that I was being ridiculous to think that the vet would have time to call me just because I asked. I even suggested up to a 1-week timeline for the call but even that was just ridiculous. I was shocked since the phone call was to correct mistakes their vet made. their wellness program is a system of greed. I just can't recommend it to anyone anymore. Please go find a local vet who has a reason to keep you happy.

We have always used Banfield for out pets and were happy at the Thornton store. A few years ago we moved and transferred to Superior... I regret this move and will not take my pet back after the horrible service we received recently.

I am NEVER subjecting my pets to this place again. The vet that saw my pets was utterly useless. I came in with several concerns raised about the health of my two cats. They are aging and have recently had a few issues. Upon arriving to the vet to drop off my pets, the vet tech referenced a prescription from 2018 as if it was something prescribed last week. When I was (justifiably) confused, she listed off the longer, more complicated medical name instead of explaining what the medication was used for. Upon realizing I did not know what she was talking about (a relaxant to give them before the vet visits) she told me that I really should have given my pets this medication before coming in and because of this, they would have to be sedated for a $260 fee. I was surprised she put so much stock in a medication that was from 2 years ago and prescribed by a completely different veterinarian from a different establishment. Especially because the prescription was expired and had not been updated or even mentioned by this new vet in previous visits. After some discussing she informed me that my animals would only be sedated if absolutely necessary so I dropped them off and left. I know my animals, and I know that they are not pleasant at the vet. I knew it was likely that they would need to be sedated so I waited for the call. I heard nothing for SIX HOURS which tells me they were not worked with for the six hours of their nine hour long visit. At the end of the work day, I finally had a call from the vets office but I had missed it by 8 minutes, so I called back. They informed me that they had proceeded with the sedation (without approving it with me first!!!). I was very frustrated by the lack of communication. They knew they were dealing with animals that tended towards aggression in the vets office and they absolutely did not set them up for success by leaving them in their cages for hours on end before going to work on them. I had several questions for the vet but heard over the phone her tell the vet tech that she was "unavailable because she was dealing with my aggressive animals". I became frustrated that my questions were not being answered and the vet tech clearly did not like that, stopped helping me, and told me they would call again when my cats were ready. The vet called at the end of their visit and said she wanted to start with the concerns I had brought up when dropping them off. I raised concerns of a UTI with one pet and they informed me that not only did he have crystals in his urine, but that they had not gotten a clean urine sample on his previous visit either (something they failed to share at his previous visit). I asked if he would need any treatment and she said "no, he seems fine." He is obviously not fine if there are crystals in his urine. Both cats had been sneezing which she also coined as "fine" although it is abnormal behavior for both of them. My female cat had throat health concerns and the vet just repeated what I had been hearing all day "it's hard to tell for sure when they're so aggressive". THEN WHY DID I PAY FOR YOU TO SEDATE THEM IF YOU STILL CAN'T GIVE ME ACCURATE MEDICAL INFORMATION? Upon arriving for pick up, the vet tech talked more about their aggression than their health and even ignored some of my questions so she could tell stories of how they acted at the vet. There is nothing I can do about them not enjoying the vet, and they chose to hone in on that instead of their health. This establishment rips people off and doesn't even care about the health of their pet. I would not recommend this place by any definition of the word.

I love this Banfield. The vets and staff are friendly and honest. I drive to the one in Superior, because I like it better than the one closest to me.

Member who just saw Dr. Kubik after moving to a different office. Not sure what all the sassy reviews below are about, she was exceptional. Very patient with me, honest, and I find solid value in the membership. Saw me on time. No problems. Would recommend Banfield membership to anyone, the discounts with the plan are well worth it.

I decided to get the monthly payment package because I was advised and convinced I can get a dental and vaccination for my dog. Dropped off in the morning and I never got a call to pick her up. So I decided to stop by and was told dental would not be about to be done and vaccination were not able to be fine due to her blood work....... I ended up paying out of pocket for meds that didn't help and made her feel worse. They won't cancel my plan but want to send me to collections if I don't pay...... What am I paying for???? They don't want do anything to my pet??? Worst manager ever and her back up girl is so rude!!!!! Run!!!!

My wife and I have taken our puppy to banfield for various skin treatments, ear infections, etc. to the Superior Banfield location. We have had pretty decent experiences thus far. That is, until our experiences of yesterday and today (9/3 and 9/4). On 9/3 my wife took my dog to Banfield to get our puppy's anal glands extracted, and she was turned away because it was busy. That is perfectly acceptable! Although they advertise it as a walk-in basis procedure, it was overly busy and the manager told her to "bring him in tomorrow around 11:00 AM". On 9/4 my wife called Banfield to make sure that 11:00 AM would still be okay to take our dog in to get his anal glands extracted. They said "Yeah, that's perfect! We'll see you then". Once we arrived to Banfield at 11:00 AM the receptionist said that they were "way too understaffed and there is nobody here to do that for you". So we were turned down 2 times in 2 days for a very simple 5 minute procedure (even after being told TWICE to come at that time at that location). My advice to fellow dog enthusiasts is to take them somewhere that actually cares about their pets, and doesn't turn them away for something as simple as an anal gland extraction. I would advise not going to this location (and the one in Westminster is surprisingly worse!). Good luck if you take the risk and go here for anything.
