The vet who checked my very sick parakeet over was very thorough, informative and compassionate. The front desk staff were also very helpful and courteous.

They do a very poor job of describing their treatment and vaccinations costs. When you ask, they become frustrated easily and they give you this look like you should pay anything to have your pet come to their doctors. You can tell how they run their business by making you walk through their overpriced supermarket of food and products for your pets. They will blame the pandemic but my neighbors had the same issue last year.. Sorry. Avoid this place

This place is great my dog Ollie actually enjoys going to the vet here. The staff is super friendly, and what I really like about this place is that they don't try to up sell you on additional services. They care more about my dog and his health than they care to make a buck off me.

The veterinarian and nurse were knowledgeable and good with the animals, but the front desk people could be a tad friendlier. Kinda tucked back in the office complex so a little hard to find, but overall no major complaints or grievances. As far as COVID-19 is concerned, the clinic is enforcing social distancing measures and all employees were properly wearing masks and other PPE. You should be able to feel relatively safe while at this office.

Professional, welcoming and trustworthy. New clients get first exam free for up to 2 dogs/cats. They also care for exotics. Doctors Barlow and Rickford have been working here for over 20 years. I trust them deeply with my Akita. I will be getting him neutered here. This is an AAHA accredited, fear free hospital. They partner with the reputable Front Range Mobile for osteopathic surgeries. They are clearly animal-lovers!

We have been taking our 2 guinea pigs here for the last 2 years, and every time we go, we comment about how much we love this place! It's welcoming (they even put your pet's name on the entrance sandwich board to welcome them to their appt), the staff are very friendly, and Dr Baronne, the exotic pets Vet, is clearly extremely knowledgeable and experienced. We feel that our guineas are in very good hands here. They are even a certified "safe" place for cats, and are in the process of getting that certification for dogs too. Of the various vet clinics that I've gone to throughout the years with our cats, dogs, and guineas, this one outshines all the rest. There's an interesting large iguana (Princess Fiona Buttercup) residing in her large enclosure in the lobby, and there are snacks to munch on during your wait (which is never long). They have been in business here in Louisville for many years (one of the gals I was talking to today there said she brought her pets there 12 years ago). It also seems to me that their rates are less than the other vet clinics I've gone to, and they charge less for follow ups. Really just love them all around!!

They have always taken good care of my pets and they have a knowledge and friendly staff. During the pandemic they are concerned about the safety of the animals, the staff, and the pet owners.

Dr. Rickford (the bird vet) took good care of my beloved pet parakeet before he died, unfortunately from cancer. She is very good at her job and was upfront with me and helpful. The staff here is caring. They really care about animals.

The vets and vet techs at VCA in Louisville were so helpful and nice when my cats needed their checkups and were willing to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment when I noticed a small lesion on one cats lip. They practiced safely during the COVID pandemic with curbside drop-off, masks, and gloves. They recommended treatments that seemed reasonable and my cats were always treated well and with a personal touch. Plus, they have an office iguana!

This vet is amazing. Took my leopard gecko to a vet before this and was treated horribly (made my gecko pee!) when I came to vca the staff was knowledgable and gentle with him. Treated him very well and I left feeling very confident he was gonna get better staff was very professional and handled it perfectly. Only going to this vet from now on!

If I could give VCA less than one star, I would. The staff and veterinarians who work here may be very caring and kind, but I am utterly frustrated by some aspects of this clinic. I took my injured cockatiel here about 7 years ago for treatment, and they sent me home with pain medication. Fortunately, being a conscientious bird owner, I promptly looked up the medication when I got home before administering it to my bird and found that it was for cats and contained an ingredient toxic to birds - avocado. I immediately called the clinic and they apologized for the mistake and issued new pain medication. Ok. Problem solved. No animals harmed. Fast forward several years, when I moved to Louisville, just around the corner from VCA. Having already decided I would never take my birds here for medical care, I decided that it was worth my while to buy bird food here, since they sell the brand I like and they're right around the corner. This worked out ok for a few years. Occasionally, the food would be out of stock, but that was my biggest complaint. Then, one day recently, I went in to buy food and waited at the counter for nearly 20 minutes while they worked on checking out the person in front of me, only to find out they were out of food. Again. It then took another 10 minutes for them to gather the information they needed to order more bird food. I left feeling annoyed. A few days later, when the food had not arrived and I was completely out at home, I decided I needed to find a new distributor, so I began purchasing food at Broomfield Animal Hospital instead... and discovered that it was nearly $3 cheaper per bag!!! No more, VCA, I thought! Until today, when I came home to find a BILL had arrived in the mail from VCA for the bird food I never purchased!! This is such disgraceful business practice. I'm happy for everyone who has received good care for their animals here, as this is what's most important, but I will be discontinuing my patronage at VCA.

I can't express enough how grateful I am for the whole team at this vet office. Previously we had only our pet cockatoo Louie and they not only give him top of the line care when he's had incidents like tearing off his toe nail, but they are also the ONLY people we trust to board him and watch him when we travel. He gets so excited to go be with all of them and returns home to us happier than we left him. Additionally, we recently got a Sheepadoodle puppy Leroy and took him in when he suddenly got very sick, Dr. Rickford took every precaution and intelligently was able to narrow down exactly what was going on with our boy. He went from being lethargic, having a fever, and diarrhea, to being himself by the next morning with her care regimen. She is also the doctor who cares for Louie and is fantastic with him. We love the care and resources they provide for our babies!!!!

The folks at VCA Centennial Valley are truly amazing. First, they saved our parrots life, no doubt about it. They were so patient, answered every question, kept us informed and were so kind during such a stressful time. Our parrot required surgery, but her recovery has been quick and complete thanks to Dr Rickford’s expertise. We have been going for about a year for simple checkups and maintenance, but this last service has earned them life long appreciation.

I am raising a CCI, Canine Companions for Independence, puppy to be a service dog. Per CCI criteria, we are responsible for all medical bills including neutering and anything else that might arise. At 18 months, we turn him back to CCI. I called around to several local veterinarians in Broomfield asking if they would offer some kind of a discount and no one would then a friend who has been taking her pets to Dr Barlow for 20 years suggested VCA Centennial Valley Animal Hospital. Dr Barlow gave us a great discount so we took Jupiter there and was very impressed with the staff, cleanliness, and Dr. Barlow. They also have expertise in birds so we have decided to take all of our Quaker Parrot also to Dr. Barlow's associate. Now all our pets are going there andI think the drive is worth it.

Dr. Rickford was honest in telling me the services that my parrotlet really needed in this appointment. I thought it was time to wing clipping but not yet. The stuff is friendly and they also do bird boarding!
