Fabulous doggy daycare! Our pup gets SO DARN EXCITED to go to the castle!

I used to really enjoy taking my pup to the Lakewood/Colfax location. She was timid and had some trust issues to work through, and the staff had always been very nice and patient with her. Unfortunately a few red flags resulted in my decision to no longer take her to K9 Castle. First, when I asked about capacity for boarding, the staff had mentioned that they don't really have a capacity. In fact, they openly shared with me that they have chosen at times to purchase additional crates to accommodate more dogs, rather than tell prospective boarders that they are full. While good-intentioned, it definitely got me questioning both the dogs and staff's safety in those scenarios. Second, my dog was the victim of an incident during daycare. The front staff called me after it happened (which I appreciated), but upon further discussion with staff upon pickup, staff openly shared with me that the aggressor dog in this incident had shown signs of reactivity and aggression the day prior, but nothing was really done about it. While they assured me this dog was removed from group play, it got me wondering why this (or similar actions) weren't done at first signs, and whether or not the dog owner was alerted, before or after this incident. I have also overheard from staff that there is a 3-strike policy with incidents. My dog was lucky in this scenario; I would urge the owner to reconsider making this a zero-tolerance policy (which is standard among many other facilities), both for their staff's safety and safety of the dogs that play and stay there. Overall, a really disappointing end to what I previously thought was a great spot for my dog.

Did not follow instructions. They overly medicated my 18 year old dog. He has very sensitive stomach. When confronted about the issue no apology was given.

My dog Camper is usually very hesitant to going to new daycare spots and was a little nervous at first but got comfortable real quick at K-9 Castle. She had an absolute blast today. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. We've been to several other daycare/boarding spots around Denver and this is by far my favorite. The report cards are a nice added touch and makes me feel at ease that I can see her on the webcams. She is completely wiped out :) overall, a great experience and will definitely be coming back!

I’ve been dropping my pup Rigby off for daycare 1-2 times a week for the past month … he can’t wait to go inside when we get there and he passes out in the car when I pick him up … I haven’t used the boarding services yet but I would feel very comfortable doing so in the future!

Was a customer for years. I had wanted to change kennels several times, but personally I just used them a lot as my default and should have trusted my gut to make the change earlier. Communication on incidents and dog behavior is severely lacking. Front staff are always nice, but any communication that needs to take place with a dog owner is absent at best. Pricing is unclear and more than other kennels, and the booking app is not great. Also slow to respond to voicemails & emails. The behavior they noted for one of my dogs, was never experienced at any other kennel he's been to. I called the others I've used and checked, and he's been to 2 others since and has had zero issues. So there was definitely something about the K-9 people/location. ***What they consider communication between staff and clients is absolutely off. Incident reports were never communicated to me! I 100% did not know I had incidents with my dog. So please DO NOT tell me otherwise. I only ever asked for explanations on costs, so I could understand them, I never disputed them or asked to get anything taken off. There is a difference. ***I never asked for them to stay open late, I always picked my dogs up during their open hours. So the nap time comment, also makes zero sense and doesn't apply to me. I never begged for altered times, as I always picked up my dogs during your pickup hours, never beyond that. So please keep your reality in check. ***And people are allowed to change their ratings and feelings after negative experiences. My opinion of this place is 100% different now.

My dog is wrecked after coming here, and I love all the options to spoil your dog while at daycare!

Luna had a great time boarding at K-9 Castle.

We love K9 Castle! We take our pup to the Lakewood location, but have also taken him to the Santa Fe location and both are awesome. The staff is so friendly and consistent; they know our pup and give updates at the end of the day if anything cute or fun happened. We have also boarded him there for a few days and he did not get sick and was well cared for. He is always so excited to get out of the car to go in! Highly recommend!

We wouldn't trust our Dogs with anyone else.!!

Our dog loves playing here, he comes home exhausted and it is so fun to watch him on the webcams. The staff is always friendly and helpful too. Anytime we mention the name he gets so excited and is ready to play. We have also used their boarding service and it is so easy to book online.

Meant to write this review for this location and accidentally left it on the Denver one, but I'm sure it's great there too! Great place, my puppy loved it! We did doggy day care. He was a little nervous at first but the staff was so sweet and he opened up to the other pups quickly. I love the webcams, and they send you a "report card" with pictures & what friends they made, which was so lovely to read with my partner before we picked him up ❤️ I'll definitely be back!

Dexter loves being boarded here! He always comes back worn out and happy to be home. The staff is so great, seriously.

I took my new dog Leo to the groomer & she did a wonderful job. Everyone in this place is very nice & professional. So far I have referred 3 people to K9 Castle.
