Country Club Pet Resort Grand Junction, Colorado

The Country Club really stands out as a facility that engages with the dogs and provides them the support and care that they need. Their prices are fair, especially considering the level of service they are providing. You can tell their employees genuinely love animals and are proud of what they do.

It is unfortunate that I have to un-recommend this place. After months of taking our dog here for boarding and grooming, the unresolved issue we encountered has forced us to never go back. I cannot believe the issue we dealt with the reaction from the owner. Our dog was scheduled to have a grooming. When I asked one of the employees via email about grooming options, we discussed what services we needed, and were given the option of the expensive "Furminate" or a basic bath. I explained that we did not need the furminate but did need x, y, and z. I asked the employee in the email if they wanted me to schedule this via the Portal they use and they told me to not worry about it. Picked him up tonight and there were two issues. 1) He was soaking wet (his groom was yesterday). Apparently they let him into the doggy pools post-bath and I asked the girl upfront why and she said they do their best to keep them clean if they are groomed during their stay. I found this quite odd. If I knew he would get muddy and dirty after the bath, I would've skipped the grooming. None of this was ever mentioned and is not explained anywhere in the portal. 2) We were charged for the Furminate grooming. I emailed them (since it was after hours) and asked if there was an issue and I would like to discuss it with them. According to the first person who responded, it was scheduled for a Furminate on the portal by the staff. When the owner, Colin, responded to the email, they kept telling me to do the appointments through the portal and kept blaming me for not making the appt on the portal myself. I explained to Colin, multiple times and even included a screenshot of the conversation I had with the employee that they told me not to worry about it because they had already scheduled it for me. Colin refused to accept any responsibility and made excuse after excuse about why it was so much and their employees tell people to use the portal and they don't do that and they don't list prices on purpose, etc etc etc. There are other issues on FB reviews about the dealing with the owner Colin and they really should be heeded. They take advantage of you. Do not work with these people.

The Animal Nanny is awesome. Staff is extremely pleasant and helpful.

Brought Otto for the first time today and he seemed to have a great time! Can't wait to see the photos on facebook!

Cyrus loves Nanny. He has gone there since the day we moved to Grand Junction in January 2014. He had to go there while the moving company unloaded our things. He loves his weekly Tuesday daycare and the occasionally overnight visits.

Ash loves going to the Animal Nanny!! We board her as well as do daycare and she is always happy and completely exhausted!! The staff is always friendly! So happy we found the Animal Nanny!!

We love it here!!! I take our dog occasionally just to get some playtime and we have used them for boarding too. Great people and great service.

I have used Animal Nanny for several years for day boarding and a few times for overnight boarding. Our dogs have been well taken care of and I would recommend them. My only suggestion is that the parking area for dropping off or picking up dogs could be better. The traffic on 25 road has increased and it seems they drive faster than ever, which makes exiting tricky at times.

I have been bringing my dogs to the Animal Nanny for several years now and have always had great experiences. Ozzie loves it there and always comes home tired and happy!

They are more than people who take care of dogs. They are friends of dogs, who have the kindness, love and passion to make our pets WANT to be there .

This place is incredibly professional. They took great care of our two small dogs and accommodated our requests (I asked that they not be in the same play area as big dogs). They were on top of sending is pictures and updates throughout the day - this gave us so much peace of mind. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for daycare. We took advantage of the time in order to go hiking in Moab and were able to come back in time for pick-up. Thanks again!

CODY has been going to Animal Nanny since I got him 10 years ago. I compare it to taking him to a B&B rather than a hotel.

I have used the Animal Nanny twice for Baxter and will board him there again when I leave the country. He gets to socialize with other dogs in several great playgrounds and can go on hikes in the desert several times during the week. They require a test trial for your dog before they agree to board him/her to be sure that your pet will fit in. Glad to reccomend them.

Love the Animal Nanny. We went on Vacation to TN for a week and left our pup there, she came back happy and clean and we even got daily email updates with pictures.

It’s always difficult to leave our fur babies, but I could tell the minute we arrived they would be in great hands. When we picked Lucy and Daphne up from their stay you could tell they had an awesome time. Katie even checked in with us and sent photos while we were away. Great communication, user friendly website to complete forms and make reservations, tons of space for pups to play. Glad to find our new favorite place to take our pups. Thank you Animal Nanny, you all are awesome!

Animal Nanny takes the best care of out rat doxie. We wouldn’t take her anywhere else for overnight stays, day car, and nail trims. I can not recommend them highly enough.

Brought my hound puppy to daycare here so that he could learn some manners when it comes to social interactions with other dogs. He just gets so excited which can scare most dogs. They have been wonderful with him and he can't wait to come to day care to play with his friends! Plus he is nice and tired when he comes home! Thank you for taking care of my pupperoni! You guys are the best!

Our Diesel loves his weekly daycare visits and hikes. By Monday, he’s wanting to go again. Staff and services are great! I highly recommend to anyone needing playtime or boarding for their furbaby.

This is our second generation of dogs at The Animal Nanny. Our first set of dogs pulled in their leashes to get in, they loved it there so much. Today, our second set of dogs went for the first time and they were energized and happy--when we were picking them up after a full day!

My dog loves going to Animal Nanny. The care he receives is excellent. They are truly concerned for his well being.

The Animal Nanny is an amazing place. It did looks forward to going once a week and we can always count on them for boarding when we have to go out of town. No matter what they take such good care of the dogs!

Unprofessional business owners! Took our deposit and then cancelled at 6pm on a Friday night when no other boarding places are open and we were suppose to drop them off at 8am Saturday because we are leaving out of town at 8am. All because we didn’t want to pay all the extra fees last time to take the dogs on a hike. They are outside playing already, I don’t need be nickel and dime to keep them outside. We booked it 2 days ago, should have told us then to let us find somewhere else, not when we have no chance of finding anywhere before we are suppose to leave town. Now cancelling a weekend trip that is already paid for and cannot refunds because this owner doesn’t know how to manage her employees and process. But she doesn’t care, she just wants the money and charge for everything!

My dog has been attending this daycare weekly for almost 5 years now and we love it! Friendly, knowledgeable staff. I feel very comfortable leaving him here with them.

We boarded our dog while on vacation for two days so we could explore the National parks in the area that don’t allow dogs on trails. The team at Animal Nanny was great - very friendly and welcoming. They sent pictures while our dog was there showing us what he was up to. We would definitely board our pet here again.
