Elk Meadow Animal Hospital Evergreen, Colorado

If I could give a six star review I would! Elk Meadow Vet Hospital has been so kind to our puppy Arpo since we moved to Evergreen one year ago. They have gone above and beyond on multiple occasions for us and we are very appreciative for all of their support and expertise.

Well the review below was about 2 years ago and we've gone to Elk Meadow several times since, and still for us, always a great experience and very reasonable fees - very. She got a full checkup today with me in the room, a couple shots, conversations with the aid and the doctor about her health any issues she's having (none, fortunately). I really expected a bill in the $200+ range, cause, well vets are expensive. The total was $129 - nice. But we'd continue using Elk Meadow even if it was pricey, that's not the issue. Our dog is well cared for there, and they are friendly, helpful and informative with us in every interaction. I think when I read bad reviews - and things go south, anywhere, I realize - that maybe it's 'in the eye of the beholder' just a bit eh?? == We took our other dogs to Dr. Jason, always a great staff, helpful and friendly and with down to earth advice about the right food and possible health issues. Our first visit with our new dog Poppy was the same quality, and I left knowing we'd given her the best care possible. Can't wait to get the DNA test back and find out what kind of dog we have!

My elderly dog was having great difficulty walking. Dr Kutz suggested we try the water treadmill and the difference is absolutely amazing! Louie can now walk normally and even do stairs again! Louie has been given a new lease on life! Thank you so much EMAH!

It's really too bad that I have to write this review because this is been a very good vet for many of years. The reason I'm writing this review is something has changed. I respected them, I do not feel the same in return after having teeth extracted from our dog. There was miscommunication on how many teeth were going to be extracted. Might be my fault, might not. Regardless, when I called to get verification , the Doctor Who I had dealt with for many of years was very defensive about the conversation that his wife and i had had on how many teeth were going to get extracted. he kept telling me that she was right and I was wrong and he heard the conversation. He also kept telling me how cheap of a procedure this was compared to if I went somewhere else. I never did shop around, my dog's health and people I trust is more my concern than the money. I hate the fact that my dog may have to go under anesthesia again , the risk factors, and the recovery time all over again. Don't get me wrong, The fact that we'll have to pay another $800 to get the full procedure done again rather than the $50 it would have taken to do it at the same time makes me kind of swallow hard as well. They have grown, and in turn there's a lot of miscommunication that goes on. The doc wasn't there when I picked up my dog, the receptionist really didn't know what was going on. She just handed me a piece of paper saying that there might be two more teeth that need to get removed. If the doc would have called today and talk to me like a normal human being I would have understand that stuff happens and miscommunication occurs. He didn't.. he was in a big hurry to hang up the phone on me. I do really hope this message reaches him and he can find a way to go back to the business being personable while growing. In the meantime, maybe this message will help slow things down a little bit so they have time to get their feet on the ground to ensure the best possible treatment for every animal.

I had just adopted a scared/timid dog and was concerned about frightening him with a vet visit. Before I handed my other dog and him over (covid restrictions) I discussed with them my concerns. When I read the report from the vet I knew it was the perfect choice: "Mr. Mudd was timid but he was responsive. We gave him lots of love and his eyes softened up."

Due to relocation I had to find a new vet for my 3 dogs, 2 with lifelong medications needed. The reviews seemed great. The results were poor. From the receptionists to the vet techs, every contact was incompetent. The Dr’s may be great; I wouldn’t know, because they didn’t care enough to meet a new client. They also prescribed what I and another Veterinarian thought was an aggressive treatment for an easily solved allergy. Please be the best advocate for your pet and look elsewhere.

Great staff and very knowledgeable, they answer all of my questions and concerns. I definitely recommend taking your pet there and getting the vaccines for life.

Having the rare opportunity to be able to comment both from the perspective of a client and as someone lucky enough to see the behind the scenes, I want to share my experience in regards to the people and practice of Elk Meadow Veterinary Hospital. First, I would like to tell you about the staff that run this amazing ship. At the top of this crew is a captain that honestly reminds me of Patch Adams. Jason is the most real doctor that I have ever encountered, and seeing how he brings his personal side with him everyday, his love and compassion, is alone worth the trip to the vet. Jason's and experience not only shines through his treatment approach, but through the way he treats the clients and the staff he is responsible for. Christie is the other half of the leadership, and her expertise in the field of veterinary medicine, paired with the honest love and care that she demonstrates with each and every client, leaves nothing lacking. To single out any of the other staff would be an injustice, as I never seen a team so devoted and so deeply knowledgeable. From the upfront, where you feel like family, to the back where the real magic happens, each and every member of this crew shines in their own unique way, and it is a testament to the knowledge of the leadership and the trust therein. I would absolutely recommend this place, even on the worst day, because never have I felt so much love and compassion for those who can't speak, and really, that's what it's all about for me I feel completely at home there, and I'm sure you will too.

We have been longtime clients of Elk Meadow Vet Hospital and today confirmed again why we will be clients for life! Our dog Daphne, has very intense skin allergies and suddenly developed full blown hives, itching and swelling in her face at 4pm on a Friday evening. I called over to Elk Meadow and they got us in immediately and without hesitation. They took us immediately back for care and gave our dog a steroid shot within minutes. Jason is an incredibly competent, thorough, and caring provider and his staff is equally wonderful. They truly care for your pets as if they were their own. On top of everything, their costs for care are the most fair and reasonable that I've ever seen for vet services.

After experiencing a heartbreaking situation at another Evergreen vets office I was thrilled to find Elk Meadow. Jason and the staff there are fantastic to work with. There has never been a single problem with this vet's office. All of my cats are healthy and I know that their care is a priority for Elk Meadow Vet Hospital.

I have been taking my dogs to see Dr Jason Kutz since 2015. He and his entire staff are wonderful. I appreciate how clean the facility is, how quickly I can get an appointment and the care and professionalism provided. The Free Vaccines for Life Program is very beneficial and a huge cost savings. The email notices when vaccines are due is extremely important to me and keep the vaccines on track. I highly recommend Dr Kutz for all your pet needs.

I have SO happy with my Kaia and Rueger's care at Elk Meadow. Dr. Jason is very caring and always informative so I understand what is going on and what I need to do. He takes the necessary time to issues with me when I need to visit. He is very thorough and cares if I understand what is going on with my pets.

Dr. Jason and his staff are the best! They are so sweet with my cat every visit. Dr. Jason is super smart, caring and thorough. We also receive helpful reminders about upcoming appointments. Elk Meadow Vet is top notch!

The doctors and staff are wonderful. They helped me with our small toy poodle Boots. Boots has a bladder stone and need to be on a special diet plus care.They have been very helpful and are always nice when we walk in for care or dog food. They help with are newest shelter dog as well. Both of my dogs love going to the Vet. They especially love the receptionist. Great care, awesome people , great experience.

I have been going to Elk Meadow Vets. almost from the time they opened. I have two dogs, one of which is very difficult to work with. He doesn't like men so much so they always find a way to have Dr. Cristie available for him. The friendliness of everyone there speaks volumes about the kind of treatment they provide for the animals. Over the years, I've seen a lot of Veterinarians and I can ruefully say Drs. Jason and Christie are the best I have ever worked with and would recommend them to anyone needing a Vet.

I am so happy with the service I have received with Elk meadow Vet. They are awesome and really care about my fur baby. They are very knowledgeable and answer any questions I have about Scout. Having just moved to the area 1 1/2 years ago, Elk Meadow vet is a welcoming, very professional service for my 2 cats. The facility is well located, immediately responsive to any need, friendly, understanding of all my crazy-cat-lady quirks and always gentle with me and nervous kitties...I cannot thank them enough!

Great staff! They always treat us right when we come in for anything with our dogs. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I have called with concerns about cases with our dogs at home and we always get a response and help from the vets who are working that day without having to come in. The FVFL service is a great and the personal care we get for both of our dogs. Highly recommend this office for all of you pet care needs.

Elk Meadow Animal Hospital is great! I have a very energetic husky -lab mix and they are so good with him ! They take special care of him when he’s nervous for vaccinations. This hospital is always incredibly clean and the staff is welcoming and polite. We live in Boulder now but I still drive 45 mins for Denali to be seen here. That’s how excellent Elk Meadow Animal Hospital is.
