I had to take my two dogs in this week. They had both been very sick with different things going on. The veterinarians and staff were very complete they gave me a plan with all cost before they did anything nothing was forced. And everything was explained clearly the staff was very caring. They called and checked on my pets after each visit. Thank you so much vca southeast area for the compassion and care of my fur babies. They are both feeling wonderful!!!

If you’re looking for a provider who acts like they care for your animal then this is the place, but if you’re looking for a provider who actually cares about the wellness of your pet then STAY CLEAR OF VCA SOUTHEAST ANIMAL HOSPITAL. Their quality of care has deteriorated fast since Dr Kizzy English left. I’ve been going to this center for 5 years now and over the past year with every visit, I have had a different doctor that treats my 2 fur babies (no continuity). I was there again today and the tech (don’t think she was a doctor) had to look at her iPad to see what my dogs names were and she had no idea who we were or why we were even there. Dr Kizzy always remembered me and my dogs by 1st name and she truly cared about my pups. This facility has transitioned into a center for excessive profit and away from a center of care and excellence and only concerned with making money after they tried to charge me $2200 to get one of my dogs teeth cleaned (gold fillings should be included at their prices) I spoke to the manager during my visit to express concerns and she did nothing to try to improve the situation or to try to keep me as a customer. Good riddance VCA Southeast.

Shots and checkups are one thing but if your fur baby is seriously in trouble steer clear of these vets!!! Their colossal mistake and insufficient treatment cost us the life of our precious kitty and $6000+ in emergency bills. Update: I emailed back and forth with Cassandra the hospital manager, it’s true the visit was under my wife’s name! As soon as they figured out that they did in fact not treat my baby sufficiently she stopped communication!

I have serval cats and a special needs dog and this team has always been amazing with them! My puppy loves going to see them she is always so happy with them. Dr. G is absolutely perfect with the animals and you can tell he really cares. The front desk has always been on it and the vet techs and extremely nice and knowledgable! Everyone seems to be passionate about helping the animals. Thank you so much for your awesome team. I will always go to this hospital for all my animals!

My cat (Hotaru) recently passed away (October 2021) while we were vacationing in Denver and it was very upsetting. The staff were wonderful at ensuring I felt cared for and I had time to say goodbye. After she passed, i received a sympathy card from her primary vet within a week of her passing. I thought at first VCA SE had forgotten I existed or only pretended to care while I was in their presence. Last week I got a call from them asking for my updated address. They'd attempted to send a card and it had been returned to them by the post office.

I am totally disappointed with this animal hospital. They act like they are really interested in your animal { and this was my cat} and care about the both of you. My cat passed away and did I get a sympathy card? No. Another animal hospital sent me one and even checked on me after she passed away. And every time one of my fur babies passed away I have ALWAYS received sympathy cards. It may be trivial to some but to us who love our pets as our own children understand what it means to know that your vet and staff really does care. This one does not. Just by sending a card letting us know they are thinking about us really helps ease our broken hearts. You guys didn't give me a second thought when I told you. I thought that at the very least her vet would have called, even texted me. Please. No excuses. With all the negative reviews, we feel you have excuses. We feel you just can't or won't take responsibility. You lost a dedicated client.

Update; I've changed from 5* to 1*. First, they missed my dogs kidney failure, but thankfully I know my dog & pushed for blood work. Then, I got pet insurance, obviously not for his kidneys (preexisting), but for anything new. He then started having seizures & we worried about Addison's disease, so I went ahead with the tests for that AFTER I had insurance. For SOME reason, VCA completely screwed up his coverage for that. 1, now seizures will never be covered & 2 they put in his Addison's test as renal check up, so that wasn't covered! If the over $2000 for new conditions they managed to screw up wasn't enough, they then gave him the proheart 6 heartworm shot AGAINST the products legal conditions for its return from being recalled from the market. Not only was I NOT given the fact sheet required before injection, but my pup has multiple CLEARLY stated (on the sheet I wasn't given) conditions that should have 100% disqualified him from getting that shot! I brought this to their attention & the response was "I'm sorry, it's just been hectic with covid." Yet they STILL expected me to pay for it... Stay away!! Dr Games is great, especially if you are educated in your pet & its symptoms, but pretty sure he was or is retiring from here. Unfortunately, the level of devastating & neglectful screw ups is completely unacceptable! I finally saw VCA Southeast for what they truly are, another vet more focused on money than your furry family member.... Had they even ATTEMPTED to do ANYTHING to make it right with their devistating & potentially life threatening mistakes, this would be a different review... This is the BEST vet you're going to find! Tianna and Abby are the sweetest office ladies, I hang out just to chat with them. Dr. Games (gau-mez) is hands down the BEST vet I've encountered and I trust the lives of my precious babies (dog & cat) with him! He's the first vet I've ever met who has given me the acknowledgements for how much research I put into foods, diseases and treatments, as well as his meaningful praising of how much I pay attention to my dog's health. He is the best and if the day ever comes that he isn't my vet, I'd be devastated! He cares about your little family members, not money!!

Highly disappointed with my cat’s care here since Dr. English left. After Dr. English left the new people don’t seem to care about your pet. I’ve been taking my cat here for a few years. The communication here is horrible. My cat has been dealing with eye issues. Had them conduct a blood test per their recommendation. After spending $400 on this test I receive a text message from I guess the doctor. Not even a phone call? I had questions which I replied to but never received a response. I then purchased the recommended medication. They didn’t even ask me or make sure I knew what to do or how to give it and they didn’t tell me the prescription would be almost $100 for something that they don’t know will help the eye issue. Looking for a new vet to say the least.

Great group, we come here for the vet visits but also for boarding our 2 dogs. They always love coming here and are always happy when we pick them up. One of the dogs can be difficulty at first, but they were able to get her to open up to them, which is great.

This is the fourth VCA location that I've visited and it completely lives up to my expectations. The vet and technician were very kind and knowledgeable. I couldn't go into the facility due to covid safety measures, but from what I could see everything seemed clean and well maintained. I feel very comfortable bringing my dog back here

I've been a client there for 13 years and for the first time I was turned away when I had a sick pet. I called and they said they were booked for the next few weeks. I was stunned that they had no room for sick calls and was told that they don't squeeze people in. Well I can assure you that I have indeed squeezed in for an urgent apt in the past. I won't be going back. It's a shame too because I liked the vet that's taken care of my kitty the past several years. I ended up going to another facility. The vet there even said how good my cat is and that his exam only took a few minutes. I don't know if it was notated but if VCA SE had looked in the chart they may have seen a note that my cat is very well behaved. Let me add that I worked as a vet tech for years and have been a nurse for a long time. I already knew what treatment we would need. I get what its like to be in the medical field and be extremely busy, but turning away a client that's been long standing with several pets without offering to speak to a tech or to perhaps find room on the schedule the next morning, is not good practice.

I love this clinic. The staff is all fantastic especially the groomer Johnna. I have a small blind dog who can be rather (understandably) skittish. Tana just loves visiting Johnna and has never had any problems during a grooming since we started going to her. She's very patient and understanding that Tana needs a bit more patience and care than most dogs. I'd give her 10 stars if I could!

I went to VCA for the first time on Monday and my little 5 yera old Schnauzer was diagnosised with a Lymphatic disease. Doctor G is taking care of Jax and me while we navigate this. From Guthery who took my initial call to the Vet Tech mannng the parking lot this week and running drugs/food ( sorry i can't recall your name) to the person checking me out over the phone - they were all professional but very kind and warm. Dr. G considers my point and when I tell him what I'm doing he responds in a way that make me feel like I'm the best Dog Mom on the planet. While this is not a good diagnosis I know I've found a new team of friends to help teach me to be the best Mom I can be. Thank you so much.

Not very helpful at all. The lady I spoke to could hardly be bothered with the issue my cat is having and had no positive direction I could go in with my suffering cat. Not that classy of a place for how much I have paid them before for treating the same cat I was calling in about.

I’ve been going to this vet for about 20 years now and have never had an issue. They have always been nice, respectful and very informative until this last time. I Called like they asked but after the 15 min mark (literally 16 min) because of being on the phone with a teacher trying to help my son with homeschooling work. The guy that answered the phone was probably the rudest person I have EVER come across. He didn’t want to help whatsoever, not even a little!! It took him way too long to give me the next available time. I said just tell me when the next available is and he said “don’t tell me what to do”. It was like he didn’t care about my dog that is in pain and if I loose my dog because he wouldn’t see her I will be taking action. I explained (or tried) that my dog needs to get diagnosed and medicine to get her better. He didn’t care, not one single bit. He literally made me feel like he could give 2 s$&ts about a member of my family. I refuse to deal with him!!!
