We send all three of our pups here, ranging in 6 months old to 12 years and we have always received the best care and thoughtfulness from the team that works here. One of our pups got parvo after being fully vaccinated and the team here was …

We love VCA Central Park! Their receptionists, techs and vets are all extremely nice and professional, a cut above the previous vets we’ve gone to. They all clearly love animals and show it during every visit. Dr. Miller gave our dogs a more complete wellness exam than we had ever experienced before. We appreciate her attention to detail, and ability to explain things in ways we understand. I often have lots of questions, and the techs or vet have always been able to find answers for us, even if they don’t know them off-hand. We appreciate the prompt text and phone communication. As long as we live in Denver, we’ll be taking our animals here!

Terrible service!! I'm blown away at how they would deal with a dog dealing with an infection. When I arrived for my appointment, I was turned away. I was told they moved on when I came ten minutes behind. I was told the doctor had moved on, and my appointment was no longer open. I'm not entirely clear how this happens when I still have 25 mins left to be seen, and I called ahead to let them know I was arriving a little late. “No worries, we’ll see you when yohget here.” I've been visiting this clinic for three years and thought about switching a couple times. For example, they couldn't figure out a fundamental allergy issue with my dog that I learned about after visiting another veterinary one time! That being said, they were happy to charge me $250 a month for a shot that had no affects. Prescribe a food only they sell and ask me to pay fees for other tests unrelated to the allergy. They’ve repeatedly tried to upcharge me every time I'm there, not for the health of my dog but for their pocketbooks. Another vet confirmed this behavior. So, why didn't I leave sooner, proximity from my house. I'm the fool for staying with them. There are better vets in the city and care more for the animals then padding there pockets. Save yourself the headache.

Horrible customer service and respect for existing patients. We showed up ten minutes late for an appointment due to traffic, and the staff rudely refused to see our dog despite him having an injury that needed evaluation. Instead, they said “you are ten minutes late. We’ve moved on.” Never mind the fact that we’ve been clients there for three years and have waited well over 30 minutes to be seen. Just completely disrespectful with no ability to evaluate the situation rather than “follow policy.” When I told them we wouldn’t be back, the front desk woman (red hair) literally rolled her eyes and said “whatever.” What kind of respectable business behaves that way? So so disappointed.

Edited review. This place has changed over the years, and for the worse.

Used to be great veterinarians and management. Since VCA took over it's just great veterinarians. Now there's poor management and overpriced services. 5 stars for the veterinarians and 1 star for administration/management = 3 star review. Can't wait for their auto-reply form, if it's even working, to call and talk to the same weak management I'm disappointed with.

So busy taking new patients they can’t find time for their existing patients. Very expensive. For $1400 they would put my dog ( 22 lbs) to sleep, examine and remove two teeth they thought needed removal. I got a second opinion. That vet said her teeth looked great. A year later, my dog still has her teeth and I still have my $1400.

They have ONE solution, and if that doesn't work for you, your pet will suffer. Don't waste your time or money because you'll spend it all again when you switch vets.

I was disappointed with my experience with VCA. I recently relocated and it was my first time taking my dog to this vet. My dog's appointment did not even start until 30 minutes after the scheduled time. Once the appointment started, I felt like the goal of the appointment was to upsell me. My dog is 9 years old and has never had any health complications yet I felt as though the conversation with the vet was all about all the things I should be doing (paying) for my dog. They encouraged a blood panel which was pricey, but I figured it could potentially catch any future problems. Turns out the panel was not enough, the vet wants another one in 3 months to see where numbers are trending. The vet advised for prescription food that costs about 5 times what the food I'm using now costs. The whole appointment just felt like the priority of VCA was to get more money out of me instead of do what is best for my dog. I'm not denying the credibility of what the vet was suggesting or that a blood panel, prescription kibble, etc. is not valuable, but is it necessary?

Warning: They will charge you $35 per pet to drop them off for their appointment but won't tell you that until you arrive. Hi Rose, It doesn't matter if my heater works in the 3 degree weather, or that this is your company's policy that you don't mention until we're in the parking lot. This is also my time off, on a Saturday, when I'm suddenly being told that I have to either wait for 90 minutes in a car with no warning or be charged $70 for the privilege of going to my own home which is less than 10 minutes away. You had many opportunities to bring up this policy since I made this appointment over the phone, received two calendar reminders, was sent two appointment reminder emails, and received a call the day before to confirm my appointment. Good thing there's no cancelation fee. To her credit, Rose was extremely polite and pleasant when she asked if my heater was working, which didn't change the below freezing temperatures outside. My heater isn't the problem, your lack of communication is.

Veterinary care is up to standards, but services and products are overpriced. It seems not an opportunity is passed to maximize financial returns. Even when on hold on the telephone, infomercials are played. Perhaps all intended well, but it does not meet customer expectations. Have been going to this VCA for years, but decided to look for alternatives following our last $600-plus bill for routine treatment of our dog.

My wife and I went through a very emotional time having to make the tough decision to euthanize our dog. The staff was extremely helpful, understanding, and sympathetic. I cannot express how grateful we were to have a team that was so professional and caring to help us through this rough time. The after care was also very thoughtful and touching. GREAT JOB!!!!

The front desk here completely without compassion or care, very rude and not welcoming, i couldent bring my self to leave my baby to get a check up for the first time because of how i was treated by the receptionist, i would not recomend this place because of the lack of compassion and customer service, this place only cares about getting your money! This place is NOT RECCOMENDED!

My dog is my baby. The staff here treats her like their own. It's literally her favorite place to go. She gets all the love plus an extremely knowledge and professional staff taking care of her. **edit** Amanda went above and beyond today to ensure I knew everything that was happening when I dropped my dog off. I watched her communicate kindly with other clients and she made sure I was comfortable. Thank you Amanda! Thank you VCA for years of great service!

This facility is BAD!!! They have turned down my pet to be seen after knowing she is very ill. They did NOT give a reason just said we can not see her anymore. As a vet clinic, they are supposed to take care of animals seriously, and care for them especially when it is an emergency. They are RUDE, don't CARE about animals, and just in it for "the people" they like, and that is ONLY whites! I have observed when I was there several times the staff treats all other race negative! Do NOT go there if you are not white, and give them your money. They do NOT care for pets just money and whites!

We had been going here for years before the practice was sold. We loved it. Post sale it is average. Dr Miller has been great with our pup with a CCL tear and repair. We have had great care but have also had some troubles with a vet tech …

To be fair, the techs and doctors have given pretty good care to our dog over the years. However, their prices were always pretty premium. Today, we had a small disagreement about a $70 line item on a $800+ bill. I spoke to the manager to try to clear it up and she left me pretty sour about the place. After admitting that they made a mistake about the $70 fee, she refused to comp it and then was pretty rude to me. She told me that I shouldn't have a problem over something so "benign" and they shouldn't have to worry about "every little thing" when they are as busy as they are. She was rude and apathetic and had no interest in trying to resolve the problem I was reporting. Their loss, we can find another vet.

Our 9 month old puppy was acting weird and whining every once in awhile. Being new puppy parents, we called VCA and from the lady who answered the phone, to the tech and the vet, everyone was compassionate. Maverick is very skiddish around people and we were told a couple times that he was doing well (Even if you lied, we appreciate the fact that you knew we were nervous for him????) and liked the treats The vet was thorough and answered all of our questions!! Thanks for doing what you do and doing it so well!!!! Lisa, Jessica and Maverick

They always take such great care of our pups!! They are knowledgeable, kind, compassionate (toward pets AND people), and genuinely care. They take the time to go over different options for treatment and preventative measures, check in after appointments, and take the time to answer your questions. Our dogs love them, too!

So, if I had written my review last year it would’ve been completely different. I became a client at Stapleton Vet Hospital when my family moved to Denver, and initially our experience was great. Every doctor that we’ve ever seen there has been incredibly kind and competent. However over the last several months, those working there have become progressively more rude, and there’s zero focus on patient care. When they’ve been unable to schedule my dog for an appointment, there’s no empathy or even recommendations for where to go - they’ve simply said “sorry - call around the neighborhood”. Even just asking to have a doctor call me back to talk about my dogs condition (who I did get into another hospital and wound up needing surgery), they’ve refused to pass along the message for a doctor to call back; when I finally did insist a tech called to let me know that they couldn’t talk to me without seeing notes from the vet that squeezed my dog in when they couldn’t. The doctors have been incredibly apologetic, but the administrative staff that I’ve spoken with have been so unacceptably rude and apathetic. We’ve since switched to another Vet hospital in Stapleton, and I will never be a client of this hospital again.

The friendly staff are attentive to both owner and pet. They worked my dog in for a follow up after an attack that required a trip to the emergency vet on a Sunday.
