I didn’t care for the Veternarian I had there she didn’t really care about my pup Bailey or myself or our experience. There wasn’t communication. I had accidentally injured myself going in there and had to meet with an attorney after this visit, and had to hurry to get my dog in. The Veternarian there saw my injury and didn’t offer to help me. She didn’t care about me or try to help me. She saw I was hurt and didn’t offer me any cold compress and said nothing to help me just giggled like a child. Took my dog in the back and I didn’t learn anything. Not caring or kind instead she acted immature. Other Veterinarians are really kind and compassionate I’ve met they hug my pup ask if I want water etc.. Other Veternarians I’ve met they always go way out of their way to help my pup Bailey Miah and me have a very good experience,. Always try very hard other Veterinarians I’ve met to help answer questions and seem to truly have a love for dogs and animals. This Veterinarian there said nothing which was mean she just ran out to help others. Totally immature and unkind like I wanted to come in injured. Never again!

Park Hill Veterinary Medical Center is really outstanding in terms of the team, the space, and the care provided to my furry friends. I have worked extensively with Dr. Fleischman and Larissa, who provide the the most friendly and expert care.

The staff, nurse and doctor were very friendly HOWEVER I felt sold. I know that science diet is NOT a better dog food than Sojo’s. I know that grain free diets aren’t bad for dogs hearts. I know that dogs do not need heart worm prevention here and I felt very upset that my dogs fatty lump needed to be tested for cancer… I left bewildered and sold.. I will never go back nor will I recommend this veterinary practice.

Park Hill has its pros and cons. The staff there is great, though it's hard to make timely appointments, and it seems they are short staffed or have more turn over than most vets. With that said, their pricing is fair, the staff cares. I was disappointed in one visit when I brought my kitty to a dentistry appointment, and they had her for over four hours before they got to see her, in this instance, I would have loved to keep my kitty at home and comfortable until the vet was actually able to see her. But on that same note, they were very understanding with several visits, and they do a great job.

Nothing but bad experiences with both of my dogs there. Constantly pushing for more products to milk money out of us. They bullied us about our dog’s diet implying we were giving him heart disease because of the food we feed him, despite us telling them of our dog’s food related allergies.

We have been clients at Park Hill for years; they used to be a top-notch vet clinic. But in the last year and a half, their quality of service has drastically declined. They have incredibly high turnover, constantly seem short-staffed, they lose our prescriptions, we show up and the prescriptions aren't filled, no one seems to know whats going on. In addition, they are constantly pushing pricey procedures that seem unnecessary. We want to leave, but it would cost us more to start over at another vet clinic than to stay. It's so disappointing to deal with poor customer service and care.

Regular clients for 9 years but their customer service has declined rapidly over the past few months. They keep moving our appointments, or forget about them all together (which we take time away from work to accommodate). The last time I dropped a poo sample, they left me sitting in my car 30 mins before I called again to ask where I could leave it (bc nobody was coming to get it and I had to get to work). The picture is of my bloody dog who they refused to see EVEN though I had made an appointment on 22 July at 11:15 for the following Saturday (soonest post emergency vet visit) but they were "too busy" with regular checkups. No apology or anything. Now our dog is in worse shape because we wasted our time waiting when we could have gone somewhere else.

Pretty poor customer service with employees either complaining openly to guests about issues behind the scenes or blank voids for personalities that ignore pet owners. The only vet unable to give a 9 pound cat an examination without forcing the cat to take “restless leg syndrome” medication. When I was turned away due to the staffs inability to manage a routine check in, I was promised a reduced nurse fee on my next visit. Not only did the representative on the phone laugh when I reminded them of this agreement, they ignored my follow up email. I can imagine this place prioritizes quick turn around, upsells like a mechanic shop, and benefits from their affluent location. Hard pass.

My dog had ear problems (itching, irritation). Took him in and the vet didn’t want to swab his ears because he was “squirmy”... he’s a 40lb puppy and don’t you have staff trained to hold animals? She just assumed it was mites, we paid for expensive meds and used it as instructed. He didn’t go with us on a trip because we were afraid it was mites and she said she wouldn’t clear him for travel anyway. We called recently to get it refilled and not only did it take me 2 days to get in touch with the front desk, but it’s been 3 weeks and we still have not received the refill. Just went to another vet and they swabbed his ears which showed no mites. So either we treated him or gave him unnecessary meds, we’ll never know. Sorry, not coming back to Park Hill and will warn everyone to avoid it.

Edit: we have stopped going to Park Hill Vet as the service has really slipped over the past year. I was going to update to a single star but I do know that they care about the animals they care for but the service has gotten too bad for us to continue taking our pets here. PHVMC is so convenient but we just can’t continue bringing our pets here. Love the team at Park Hill VMC, everyone from the front lobby staff to the techs to the amazing veterinarians! Our dogs especially love Dr. McGuire but honestly everyone at the team is so professional and calming to our sometimes rambunctious 3 pups!

If you have a pet, with very straightforward follow-up and care needs, then I do think Park Hill is a great vet option. The reason I comment in this way, is because we recently took our dog in for what was supposed to be a routine mass removal surgery, but when things started to go not as planned on his post-op day 1 and I was communicating these concerns with the Park Hill team, the problem was not triaged appropriately. As a result, we ended up seeking care at CSU and, to not go into too much detail, ended up with a very unexpected, permanent result that has been life changing for all of us (both our dog and us). After this happened, I spent a lot of time reflecting on how our follow up care was handled at Park Hill. I decided to communicate with Park Hill, in a calm coming from a place of positive intent tone, my perspective as a dog parent and how I felt my concerns for him on post-op day 1 were not taken seriously, and clearly based on the outcome that we ultimately ended up with, were not triaged appropriately. My intent with this email communication was really to make sure they understood what happened from our point of view so they could provide education to their team and create process improvement strategies in order to avoid a situation like this from happening in the future for other pet parents. I thought for sure given this communication and the outcome that ended up occurring after a surgery performed in their clinic, that at least the owner would have reached out to me to confirm she heard my feedback and say something like, she’d be sure to address the breakdown in the triage process. But the biggest letdown in this whole situation, was that I heard nothing. Absolutely nothing. So, if you need routine checkups, spay/neutering, and teeth cleanings, then I think Park Hill is great. But if anything is needed outside of that, then you may consider seeking vet care elsewhere.

We had a very good experience with Dr. Sawyer Howell and all of the staff. Thumbs and Paws Up for this practice!

Cat had a respiratory infection for 2 years. Was told it was asthma and tried everything from oral steroid (not good to take long term) an inhaler (200$\refill\month.) Brought her in for what they said was an infection in her mouth. Gave her one antibiotic shot that cleared every single thing up. Guess they start from most expensive option to least here.

We have used Park Hill Vet for many years, with all 3 of our pups. We loved everything about the vet, even though the prices are a bit higher than other vets in the area. The staff was great, the doctors were even better, then all of a sudden, some doctors left, and that's when everything started to crumble. The customer service has gone so far downhill. The original girls that work at the desk are great, but the new people, not so much. I get that times are busy, but it's almost impossible to get a call back, get an appointment within a week, or even get a prescription filled faster than at least 72 hours. We have tried and tried to stick around, as the vets we loved left, Dr. Margot is great, but I feel as if she is overwhelmed with the amount of patients. As mentioned before, we sincerely loved Park Hill Vet, and the staff, but we are making the difficult decision to find an alternative vet as Park Hill has just become to unreliable. :( Again, I get that times are busy, sometimes businesses may be understaffed, etc... but when you start feeling as if you, or your pet are not of priority, it's time to find something else. We'll miss you guys, and it's been a great fun, but the level of service has tanked in the past year. Best of luck.

We had been going to Park Hill Vet with our two dogs for years. They were fine, albeit a bit more expensive than other vets. I chalked it up to being a smaller, neighborhood vet and was comfortable paying extra for the close proximity and sense of community. Unfortunately they are NOT the friendly and helpful neighborhood vet I thought they were. One of our dogs developed a nasty case of “happy tail” syndrome, when the dog wags their tail so hard against something that it breaks the skin and gets blood everywhere. It’s nearly impossible to keep a bandage in place to help stop the bleeding. When we ran out of the vet wrap Park Hill Vet had sent us home with when our older dog hurt her paw, I couldn’t find it anywhere in town. I ordered some online and called up the vet to see if we could borrow/buy a little vet wrap from them to hold us over for the weekend. They said they’d check and call me back shortly. After 4 hours I called again (I was seriously struggling to keep our dog’s tail from getting blood EVERYWHERE). They put me on hold to check again and came back saying they would need to schedule a full exam of the pup’s tail with a doctor first. I asked about the cost and they weren’t able to provide an estimate. All I needed was a little bit of vet wrap and maybe some kind words, but they acted like I was asking them to break a law. After expressing my frustration at their lack of flexibility and helpfulness, they told me the head nurse would call me back. That was three days ago with no word. I really thought Park Hill Vet was there to support me and my pets. I was shocked and saddened by their apathy, so we will be finding a new vet. It’s tough finding a good vet and I’d recommend looking elsewhere than Park Hill Veterinary Medical Center.

This is the best vet I've ever been to in Denver. I had another that I loved who would get another mention but she moved up to be closer to her home in Loveland. But the care my dogs have gotten here has been amazing. I had one 15 year old dog who needed a lot of attention for the last 6 months with frequent changes in med regimen and lots of calls and questions and PH Vet were always there to answer. In the end when it was time for her to go, they made it the easiest smoothest most humane possible experience for both my dog and the humans too - even in these challenging COVID times. Their costs are more reasonable than the other vets that I have used in the Denver area also. I really can't say enough good things about this Veterinary practice. It wouldn't be right for me not to mention that the caliber of the Veterinary Nurses and Techs is absolutely top notch as well. My only reservation about recommending them is that it's already tough to get an appointment because people know they are great. If I encourage more people to go.... well. y'know. But if you love your animals, you want to go here.

We've been taking our pets here since they opened. Their dedication, hospitality, and care is amazing. We will continue to bring our babies here.

So far I've brought two of my five pets here and I've had great experiences both times, I recently moved to the state so switching vets is usually a tough process. My animals came out of their appointments calm and happy, and the doctors and staff are kind and extremely competent. They use a medication system that will deliver your pets meds to your home and you can even setup autopay and auto ship, it's super easy and gives you a HUGE price break. The doctors go above and beyond to research and weigh out what treatment options are best for your animals then present all options to you, and that's an excellent quality in a veterinarian. I highly recommend Park Hill Veterinary Medial Center.

Clinician kept trying to up sell me when I took my dog in for her rabies shot and I didn't appreciate that at all.

Don't bother. Our dog, who has been there before, was very sick. We called and emailed - got one odd response and, despite multiple calls and emails, heard nothing from them. Poor communication = poor service. Would not recommend this place to anyone. We wound up going to Max Fund clinic - a non-profit who were responsive, polite and helpful.

Have used vet services here for my many Borzoi over the years. All were treated like a family member by the staff. Their veterinary staff is excellent. Always felt my animals were well cared for.

The educated staff here at Park Hill has continued to provide great care for our Mini Australian Shepherd. So much in fact, we choose to drive 30 mins across town to utilize this wonderful veterinarian office. Thank you!

I called in yesterday at 10:15am seeking a prescription for my dog, because he is incredibly afraid of fireworks. I spoke with Heather and explained that we just discovered this fear and that with the fourth of July coming up neighbors were already lighting them. She informed me the doctor would review the request and they would get back to me later that day. I called back around 5pm and spoke with Heather again who then said the prescription needed to be approved by the doctor who saw him most recently and she wasn't in that day. So, we had to endure another evening of my dog freaking out for 1 1/2 hours. Fast forward to today at 5pm and I call again and speak with Heather. I asked if we could get the prescription today and she said "probably not." When I expressed that this wasn't an acceptable answer and asked if I could speak with someone else, she told me no. She then tried to tell me that I said I didn't need it until July 4th. I asked if another doctor could review the request and was told "no." Horrible attitude. Horrible service.

I had to take my cat in for a checkup. She doesn’t enjoy physical touch from strangers, so I was nervous to take her to the vet. I looked up reviews online, and thought they sounded like a good place. I have nothing but good things to say. I am thankful they stayed open during the Covid 19 lock down. Their method was well organized and easy on clients. We stayed outside, but the vet called to give us a detailed overview and told me my cat did great and ate some pate during her exam. I was so thankful they offered her a snack! It was such a nice touch and made me feel at ease that they truly care about their clients. The vet gave me a follow up call and answered all of my questions without rushing. Their prices aren’t outrageous and the quality of care you get is unbeatable. They treated us as I feel they would their own pets. Thanks, Park Hill Vet!

It's always clean, doesn't have an animal odor which is saying something. Prices are a bit too steep for some things, but all in all nice place.

Over the years, Park Hill Vet has shown great patience with my skittish dog, Toby. I’m sad to leave this review but as I prepare to move away, my last 2 phone calls for assistance have been very disappointing. On May 27, I called about a toenail injury and followed instructions to email photos to the vet. I never received a response to my email. I followed up with a text message on the same day that stated “Hi. I emailed some photos of Toby’s torn nail. He’s in a lot of pain and I’m not sure what to do.” I never received a response to my text message. I was so frustrated and finally just took him to an emergency vet to get assistance. In fact, no ever contacted me about the injury period. Today, I called to ask about doing a dental cleaning and wellness exam on the same day. I was told that’s not usually allowed but a message is in for the vet to ask if it can be done. I’m fairly confident this has been done for Toby in the past, who has to take anti-anxiety medication just to come to the vet. I waited 7 hours to hear back if it could be scheduled together but no response. I’m saddened that the level of service, for me, seems to have slipped. I’ve been faithfully bringing my dog here since 2016 and the lady I spoke to today didn’t recognize me or my dog. She asked me if I’ve ever brought my dog in before. No more. Even if I wasn’t moving, I would look for another vet that was more responsive and followed up in a timely manner. And also a vet that would remember a pretty unforgettable dog that has been a patient for 4 years.
