I just moved to the area and my 8 year old Labrador was experiencing gastrointestinal problems. I took him to an emergency vet but when he did not get better I quickly looked up animal clinics.When I called Belcaro to schedule a follow up and new patient appointment for my pup they quickly scheduled a weekend appointment and then when I called to change it to Friday they were extremely accommodating. Dr.Sweet was very professional and thorough when she went over the care plan and answered all of my questions. I will continue to bring my lab as well as my golden here. I was so worried about finding a great vet for my boys and am so grateful for Belcaro Animal Hospital.

Used to live in an apt. across the street, so we started going to Belcaro out of convenience. After moving and dealing with a few other terrible vets, we started making the trip across town to bring our pets back to Belcaro. The vets are support staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. This is the only vet I will ever go to.

After recently moving across the country, the process of finding a new vet for my three fur babes was stressful. I researched every vet in the area to make sure I found them the best care. Even after having done the research, admittedly I was still nervous. That is, until I actually visited this clinic for the first time. From the first moment I arrived, everyone I interacted with was especially kind, patient and communicative with my partner and I as we expressed our concerns and shared our pets' history. I've never seen my dog take to new people so quickly! The vet was incredibly knowledgeable and took so much time to speak with us, alleviating my concerns. They were respectful yet firm while discussing care options, which I appreciated greatly. I truly cannot recommend this clinic and it's incredible staff highly enough. I'm so happy to have my pets established here now and can rest easily knowing they are in excellent hands.

Our pets get excellent care at Belcaro. Mike Herman is our vet and he gives extraordinary care to our pets. I can't say enough good things about this clinic. I highly recommend Belcaro Animal Hospital to any one who is looking for a vet. I continually recommend this practice to everyone I know to include my family.

They create a space that is warm and family-like for you and your pet. When we had to put our Jack down, they were kind and understanding. They've kept everyone safe through this pandemic in creating a curb side drop off that maintains safety and calmness for our pets.

They took good care of our pups while they were alive, and were very conscientious and thoughtful during the difficult end of life stage. When we had a billing dispute the staff were prompt and professional in addressing it.

Dr Herman and the staff are absolutely amazing. Very personable, helpful and highly qualified. I wouldn’t trust my dog Sage with just anyone but I have the utmost faith and confidence in Dr. Herman and his staff.

Dr Herman and staff are wpnderful. Everything is followed up and explained very clearly. This is the 3rd dog that we have had Dr. Herman for. He is kind and compassionate to both the dog and to the owner.

I have always had great experiences taking my dog here for veterinary services. They care about the animals here, and will give expert advice. I highly recommend using them to take care of your furry friends!

Belcaro has been our vet clinic since 1991 and we wouldn't go anywhere else. They have given us superb care through five Labradors and two cats, from babyhood to their last moments--where they have cried with us. They have handled chronic conditions, cancer, broken teeth, a puppy with 36 inches of carpet binding jammed in the intestines, a cat's love of ribbon (also jammed in the gut) dirty ears, nail clipping, behavioral issues and just routine visits. Every time we are there, they give personal attention by listening and then explaining. Nothing is too minor, and if it is a serious condition we know our guyzos have the best of care. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Have been going to Belcaro for many years 15+ and they are the best veterinary office! Good customer service, knowledgeable staff, and competitive pricing! They are busy but always make time for pet care! Highly recommend this business!

I needed a new Vet during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, and my dog had a sore that needed attention right around the same time I got diagnosed with COVID-19. I called Belcaro to see if they would accept a new patient and if they could help us without being able to see him physically. They worked with me to get all his vaccination history transferred over and treated his sore with photos I emailed from my phone and a few phone calls. They even let a friend of mine pick up his medication since I couldn’t do so myself! They are also currently working with me to try treating some digestion issues my dog has that his previous Vet ignored. I would highly recommend Belcaro to anyone in need of a new vet!

We love Dr. Herman at Belcaro Animal Hospital. He is always incredibly caring and responsive to our family's needs, and Coco knows he always is there to calmly and reassuringly help her.

Front desk staff was terrible. I’ve never encountered a vet clinic where the person at the front desk was so incredibly rude. Usually vet staff is empathetic and kind but here, you feel like you’re just inconveniencing them by asking questions. The answers you get are short with several sighs and “ughs”. Really disappointing and will not be going back.

My experience today with Belcaro was not great! I believe it was my fault to begin with but the way the staff handled the situation was incredibly unprofessional and rude. I understand they are probably busy and short staffed but that is still no reason to treat a customer poorly. To be upfront: Dr. Sweet ended up being very kind (reason for the 2stars) but the front desk staff was incredibly rude. I had an appointment at 11am which I was running late for so I called. They told me they have a 15 minute grace period and will have to reschedule if it’s any later. So I show up 15 minutes late on the dot (which I told them my ETA ahead of time). They told me my appointment had passed but they could hold my cat for the day and get her in when they had time. 4:30pm rolls around and I have not received a call or voicemail from them. So I call 3 times and left a voicemail. They were completely unresponsive. 5:10pm rolls around and I call again, the front finally desk picks up and says “can you get here before 5:30 which is when we close?” (I live 30 minutes away with rush hour traffic). She gave me a very rude “ughhhhhhhhh” when I tell her that and that I had been calling/ waiting to hear from THEM and that I now won’t be able to make it on time. She said “we don’t get voicemails when we are closed (which is weird in my opinion but whatever) and regardless I called well before they closed and also why didn’t they call ME? Overall, I apologized for the initial delay in the morning and do take full responsibility, but the hostility and lack of communication from the entire staff will have me taking my cat elsewhere.
