I've been taking my dog (and my previous canine) to Polo Springs for over a decade for boarding as well as standard vaccinations. I can only speak on behalf of the way I was recently treated by the staff to suggest something at Polo has …

Dr. Gerleman and Dr. McIntosh have both taken amazing care of our dogs every since we moved to Colorado Springs (6 years ago). Sincerely caring, extremely competent and we trust them completely. We now live in Peyton, but still choose to bring our furry kids to them for their care.

Not a fan of how they treated my dog. Vet assistants not trained properly.

I wish I would've read the reviews for this place before I took my puppy here. They care more about money than animals. I went in with his vaccination record that the breeder gave me which was also signed off by a vet from another state that I got him from and they told me they would not honor it and I had to vaccinate him all over again. They wanted to charge me 400.00. I just had them give him the last vaccine that he actually needed and left. Honestly they seemed cold and not really too caring. Definitely all about money. I would NEVER recommend this place.

Extortionists. I used to work for labexpress(the company that runs their more complicated tests) and these people are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to veterinarian service. There are plenty of better places in Colorado Springs. I brought my cat here years ago, he passed I believe because polo springs had me wait for over 3 hours for tests that weren't getting ran. They were clearly more interested in the wealthy couple with the greyhound in the lobby. The vet and the couple chatted for a very long time while my cats liver was failing in their examination room. After 3 hours of waiting for tests, they told me their machines were broken so they couldn't do tests. They still tried to charge me over $500 and told me to try the emergency room. I went to the emergency room and spent $2300+ on getting him a feeding tube because at that point his liver was failing so bad it was the only option. They took one look at his skin under his ear and said "its yellow, his livers failing". Polo springs is nothing compared to Powers Pet Emergency. All of this broke my heart, out of the 3 cats we had he was MINE and he loved me to death. Instead of not charging me for tests they couldn't do, they kept his samples and tested them about a week later. Then they called 911 on me and had the police talk to me, the police said "im not sure why they called us". LOL. Then they went as far as putting this fake bill against my credit because they have that power as a company. Once again, EXTORTIONISTS! Thank you Polo Springs Vet for traumatizing me with your veterinarian service. The owner(s) of this establishment will die in shame of what you do to your customers for money. Enjoy your stolen vacations. I never paid you, never will and my credits great.

I Recently took my rabbit in because of a growth he had developed. The consultation was less than $50, but charged me $280 for for my antibiotics and cleaning solution. (I actually think that $280 included the consultation) but when they handed me a quote to remove the mass for roughly $1400, I decided to look elsewhere. My parents have recommended their veterinary clinic at Village Center Veterinary. They were able to get me in right away charged me $70 for the consultation, and a $121 to remove the mask. Both parties are very nice and professional, unfortunately for Polo they were way out of my price range.

We have brought our pets to Polo Springs for over 10 years. They have taken great care of our animals whether it be a routine visit, day care, boarding, or emergency appointments. I cannot say enough good things about their service and care for our animals. They definitely go above and beyond for their customers and their pets!

I had asked our vet in March to do my dog's bordatella (at the time of his regular vaccines) for an upcoming board and train. The day before I was supposed to drop my dog off, I realized that was missing from his shot records so they never actually gave it. It was a Saturday afternoon and literally no one was open except Polo Springs. I frantically called them and they were able to get him in that day and he was able to still go to his board and train without issue. The staff I encountered were great! We typically use a "discount veterinarian" so I was expecting to pay a lot to Polo Springs, but their price was actually comparable and fair! I am so impressed with their service, hours, compassion, and prices, I will be switching all of my pets to Polo Springs!

Worst care ever for our dogs. They don’t give proper care. They give misinformation. Dr. Gerleman blamed us for what was wrong with our dog, and is not cooperating with sending our dogs records to the new vet. If you want your pet to die, take them to polo springs to see Dr. Gerleman.

Absolutely terrible. We took our dog there at first when he had seizures. They never tested as to why he had them - we didn’t find out until the day we put him down that he had heart failure. We even took him in that same week he had his seizures. Our 2nd dog was taken in and they acted like we had known about a mass in his stomach and never told us about it. Our puppy now has parvo. They never ran blood work, never gave us alternative hospitalization options, and gave us outdated treatment information. Everything they told us just felt wrong. Now our pup is in the ICU and circling the drain. Dr Gerleman has terrible bedside manner and doesn’t listen to what we tell her about how the dog is feeling. Dr Macintosh is ok. The nurses are ok too. Altogether it’s not a great place.

I brought my sweet boy here for a teeth cleaning/extraction and they were amazing! They called a few times to give me updates, which I really appreciated. They all talked so highly of my kitty and I knew he was in good hands. A big thank you for all the love and care from me and my Nubby boy.

Dr. Gerleman was excellent. She took the time to thoroughly explain our cat's issues. She explained the reasoning behind testing. She is the most thorough vet we have ever been to. We have complete trust in her.

Great service, kind with my ill dog, and didnt try and force expensive treatments or tests. The only downside was that we were there for 4 hours!! Don't plan on a quick visit. Good care of my dog, though.

Dr. Gerleman was a breathe of fresh air in my continuous search for a vet that does thorough work and is pleasant to talk with as well. I will be coming back specifically because of her. I would highly recommend Polo Springs to anyone looking for an honest and reliable vet that genuinely cares about the animals and their health. Thanks so much!

I apologize bc I do not remember the name of the vet we saw at Polo but she was very kind and made me feel that my pup was cared for. Their prices were good. I was able to get an appointment at the last minute which was so great. And I was told to call if I needed anything at all. I will continue to come to this vet.

Thank you for the continued care of our three fur kids. I appreciate the curbside checkups for our kids during COVID and working with us to figure out what we're doing for their dentals next year. I am not happy that you will no longer work with online resources for prescriptions so we have been unable to get our dental cat food prescription filled.

Polo springs has been a wonderful veterinarian for my pets. The staff is very caring in times of heartache with my fur babies. I am thankful that I found them!

Last week, my dog Trouble was in pain. He was 14 years old with extreme mobility issues and was struggling to pull himself up to eat/drink/bathroom use. I didn't know what to do. I called Polo Springs at first and set up an appointment, originally in no rush. An hour later, Trouble was struggling even more and decided to call back to see if I could be seen that day. I was granted an appointment on Wednesday Oct 28, with all the horrors of being that may be the last time driving to the vet's office with my best companion on the back seat. It definitely didn't make it any easier when sadly, Dr. Lisa said that would be best for Trouble. We cried a lot, I had second thoughts - my husband and I weren't pushed one way or the other, it was our decision and we were given plenty of time to discuss/evaluate. My dog was in deep misery. What kind of life do you give your dog if he can't walk anymore? Sure, I could've probably medicated him, but he was sleeping 18+ hours and when he was awake, he was just laying there - it wasn't a life for my once perky pup. We made the decision and it was all for the very best. Dr. Lisa was more than a doctor that day, she became family, she became a therapist (I was nothing short of an emotional wreck) she became a fellow dog owner, who understood exactly what thoughts of regret we would have and to help us see the overall benefit we were giving Trouble. That feeling of no longer in pain, no longer medicated. He was free. Yesterday, my husband picked up Trouble from the vet. He's finally home. He's a bit quieter now, than he's ever been, but he's finally with us and we can cherish the box forever. He was our dog, our person (he believed he was human) and our best friend. Thank you so much Polo Springs staff, doctors, and especially Dr. Lisa for helping us give Trouble the best care he has ever had as well as the best aftercare for his next journey whatever that may be. :)

$250 for an exam, fecal and parasite meds. We now go to Claremont Ranch where the same service is $30-$50.

Very welcoming, informative, patient and compassionate staff, we really liked this clinic. And our cat liked them so much he ran back to the clinic right after coming home from the appointment just to visit them and they were sweet enough to call us.

Polo Springs staff treated me and my pet with compassion. They alleviated the pain of a difficult visit with a nature of caring, knowledgeable staff, and empathy for my situation. I highly recommend this veterinarian office and staff as they provided me with the best, most kind service I have received in the Springs. Thank you so much.

Our 14.5 year old dog Buddy has recently started having serious health problems. We’ve spent more time at Polo Springs in the last week than any other vet office his entire life combined. No matter how it turns out, Dr. McIntosh and Dr. Gerleman have been nothing short of amazing. Truly appreciate the care they are giving to our old man.

My kitty became very ill suddenly on a Saturday afternoon. (Things always happen on a weekend!) When we called to see if they were open they were so kind and said they would see us as it sounded urgent. We were greeted by such professional and compassionate professionals. We left our kitty there overnight and were amazed when we came to pick her up the next day! She was like our kitty was before becoming ill. They gave us meds and took great care to explain the instructions for care at home and they called several times to check and see if things were still on track with our kitty getting well. I would highly recommend Polo Springs Veterinary Clinic for compassionate and very skilled professional care. Wonderful personnel!

I have been taking my dogs here for all our pet needs, both vetenary and boarding, for the last 12 years. They great. They treat your pet with the quality of care as if your child. The Vets and staff are wonderful to deal with. I highly recommend them.

I read all the posts about costs for services, are you kidding me, I had a wonderful experience and am bringing my puppies back here. They are very kind and helpful and fast with longer hours than any vet office. I have never felt so …

Our golden, Finn, had an obstruction which required surgery the same day we brought him in. Dr. Gerleman, Dr. McIntosh, Kristen and the team were able to expedite surgery, take alternative measures to reduce Finn's recovery time and significantly reduce our total cost. We are very grateful.
