I have had nothing but amazing experiences with Crossroads! Both veterinarians have been amazing, and I have a fearful pup who is not easy to deal with. I trust them completely.

Reading all these negative reviews I must say that I am not surprised. A close friend of mine volunteered there for school and she had a horrible experience there; so bad she even questioned if she even wanted to pursue this field. She told me the lady doctor there is excellent and the owner was not bad but apparently they have a younger vet there that made the whole experience very unpleasant; from how he handled the animals to also how he treated the staff. She is very close with a few of the girls that no longer work there and if everything they are saying about this place/doctor is true this place really needs to be looked into.

Dr. Hyden and all the Crossroads animal staff are absolutely top notch! We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and so we’ve encountered just about every emergency or regular vet visit possible and our furry family has always had excellent care.

Best vets ever,I found out yesterday Rocky my dog had bone cancer and a broken leg from the cancer,he was in excruciating pain so sadly I needed to put him to sleep, worse thing ever,Dr.Hayden has been my vet for 8 years he came in on his day off when the clinic was closed so Rocky would not suffer and he could be put to sleep. He was beyond kind and compassionate I am sure nowhere else would do that.Thankyou so much!

I've been going to Crossroads since I was a little kid with all our families pet's (20 years) and have had nothing but good experiences with them. Absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone.

The doctors and receptionists at Crossroads have always been caring and friendly to myself and my dog. My dog is very timid with people he doesn't see all of the time so they've always gone above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. I've recommended Crossroads to everyone over the last several years and they've changed veterinarians due to my recommendations. If you ever need a veterinarian I highly recommend them for they truly care and the costs are reasonable ????

Dr Heiden has taken care of our animals for over 15 years, and in that time we have become good friends. He’s the kind of guy we could call anytime with our pet health issues and as never let us down. All of our animals, and we have quite a few, are alive and well because of him and his staff. This Doc is the real deal, and I feel lucky we found him.

Crossroads has been my vet for many years how and always goes the extra mile for my fur kids. They treat my pets like their own. Dr Hyden and Dr Paaymans are some of the most compassionate hardworking vets I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The techs and front desk staff are always kind and take the time to listen to concerns and help the animals they work with. I moved further south but will continue to use crossroads because of the care they provide my pets. Nobody is perfect and yes as crazy at it sounds they are actually human beings and not veterinary robots (mind blown). They do their best and constantly strive to provide the best care my pets, my family, and myself have experienced. Thank you crossroads for making me never worry whole my babies are in your hands.

As a first time pet owner, I have been consistently impressed by all of the staff at Crossroads Animal Hospital. They are professional, take the time to educate and explain and are compassionate at every visit. Top-notch across the board.

My family has been taking our furry animals to Crossroads for an upwards of 15 years. From the dogs to the guinea pigs and rabbits, Dr. Hyden and staff have always made sure that they were treated with respect and got the highest care possible. I have tried other vets for my chickens and ducks (Crossroads does not service these exotics), and although they are friendly and get the job done, the environment feels different. Crossroads staff treat my pets like they are one of their own pets and ensure that everything is done that can be and all questions are answered. I had a Maltese that was almost 17 years old and did not look the healthiest with his ribs showing and his loss of hair. Dr. Hyden ensured to me that he was still healthy and although he may not have looked the prettiest, he was still flourishing and thriving at his old age. I have talked to others that had their vet tell them when their pet looked like that it was time to put them down and end the suffering... when in reality the vet did not even do an exam, and just wanted the person to pay for the euthanasia. I cannot recommend Crossroads Animal Hospital enough. They are not only friendly and reliable, they are one of the only vets in town that has not merged with a vet association. Dr. Hyden charges what he thinks is reasonable and if needed he works with the owner to come up with a price.

I cannot recommend Crossroads highly enough. The entire staff is caring, compassionate, calm, helpful, knowledgable, and so so friendly. They have always worked with me when I needed a last minute appointment for an urgent issue, when I’ve run late or needed to reschedule. They are not the cheapest (or most expensive) option in town but in my experience they have never pushed for expensive or unnecessary treatment. Quite the opposite in fact I find that Dr. Hyden and Dr. Paaymans have always offered very practical advice and multiple options of treatment. Every time they have encouraged me that we calmly choose to balance my pets wellness and immediate needs with being financially smart and practical. I have never felt judged even when I’ve declined or delayed a treatment. My decision is accepted and immediately we find other options that will fit our needs. I appreciate their care and thoughtfulness and support for me as well in making sometimes difficult or expensive decisions. I know that because of it my pets are getting the best treatment possible, even when I choose not to break the bank. I switched to Crossroads Animal Hospital after being a patient at another vet in town for 3+ years. The other vet office was very competent and provided good care but they just didn’t show any real connection to my pets despite very regular visits. It may be a bit dramatic but i really wanted to find a veterinary practice that would coo over my pup and cat. I wanted a vet that had a very warm bedside manner and a staff that was interested in connecting and bonding with the animals that were there. Both doctors, every vet tech, every single member of staff is so friendly and makes my pets feel comfortable and really makes me feel like they care about my pets’ happiness. My dog has multiple nicknames there that different staff members use! It makes me feel so warm and I’m so glad I listened to some reviews back in 2019 and switched to Crossroads Animal Hospital. I recently moved across town but they will continue to be my primary vet, no question.

We’ve taken multiple generations of pets to Crossroads for care under Dr. Hyden. While working through a complex diagnosis for one of our dogs, Dr. Hyden has been very thorough and honest with all options available for our pup. And while you can’t put a price tag on caring for our furry family members, the prices always seem reasonable and are less expensive than what I’ve heard from friends about other offices.

We have taken three generations of dogs to the team at Crossroads. We have been treated with nothing but respect and compassion for our animals, from hurt legs and weird bumps, all the way to the day we have had to say goodbye to a loved pup. Dr. Hyden and his staff have been thorough and given amazing information over the years, and if there is a service we needed that couldn't be done there, they have referred us to other wonderful clinics that know Dr. Hyden by name. I cannot recommend this clinic enough to take care of your furry family.

Dr. Hyden is the best possible vet we've ever had. He's taken care of all my labs and now my bloodhound. He treats my dogs and family like his own. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. I would highly recommend this office to everyone who is looking to be respected and give respect in return. Thanks for all you do Dr. Hyden!

So now we're using friends to leave good reviews to cover the bad ones? Unfortunately that place has no integrity or moral values, it's all a business without real care for animals. Beating up a dog that came out of anesthesia and still allow the doctor to practice doesn't show care not even humanity and it happened more then once....I'm experiencing retaliation so bring it on and you'll be sorry

I am very grateful for Dr Hyden and the staff at Crossroads Animal Hospital. My dog had fallen ill the day after Christmas. The wait at the animal ER was 24 hours and I was watching him getting worse. Dr Hyden immediately brought us into the office, did labs, X-rays, and gave him treatment to turn his situation around. Dr Hyden was thorough and compassionate and kept me aware of his condition. Sparky was in and out of the office quickly despite being an add on to the doctors schedule. The bill was a fraction of the cost it would have been at the ER. Because of his quick care, my dog is healthy today. Thank you to Dr Hyden and the staff at Crossroads, you’re a blessing.

My wife took one of our dogs there to have him checked out and told me that the vet she saw was pretty rough with how he handled our dog. He also seemed very dismissive with her concerns. She requested that he never see our dogs anymore. I came across another post where someone else has had the same issues with this doctor. If he treated our dog like this in front of my wife who knows how he treats them when they take them away.We no longer go there because we shouldn't have to ask for our dog to be treated nice at a vets office of all places. I know they have a few vets there so hopefully the other ones are kinder to our pets.

I just wanted to take this chance to tell you how wonderful this clinic is. Dr. Hyden has been my vet for 20 years and he has been nothing but kind to us. He genuinely cares about his patients as well as their human parents. He is very thorough at each visit and never has us do any unnecessary tests or spend any unnecessary money. I respect him alot and know that he always has my dogs best interest at hand and NOT how he can make money. This means alot to me. His staff has been nothing but nice. What I really love is how much his practice means to him so if you ever have an issue he will get to the bottom of it and fix it.

TLDR: I was given false information and told I did not exist in their system after creating an appointment/account and giving them my credit card information for a deposit. I had to wait almost two weeks to bring in my puppy for an initial appointment but was told they have 0800 walk-ins, and that would replace my initial appointment. When I did this today, I was told they do not do walk-ins, just emergency visits. And I was told I do not exist in their system and that I probably called Animal Bluffs down the road. Despite me giving the front desk ladies my name, number, set appointment date, and the exact time and duration of when I initially called them, they front acted like it never happened and I must be mistaken. After returning home I remembered they took my credit card information for deposit; when I called them I spoke to a different person who easily found my information and appointment. Thankfully he canceled my appointment and deleted my card information. I immediately called Animal Bluffs down the road and was given a same week appointment.

Crossroads Animal Hospital has been used by my family for years! Way back when Dr. Derek Shubin had ownership with Dr. Craig Hyden as his Associate, and now under Dr. Hyden. When I finally got a dog of my own, CRAH was my first choice. Everything scares me as a new dog mom of a breed that seems to be quite particular. They've heard concern in my voice and helped me as much as they could, and they've also talked through concerns on the phone with me (I am sure I bother them at least once a week!) and have always been polite and professional. Sully has seen Dr. Kasmer (on an "emergency" basis) and Dr. Paaymans for a check up. They have been great with addressing all of my concerns/questions. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

By far the kindest staff! I took all 3 of my doggos here for an Annual Wellness Exam and we were in and out within 1 hour while having great service! Crossroads will be our Vet for the rest of the time I am here in the Springs! I can’t say enough great things!

I've read all the great reviews and cannot understand why they have been so unresponsive to me. I would be a new patient. A friend recommended this veterinary clinic. I called on Tuesday morning to make an appointment. First, what business does not answer their phone during business hours but has a message saying they will call you back within 24 hours?!!!? I left a message. I got no call back on Tuesday and no call back on Wednesday. So, I called for a second time on Thursday morning, got the same unprofessional message and no call back. It is now Friday afternoon and still no call back. I've double-checked the phone number. I have it correct. Even if they happen to call me back at this point, I would never take my beloved dog here. If I could give this business '0' stars, I would.

I really don't know how my visit could have been better. Everyone was kind, friendly and professional, there were no delays and my dogs were treated like the valuable family members that they are. I have recommended Crossroads and Drs. Paymaans and Hyden several times and will continue to do so.

I highly recommend Crossroads Animal Hospital. My son's dog had a lump develop rapidly and most vets were full and couldn't see her. When I called Crossroads they were wonderful in assessing over the phone and getting her an appointment quickly. When I took her in the tech was wonderful and the doctor got down with her on the floor and you could see how comfortable my dog was with both of them. Wonderful place and we will be taking all 3 of our dogs and our cat in to them from now on.
