My neice missed an appointment this morning and I just happened to be present when she made the call to apologize and see if a reschedule was possible. The lady who answered the phone was incredibly rude and condescending. My niece is 19 and has neither a stable financial situation nor a stable situation with a phone so for the lady to repeatedly say that she called her and left her a message as if it justifies the way she was speaking to her is unbelievable. Your employee should learn something about customer servicer, poverty, and reality, I hope she gets fired. Everyone I know will be hearing about this.

Dr Regnier has taken care of my dogs for 16 years. He gives the best care and his front office assistant Jo is always friendly and very helpful.

We have gone here since we moved to Springs last year. Dr. Regnier recently saw our sweet cat, who has a tumor in his mouth. He saw him on a Monday for the initial appointment, then squeezed me in later in the week because I was concerned about worsening symptoms. He told me he would need to do a biopsy, and they found time in their schedule to get him in the following morning. When I came to pick him up, Dr. Regnier brought our baby to me in his arms and showed me the surgical site and talked me through what to expect. He is so kind, gentle, and compassionate. They are always up front with costs before they do anything, and are not pushy about any services they offer.

My large breed dog has had several minor and a few major issues and Dr. Regnier has always been very caring and attentive. The price of car is very reasonable.

During the 3/19 blizzard, Dr. Regnier kept his office open so my sick cat could be seen. She had abnormal swelling and a potentially bad tooth. He quickly and compassionately diagnosed her problem and offered solutions, starting with conservative yet effective care. Rarely have I experienced a vet who loves what he does this much. Thank you so much for seeing us on short notice a d during bad weather! You've won a client as long as your practice remains open.

Got my puppy spayed here today. The service was polite and professional. The vet was friendly and his staff was informative. Their availability was more open than the many other places I had attempted to schedule with, and the price was still lower than most. I was given an estimate of the overall costs over the phone, and was charged the same amount with no surprises or complications. I am not usually one to write a review, but needless to say I left happy and feel well taken care of.

This vet should get his license revoked, my dog was a healthy dog for being 10yrs old. And he neglected to do an EKG on her and now she’s dead because of his negligence!! I’m going to school to be a Vet and I’ve asked my teachers and other vets about a scenario like this and they all said it was his negligence to not take blood work on her and do and EKG!! He even said this has happened before at his clinic where the dog dies!! This is the worst vet ever and not my dog fixed for it!! Only went in for a check up, and we asked for a dental cleaning and he didn’t bother doing blood work because I’ve never been to this vet and I never will!!

Highly recommended!! Great service and got me in the day I called for an appointment. I brought my 6 day old litter of 4 yorkie puppies. And when leaving the vet was so nice to have helped me carry the pet carrier out to my car since my hands were occupied carrying momma dog. This is our new vet

I love carefree animal clinic, they can always manage to get us in very quickly. Very affordable and friendly staff, they actually care about your pets.

This vet is entirely concerned with money over the health of your pet. They expect you to pay for an office visit just to get simple medication's that should be over the counter including ear mite, heartworm, and pest prevention. My dog was sick and they wanted to wait a week for an appointment for him. They lied on the phone about total cost of his vaccinations claiming it would take 2 rounds but they made me pay for 4 rounds before they said he was fully vaccinated. I would highly recommended using somewhere that actually cares about the dog not just money.

Doc Reqiner has taken outstanding care of my pets for 25+ years. I moved to the south end of town, but still drive up to Carefree because I trust my furry family members to him.

if giving this place 0 stars was doable i would pick that. first off my 10 year old princess needed to have her top canines pulled, but before a vet puts them under they r supposed to do blood work to make sure theres no kidney problems or anything to go under and have surgery. this blood work was not done. then i go to pick her up and i walk in and all I can smell is rubbing alcohol then the "doctor" brings out my sweet angel and she is drenched in the rubbing alcohol and her entire face was covered in her own blood then he tells me that "he found a crack on her lower canin and decided to file her tooth down " ?!?!?!?!? what he didnt know is that he had gotten xrays from a different vet which i could not afford and i know that before i took her in to this "animal hospital" her lower teeth were all fine.. so some how between me dropping her off and picking her up she magically managed to crack her own lower canine !?!?! I think not!! then for 2 weeks after her surgery she was throwing up violently i took her back and asked him what the h#!?is wrong with her now !?!??? he goes on to tell me that some times cats just throw up (ok u get that but not 7 times a freaking day!!!!) so he pumped her full of antibiotics ... and sent us so. our way ... since I've had my cat since she was a small fluff ball what could sit on my palm to the 20 lbs beast she is today i know my cat very very very very well so i know when some thing is wrong with her ... and something still wasn't right with her ... so i took her in to an actual animal hospital with real vets who give a damn and aren't cruel brutal butcher's and they asked me to bring in all of her previous medical records .. which other then the xray amd then the extraction and the second visit for throwing up she had never ever not even once had to go to a vet.. and since these ppl didnt give me anything more then a piece of paper printed from the internet on how to care for my cat after having surgery they never gave me any documents what so ever .. so the new vet tried to call down to these guys and they acted like they couldn't find me so I must have mistaken what vet I went to ... I was like umm no I know exactly where I went im not brain dead !!!! so then i emailed this guy and asked for the medical records to be sent to me or at least pulled out so i could come pick up some copies for her new vet ... and they want to ignore me now ... so i am currently seriously debating on a law suit to have him pay for the further damage he has caused by cracking her lower canine some how (i believe the pliers slipped and that's how the lower canine mysteriously got cracked) .... (oh not yo mention he himself didnt do any xrays and they r supposed to do them before and after the extractions to ensure that no fragments got left inside the gums before stitched up ) so would i recommend this guy ... umm what do u think ??? if u love ur pet... go some where else ... paying the extra money is well worth knowing ur lil baby love is actually taken care of properly!!!!..... I hope that every single person considering on taking their pet here considers this as a forewarning of what could happen to ur baby !!!!

I called today because I have a very sweet dog that has been feeling terrible. I sincerely appreciate the fast appointment and immediate attention that was given to him! You all gave my family peace of mind, thank you again.

“Kia Reed” is not a client here. “Chris Simpson” moved to another state and tried to get us to prescribe medications there for problems there instead of finding a new Veterinarian. It is illegal to prescribe in a state I don’t have a license for. He said either do it or he’d give us a bad review. That is blackmail. “Crystal Hollobaugh”- Her cat did have lab work, including blood work and alcohol was used on the electrocardiograph probes. The alcohol is wiped off and quickly evaporates. May have had a little smell left because she insisted on picking up right after surgery. The quick release was made possible by using reverse anesthesia. Blood tinge is expected on any tooth extraction even with suturing, which was done. The upper canines were removed because they were broken off. The lower left canine tooth had a small chip off the end and was sharp to the tongue. Whatever broke the other teeth right above probably chipped it as well. I filed the tooth tip that was chipped so it wouldn’t cut the tongue. I didn’t even charge for that. When the cat came in two weeks later for vomiting, the gums of the extractions had healed nicely. They showed late for their appointment right at closing for the vomiting exam and I stayed there 30 minutes after closing. The cat started throwing up that day, not for 2 weeks as stated. Would someone really wait 2 weeks to get it in if throwing up that long? The cat did great with the prescribed medications and the owner sent me a long email, which I still have, thanking me and that her cat was doing great. On Nov. 7 at 12:05 pm I received an email requesting records. The return email of her records were sent promptly at 1:11 pm the same day. Now, I’m getting this review; doesn’t make any sense at all. Clearly, I am sorry for any reason someone is upset. The correct approach would be to come in and sit down and talk about it, not blindsiding people with negative reviews.

This vet has come to our rescue several times now, quickly finding out what was wrong with our pets (1 cat and 2 dogs) and getting them back on their feet. I'll never go to another vet!

Samantha at the front desk has the best customer service skills you could ever imagine. The doctor was so sweet to our kitten and i was comfortable leaving her in his care. The prices are the best i could find in the area. Not to mention my cat was in and out on the same day!

Dr. Regnier has been our family vet for almost 10 years now. I love that Carefree Animal Clinic is not a huge office and my pets are catered to upon arrival. Very friendly staff that helps clients through phone calls and scheduling (even when you have 4 pets like we do). He has helped us through Canine Flu and traveling for our cats so they remain calm and comfortable. Thank you for the personalized service, being their and sticking to your word.

My husband took our pup in for a physical and to check up on why she was sick for a few days. One of the vets there picked our puppy up by her collar to set her on the table and treated her like a rag doll. Medication prescribed made her condition worse. They were all very friendly and didn't make us wait very long, but didn't treat our animal with care.

Dr. Regnier and his staff are professional and compassionate. I was happy to see that same day appointments are available. Their prices are very reasonable. Many clinics are now being bought out by large veterinary cooperations and have lost their personal touch. Carefree Animal Clinic still has that personal touch.

I have been going to Carefree Animal Clinic since December 1995 when I moved to Colorado. I chose him by location at first, but once I continued my visits, he was definitely the one that cared for my dog and cats. When my Pomeranian was slowly dying at 13, we did not give up, tried everything, his assistant in 1998, Dee, donated her own dogs blood, my dog lived another healthy 4 years to 17. Dr. Regnier was extremely caring to my charismatic dog, hugging him and had wet eyes, we did not give up. Those things I never forget. Since then, he has seen two more of my current dogs and remaining cats. They know my pets extremely well, and there is no hesitation to bring them in, even if they are booked. When we leave from an appointment, Dr. Regnier has a dog treat and has my dogs sit and do a trick. He and Priscilla, the current assistant, are like personal medical assistants, having our needs taken care of in a professional, accurate, timely, and caring manner. She calls me in advance if I need a reminder. The cost is perhaps the lowest of all vets in the area. It is a clinic, not a hospital, but they do whatever they can and follow up to make sure they are healthy and I am happy and free of worry. Their euthanizing is very compassionate, with hugs and true sorrow, and payment is not taken from me until I return for the ashes and urn. Why shop around when there is a 19 year history of positive results?
